White House: DOJ ´should certainly

Fox News, by Alex Pappas

(Video) - The Department of Justice should consider prosecuting James Comey for his “improper” actions while serving as FBI director, the White House said Tuesday. Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, argued during the daily press briefing that Comey’s actions as FBI director “were improper and likely could have been illegal.” Asked if President Trump wants the Department of Justice to prosecute Comey, Sanders said that’s “something they should certainly look at.” Sanders said the former FBI director “politicized an investigation by signaling he would exonerate Hillary Clinton before he ever interviewed

Comments:
Advice to Comey, who has trouble telling nothing but lies" Get a good lawyer, bodyguard, and safe house. Things get dicey when Hillary's name is tied to it.

FTA: “‘The president is proud of the decision that he made,’ Sanders said Tuesday. ‘The president was 100 percent right in firing James Comey. He knew at the time it could be bad for him politically, but he also knew and felt he had an obligation to do what was right.’ She added: ‘He’s very happy with the decision he’s made and I think he’s been fully vindicated.’”

My, my, my. Bannon certainly did a fine job baiting the enemedia hook during Old Charlie’s interview. By “revealing” he felt the Comey firing was a political mistake he knew the jackals would run to the WH looking for blood. Instead they get confidence in the decision and an opening to publicly throw the ball into DOJ’s court. I’m still holding my fire on Sessions’ seeming inaction in the belief that he is playing possum and luring the Deep State into a false sense of confidence, a la Hillary!. The DOJ is the center of the Deep State resistance and I believe the most difficult nest of vipers to clean out. I’m willing to be patient. Time will tell.

Swamps are major obstructions when laying new track but they can be dealt with in many ways. Draining is often the first choice of action, but sometimes its not feasible. Alternatives include bypassing around the muck, or building a trestle bridge over the mire. If the swamp cannot be destroyed it can be made irrelevant. The Trump Train will not be stopped.

MAGA – In myriad and unexpected ways.

President Trump has an aggressive game plan to corral senate support for tax reform, including repeated phone calls, golf outings, formal meetings and deploying Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner in a charm offensive. Malta’s government is offering an “unprecedented” reward of €1m (£890,000) for information about who killed a prominent investigative journalist with a car bomb. Authorities described the investigation into the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, whose reporting on corruption targeted the Prime Minister and other senior political figures, as “a case of extraordinary importance which requires extraordinary measures”. The Senate on Thursday soundly rejected Sen. Rand Paul’s attempt to cut $43 billion in defense spending out of the 2018 budget plan, after he had pitched it as a way to try to rein in government spending even further. Mr. Paul’s amendment failed on a 5-95 vote, with GOP Sens. Steve Daines of Montana, Jeff Flake of Arizona, James Lankford of Oklahoma, and Mike Lee of Utah voting with Mr. Paul. “We have a $20 trillion debt - it’s about whether we’re serious about tackling that debt,” Mr. Paul said, saying leaders plan to “hide” the additional money in a special war fund to get around mandatory spending caps.

New York - Almost three-quarters of Americans fear the US is to become involved in a “major conflict” in the next few years, according to a new survey. Amid escalating tensions with North Korea over its aggressive missile tests and development of nuclear warheads, combined with sabre-rattling from Donald Trump, 72 per cent of the population fears the country will become embroiled in such a war within four years. Most people believe the greatest threat to the US is from North Korea, followed by Isis and Russia. Only two per cent of people believe Iran is the greatest threat.

Let’s put the Uranium One scandal in perspective: The cool half-million bucks the Putin regime funneled to Bill Clinton was five times the amount it spent on those Facebook ads — the ones the media-Democrat complex ludicrously suggests swung the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. The Facebook-ad buy, which started in June 2015 — before Donald Trump entered the race — was more left-wing agitprop (ads pushing hysteria on racism, immigration, guns, etc.) than electioneering. The Clintons’ own long-time political strategist Mark Penn estimates that just $6,500 went to actual electioneering. (You read that right: 65 hundred dollars.) By
