President Trump´s chief of staff, General John Kelly, fired back at the execrable insults of Rep. Luis Gutierrez, who called him "a disgrace to the uniform he used to wear," simply for serving as chief of staff after President Trump´s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and throw the matter back to Congress. A local radio station described Gutierrez´s unprovoked attack as "DACA hysteria." Kelly was even more withering: “As far as the congressman and other irresponsible members of congress are concerned, they have the luxury of saying what they want as they do nothing and
Comments: Gutierrez was lucky he got off that easy. The Chicoms got much worse and they were in for a surprise.
Aside from sucking off the taxpayers as a politician, the only thing this leech has ever done with his life is drive a cab. He is a failure and a disgrace to every American who has worked to make something of themselves.
There was a time when such words disparaging an honorable and courageous man´s reputation were met with much more than mere words. There would be blood to pay and probably a life.
Kelly responded the only way he legally can these days. But, many men, even to this day who are not bound by such incredible duties and responsibilities as General Kelly, do not let such things pass without the infliction of at least some very serious personal consequences.
Gutierrez is of hispanic descent. He is a consummate coward to utter those words in this mild and sissified environment. His ancestors would have ridiculed him. Had he said such things against even his own brother back in the day of honor, there very soon would have been a Hispanic family short one son!
Gutierrez and the rest of the "party of Barack Hussein Obama"... the Democratic Socialists of America... want only one thing... the destruction of our great country... and turning it into another Venezuela... where they will rule our very lives. Evil!
Maybe Gutierrez is not a citizen of the USA and is an Illegal Alien who doesn´t know any better. Either that or he is the most Stupid Jacka$$ I have ever experienced. He is a Loudmouth with no Manners at all. A waste of a human Form.
What the liberal Democrats need to do during the run up to the next election is to get all their Gutierrez types up front to slam veterans in general. That will ensure that they lose a lot of votes across the country.
In the case of this Gutierrez obviously he holds the same contempt for disciplined military organizations such as the USMC as a lot of his liberal Democrat contemporaries. If those liberal Democrats have their way, they would label the USMC as being "extreme" and call for that military organization to be disbanded and be rolled into the Army..
SAN DIEGO - One person apparently drowned and up to seven others may have tried to enter the United States through the rough surf off La Jolla overnight, firefighters said Sunday. Lifeguards were called to the rocks just north of Tourmaline Beach at about 11 p.m. Saturday on a report of a person yelling from the water, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokeswoman Monica Munoz said. A rescue boat crew found a 32-year-old man from Mexico swimming and hauled him to shore, authorities said. The man told lifeguards there were more people in the water. Lifeguards called other agencies for help after spotting a
New York Times journalist Glenn Thrush has been suspended following sexual misconduct allegations. A spokeswoman for the Times said Thrush is suspended while the publication investigates, according to Vox. "The behavior attributed to Glenn in this Vox story is very concerning and not in keeping with the standards and values of The New York Times,” said Eileen Murphy, the newspaper´s senior vice president of communications, in a statement to Vox. “We intend to fully investigate and while we do, Glenn will be suspended. We support his decision to enter a substance abuse program. In the meantime, we will not be commenting further.” Vox interviewed
Zimbabwe´s President Robert Mugabe has shocked expectations that he would resign by pledging to remain on as leader of his ZANU-PF party in an address to the nation. That despite the party removing him as leader earlier in the day. The party’s Central Committee had given the 93-year old less than 24 hours to vacate his office or face impeachment. The move was an attempt to draw his lengthy reign to a close following a de facto coup. However when he addressed the nation on Sunday, Mugabe made no mention of resigning. In a long speech Mugabe vowed to preside over
Zimbabwe’s hideous 93-year-old dictator, Robert Mugabe, was given until noon Monday by his former security chief to pack his bags or leave the Ceaucescu way. If Mugabe refused to go, “We will bring back the crowds and they will do their business,” Mutsvangwa told reporters. Reuters continued: [Emmerson] Mnangagwa, a former state security chief known as “The Crocodile,” is expected to head an interim post-Mugabe unity government that will focus on rebuilding ties with the outside world and stabilising an economy in freefall.
