Mueller’s criminal investigators focus on
Trump’s tangled financial ties with Russians

Washington Times, by Dan Boylan and Guy Taylor

Original Article

Special counsel Robert Mueller is obsessed with President Trump’s network of business interests for suspected money laundering as a critical focus of his investigation into Russian meddling in the presidential election last year, according to sources from the intelligence community close to the former FBI director. One of the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the special counsel, who this year hired a staff of 16 lawyers with significant experience prosecuting such financial crimes, is focused on unraveling the Trump family’s tangled financial and real estate empire in a bid to find any connections to “dark money” investments

And WHAT does this FISHING EXPEDITION have to do with the election? Can we do this to Hillary´s finances? Pick a Congressman and put their finances under a microscope to find embarrassing or questionable activities. Almost none would come out well.

Having said all that, Trump has been under a microscope for a couple years and nothing has been found. I would bet that he comes out better than most if this were a legitimate exercise.

IT IS NOT!

Where the heck is the DOJ steering for Mueller. He is not an "independent" counsel, just a special counsel for the DOJ. A special counsel is supposed to investigate a PARTICULAR CASE of suspected wrongdoing , not a broad brush financial investigation.

As soon as Mueller tries to subpoena Trump´s financial records without strong and clear supporting evidence and reasons and connections to Russian interference in the election, he should be terminated, with prejudice.

Robert "Javert" Mueller knows he has nothing and will never get anything on Trump. He also knows that he is going to wind up even more hated than Comey -- hated by us for the persecutorial and perverse witch hunt, and hated by the Dem/Fake News Enemedia/ Prog/ Antifa covens for failing to deliver Trump´s scalp. This "leak" is a last ditch effort to goad Trump into firing Mueller -- at this point, it is Javert´s last and only chance for glory. Instead, it will be remembered as being as much a fraud and a failure as Mueller himself will be remembered. Then Mueller and his pal Comey and Lynch and Holder and Hillary -- and above all, Obama and the feculent fraud and failure´s "unmaskers" and other assorted criminals, liars and thugs -- will learn the enduring truth of the old adage --and the de facto motto of the Department of Justice-Not-JustUs -- that "If you strike at the King, you must slay him."

This is a disgusting politicized witch hunt. We all well remember Joseph Stalin´s, "Show me the man and I will show you the crime". And, how the Nazi´s deliberately passed so many laws, as to make it "legal" for them to arrest all of their political enemies. This is horrid business, Mueller should never have been appointed. And the swamp is working to save itself, not this country.

It appears that Mueller´s job is to continue investigations until after November, 2018 elections. This will allow Dem Congressional candidates to attack their GOP opponent as "blindly defending Trump, soft on Russia, defending corruption by PDT" and other Dem smears. Will also give DNC controlled MSM endless opportunities to hassle GOPers with questions about Russian hacking, money laundering, etc,

On 12/24/18, Mueller & team of now 46 Dem lawyers will finally release report that they uncovered nothing that connected Trump and his 2016 campaign to Putin & Russians. But Mueller will urge Congress to keep looking, at least until 2020 elections are over. And, Mueller will make argument that James Comey should be added to Mount Rushmore for his courageous efforts to shield Hillary from obvious indictment while doing his best to undermine President Trump.

Every significant financial transaction with a wealthy Russian can be classified as ´connected to the Russian government-but is meaningless. The sudden wealth accumulated by a relatively small group of people after the demise of the USSR is a reality.
But to trace old business transactions presumes the Russian government believed that Trump would become president, which is absurd

I still say ... the best way to stop this Mueller deep state foolishness is for the DOJ to appoint another special counsel to investigate the obstruction of justice, abuse of powers (IRS, FBI, national security) and such of the previous administration, including the Clinton "matter").

Appoint a counsel "above reproach" and staff it with Republican donor lawyers. Oh yeah, and make it clear that there are a limited number of "get out of jail free" cards for folks willing to come forth with information.

But the rule is that this counsel is limited in their spending to that equal to the Mueller witch hunt. Since Mueller and his cronies have a few month head start, this should be easy to track.

My guess is that the Democrats would insist that Mueller close up shop by the end of the day.

Looking at business deals done about 2008, whatever happened to the Statutes of Limitation on criminal prosecutions?

That time period was a lifetime before President Trump announced for office and any "collusion" between Trump and the Russians could have occurred.

Clearly this matter is a Democrat and never Trump inspired political witch hunt designed to get a hold of President Trump´s tax records for over a long period of time and then leak them to the liberal media who will then make all sorts of unsubstantiated insinuations all the way through the 2020 election cycle.

If they are able to do that it is sure to keep successful business people out of national politics in the future and leave the DC "swamp" to the Uni party.

The American political community has not taken adequate notice of Hillary Clinton’s book What Happened (the title is not posed as a question). It was generally panned when it came out a couple of months ago for blaming everyone but herself for her defeat. I have never been a Clinton-basher, and I was astonished by the venom, untruthfulness, and zealotry of her account. Mrs. Clinton writes persuasively of seeking “grace” after her defeat, and concluded most of her speeches throughout the 2016 campaign calling for “love and kindness,” yet she is unrelievedly ungracious. She describes her opponent as a clear

Americans have been buried in the last six weeks by a blizzard of reports of sexual harassment, assault, misconduct and malfeasance from our politicians, journalists and Hollywood glitterati. In the last week alone, we´ve seen a picture of Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., during his pre-senatorial days placing his hands over a sleeping woman´s breasts; the suspension of New York Times journalist Glenn Thrush for allegedly harassing young female journalists; and eight women telling the Washington Post that fabled television host Charlie Rose had made unwanted sexual advances ranging from groping to lewd phone calls.

Sexual misconduct allegations against Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota could cost the Democrats a rising star who energized progressives and a rainmaker who drove millions into establishment coffers. During the 2016 election cycle, Franken transferred more than $322,000 in personal campaign funds to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. A similar cash infusion is presumably off limits in the upcoming 2018 midterm elections, as Franken is politically damaged goods now that he stands accused by two women of groping. Perhaps a bigger loss than his direct contributions to Democrats’ Senate campaign arm is the

A federal judge on Monday permanently blocked President Trump’s executive order to cut funding from so called “sanctuary cities.” Trump’s order would have removed some federal funds from cities that limit their cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities. U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick rejected the Trump administration’s argument that the measure only applies to a relatively small pool of money. Orrick also said that Trump cannot set fresh conditions on spending that Congress has previously approved. Monday’s ruling came in lawsuits brought by two California counties, Santa Clara and San Francisco.