The founder of the opposition research firm behind the Trump dossier told Congress this week that he regretted that the fruits of his investigation of a critic of the Kremlin were provided to and used by a top Russian government official. A source familiar with Glenn Simpson’s testimony told The Daily Caller that the Fusion GPS partner also told the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) that he knew that Christopher Steele, the British spy who wrote the dossier, had provided briefings to the FBI during the campaign. Simpson, who testified behind closed doors for nearly seven hours on Tuesday, denied
Bad as the 18 corruption charges against New Jersey´s Sen. Bob Menendez were, the original motive behind the Justice Department´s prosecution against him was worse. That´s worth remembering as the news of his hung-jury trial probably amounts to an acquittal, given that most jurors (8-2) thought the charges of funds for favors were unproven, and prosecutors may be reluctant to retry against those odds. According to the New York Daily News: Prosecutors assembled a mountain of evidence that Menendez traded hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts and campaign contributions from a scam-artist Florida ophthalmologist for official favors. No conviction. The Washington Post
Venezuela has been declared a deadbeat on its debt by both Fitch Ratings and Standard & Poor´s after it couldn´t cough up $260 million for a couple of sovereign bond payments. Now any bond with Venezuela´s name on it – and all the bonds issued in the country – will be affected. This will add up to billions. All that´s left now is for the repo men of the bond world, the Investment Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), to declare default to trigger cross-default clauses on a type of bond insurance known as credit default swaps for the deed to
Republican Roy Moore is on the hot seat for alleged bad behavior around women and girls some 40 years ago. Why aren´t Democrats Joe Biden and Bob Menendez as well? Former vice president Biden, recall, has a long history of groping women, touching them inappropriately in public, making them obviously uncomfortable, as some of these photos show. Biden is in line as a top Democratic Party contender for the presidency, and nobody´s saying a thing about this. Substantially worse than Biden is Democratic senator Bob Menendez, now on trial in New Jersey for corruption. He´s been accused of having a penchant for
S&P Global Ratings downgraded Venezuela´s foreign currency sovereign credit rating late Monday beyond junk to "selective default" after it failed to make two payments within a grace period. There´s still hope for restructuring with only some issues in peril. But Venezuela´s unpaid obligations total $420 million, and four additional coupon payments are overdue but within their grace periods. S&P lowered two issues´ ratings to "D" (default) and said there is a one in two chance that the government could "default again" over the next three months. On Monday, bondholders met in Caracas at the invitation of President Nicolas Maduro to discuss
Venezuela, one of the world’s riskiest credits, was declared in default by S&P Global Ratings after missing two interest payments on its debt. The nation, home to the world’s largest oil reserves, owed investors about $200 million and failed to make those payments by the end of a 30-day grace period that expired over the weekend, S&P said in a statement in which it lowered the country’s rating to SD. Plagued with payment delays and running low on cash, it’s the first time in recent years the government has exceeded the buffer period on its bonds. State oil producer Petroleos de
One of the most popular arias in the opera catalogue, sung by the licentious Duke of Mantua in Giuseppe Verdi´s Rigoletto, is the tenor song "La donna a mobile." Its opening, "qual piuma al vento" (woman is fickle like a feather in the wind), is a cynical masculine put-down sung by a scoundrel. But its later lines, "muta d´accento e di pensier" (she changes in voice and in thought), are curiously applicable to a real-life Donna: the Democratic Party politician Donna Brazile. This Donna is no novice to local and national party politics in the U.S. She has long been an
In the latest chapter of the great illegal immigrant sob story, turns out the post office hasn´t bothered to deliver a number of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) renewals on by the tight Oct. 5 deadline set by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. At first glance, it looked like another activist dance from the lawyers lobby representing some sad-sacks who just can´t quite follow the rules. Thirty-three applicants out of 122,000 did not have their mailed applications into the hands of the immigration authorities on time. But the New York Times story does show that the DACA recipients´ complaints have merit.
Former IRS executive Lois G. Lerner told a federal court last week that members of her family, including “young children,” face death threats and a real risk of physical harm if her explanation of the tea party targeting scandal becomes public. Ms. Lerner and Holly Paz, her deputy at the IRS, filed documents in court Thursday saying tapes and transcripts of depositions they gave in a court case this year must remain sealed in perpetuity, or else they could spur an enraged public to retaliate. “Whenever Mss. Lerner and Paz have been in the media spotlight, they have faced death threats and
Doug Jones, the Democrat running for Alabama’s U.S. Senate seat, says he loves to hunt but the Second Amendment has “limitations.” He believes that every right enumerated in the Bill of Rights is limited, and the Second Amendment is no exception.According to the Alabama Political Reporter, Jones described himself as “a Second Amendment guy,” but stressed that some gun control is necessary. He said, “We’ve got limitations on all constitutional amendments in one form or another.” This position is contrary to the clear language of the amendment, which states that the right to keep and bear arms “shall not be
The father of one of the UCLA basketball players arrested on suspicion of shoplifting while on tour in China isn´t praising President Donald Trump for his involvement in their release. When asked by ESPN what role the president played in brokering his son´s freedom, LaVar Ball — a former basketball player himself and star on the Facebook reality series "Ball in the Family" — responded with his own questions. "Who? What was he over there for? Don´t tell me nothing," Ball said. "Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out." Ball in EPSN´s report on Saturday also downplayed
What a disgusting cesspool of self-serving corruption is the nation’s capital and no better example of that can be found today than Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell who, according to longtime political activist, Ned Ryun, was a primary source of the anti-Roy Moore stories that are now attempting to sway the upcoming Alabama special election and help clear the path for a Trump impeachment attempt in 2018.“…I strongly suspect it’s a very short list of people, all who are associated with Mitch McConnell – whether it’s Josh Holmes, whether it’s Karl Rove, might even be Steven Law – I don’t
Kathy Griffin is coming unglued. The D-list comedian, who was blasted for releasing a photo of herself holding a bloody severed head that looked like President Trump, posted another bizarre video to her YouTube page on Saturday. In the video, which she called the "State of the Union," she said, "I´m admitting that I lost my mind." The 57-year-old claimed she´s on Interpol’s list and is being shunned by Hollywood. “I just want you guys to know that I am fully in the middle of a blacklist, like I’m in the middle of a Hollywood blacklist. It is real. I’m not booked on any
Malia Obama appears to be settling in just fine at Harvard. On Saturday, former President Obama´s eldest daughter was caught making out with a handsome fellow Crimson fan at the annual Harvard-Yale game. Yale hosted this year´s face off, which saw Harvard students decamping down to New Haven to tailgate at their rival´s campus before the game. The 19-year-old former first daughter, who took a gap year before starting at Harvard this fall, was seen locking lips with a mystery man at the festivities outside of the Yale Bowl. Video shows the moment Malia reached up and put her arms
While editing ‘Vanity Fair’ in the ’80s and ’90s, Daily Beast founder Tina Brown confided some of her best dish to her now published diary, including this gem about Jackie Kennedy. Thursday, July 6, 1989 Quogue- I love how New York changes so completely in the summer. It’s my favorite time of year here, sitting at my wooden desk before the open window with the cool sea breeze. The August issue arrived by FedEx. The Jackie O cover story, and Michael Milken’s rise and fall by Marie, is a much more commercial combo than July. To generate some summer heat I assigned Ed Klein to do Jackie to mark her sixtieth birthday. I asked him because he was always going on about how she liked him when he edited The New York Times Magazine.
Charles Manson, the hippie cult leader who became the hypnotic-eyed face of evil across America after orchestrating the gruesome murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969, died Sunday after nearly a half-century in prison. He was 83. Manson, whose name to this day is synonymous with unspeakable violence and madness, died of natural causes at Kern County hospital, according to a California Department of Corrections statement. TMZ was first to report on the killer´s death. The celebrity-news site reported that Debra Tate, the sister of Sharon, said she received a call
Brooklyn College is kowtowing to cop-hating students by directing officers who need a bathroom break to the broken-down facilities in a building on the far edge of campus. Amid a planned petition drive to ban cops from the taxpayer-funded campus, Donald Wenz, the school’s director of public safety, told the student newspaper The Excelsior that he’s trying to keep New York’s Finest out of sight. While Wenz said all of the school’s restrooms were technically open to cops, the college prefers they stick to those in the isolated West End Building, “rather than walking across either quad to use the
WASHINGTON — Maine Sen. Susan Collins went further Sunday than most of her Republican colleagues in expressing worry about the sexual assault allegations against President Donald Trump, saying they were one of the reasons she did not vote for him.“Those allegations remain very disturbing,” Collins said in an interview on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” She added that she did not support Trump in the 2016 campaign in part because of news reports about women accusing him of unwanted touching or kissing.
In the longstanding liberal narrative about Bill Clinton and his scandals, the one pushed by Clinton courtiers and ratified in media coverage of his post-presidency, our 42nd president was only guilty of being a horndog, his affairs were nobody’s business but his family’s, and oral sex with Monica Lewinsky was a small thing that should never have put his presidency in peril. That narrative could not survive the current wave of outrage over male sexual misconduct. So now a new one may be forming for the age of Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump. In this story, Kenneth Starr and the
A spokesperson for Sen. Al Franken, a Democrat from Minnesota, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that ´no´ the embattled senator would not resign. ´He is spending time with his family in Washington, D.C., and will be through the Thanksgiving holiday,´ the aide told the newspaper. ´And he´s doing a lot of reflecting.´ On Thursday, Franken became the latest high-profile man whose career is now in jeopardy over bad behavior with a woman. Radio host Leeann Tweeden said in 2006, when performing alongside Franken at a traveling USO tour, the then-comedian grabbed her breasts without her permission when Tweeden was sleeping and kissed
