Jeffrey Lord Trashes CNN on Fox
News: ‘I Called Out People By
Name and Got Fired For It’

Mediaite, by Joseph A. Wulfsohn

Original Article

Posted By:Lalo, 9/5/2017 10:00:28 PM

Jeffrey Lord, the former CNN commentator who was fired last month over a controversial tweet, appeared on Fox News and talked about his firing. Tucker Carlson began by asking him to weigh in on CNN host W. Kamau Bell, who Carlson previously condemned for speaking at an Antifa rally accused him of “peddling hate.” Lord responded by telling him how he was asked by Jared Kushner if he could introduce then-candidate Donald Trump at a campaign event, but he declined because he “wasn’t sure if that was a good thing to do in terms of CNN” and then later on

Comments:
The justifiably miffed Lord vents. This just shows that, for anyone on the right, anything remotely Nazi, even used in context, that others can use freely under similar circumstances -- is radioactive. They will seize any excuse to pounce -- as in President Trump´s comments on C´ville. It´s just reality and you have to dance around it a bit unless you´re willing to spend a good bit of time batting off banshees and flying monkeys. ~ed. comment.

Hasn’t Jeffrey figured out the rules of the game after all there years? Just say what you are supposed to say, and you will be OK.

I think I have “The Five” figured out. The brainchild of Roger Ailes, as was much of Fox News. I watched most of it tonight. Substituting was the adorable brilliant Kennedy of the dark rimmed glasses, for that other beautiful dark haired beauty, Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is famously an attorney. She wears her dress a touch too low. Then we have Greg Gutfeld, who is funny, brilliant and always honest. And Watters, who doesn’t really own the world, but has remarkable insight for such a young person. The beautiful but sometimes ditzy former Bush press secretary, Dana Perino. Too bad she can’t remember what she said last. Then Juan Williams, hired to present an alternate viewpoint. Part of his contract involves the punishment Mrs. John Kerry described, hooking up electricity to genitalia from PAC 10 radios if he says anything close to sensible. And he has never had the treatment , so far.

Altogether a unique and almost enjoyable program.

DOJ Wants Shkreli’s Bail

Martin Shkreli just can’t help himself. The notorious “pharma bro” who was recently convicted on three counts of fraud in connection with hedge funds, was released on $5 million bail, but his behavior since then has led to the Justice Department pushing for him to be locked up ASAP. Earlier this week, Shkreli said in Facebook post (which he has since deleted), “On HRC’s book tour, try to grab a hair from her,” adding “Will pay $5,000 per hair obtained from Hillary Clinton.” He later claimed it was a form of satire, but it was enough for the DOJ to

As Hillary Clinton begins a book tour to promote her 2016 campaign autopsy “What Happened,” video has begun to swirl online of a 2014 interview between her and CNN’s Christiane Amanpour to promote her previous book, “Hard Choices.” During the exchange, Clinton had some tough words for the children of illegal immigrants, including waves of unaccompanied minors coming in 2014 — telling Amanpour that the United States was a nation of laws and that they probably had to go. “We have to send a clear message, just because your child gets across the border, that doesn’t mean the child gets to

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has taken a ton of heat over the past few days for essentially claiming that the warnings over Hurricane Irma — a massive Category 5 storm heading right for Florida — were related to a broader “deep state” conspiracy to promote climate change, force people to buy bottled water and increase the news media’s ratings. During his radio program yesterday, Limbaugh remained defiant, claiming that media accusations that he was placing people in danger by spreading conspiracy theories were completely untrue. And yet, at the same time, he doubled down on what he previously had said,

Power shift as Trump opens

Suddenly, it seems like Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) are driving the agenda in Congress. The deal President Trump struck with the two Democrats over the objection of the majority leaders in his own party has at least temporarily upended the balance of power in Washington, emboldening Democrats who now see space to work with Trump on immigration and spending. It’s a dramatic shift from Trump’s first seven months in office, when the president worked almost exclusively with Republicans and Democrats were largely an afterthought. But

During a Fox News appearance, House Speaker Paul Ryan tried to tone down the drama brewing between Republicans on Capitol Hill and President Donald Trump after his out-of-left-field deal with leading Democrats. “Perfectly reasonable and rational” — those were the words Ryan used to describe a Republican president going across the aisle to endorse a debt limit deal proposed by Democrats, instead of trying to work with members of his own party. The speaker also responded to Fox News’ Martha McCallum‘s question about rumors that he was anger over Trump’s decision, vowing he “wasn’t furious.” For Ryan, this was

All planned deployment of the U.S. missile defense system THAAD to South Korea is complete, 14 months after the United States and South Korea publicly announced the decision in July 2016. The deployment of four additional launchers to Seongju, central South Korea, prompted Chinese state media to issue a strong condemnation that likened THAAD to a "malignant tumor" that was as provocative as "North Korea´s nuclear weapons." South Korean Defense Minister Song Young-moo said Thursday the four launchers were all delivered to the designated site, 40 days after Seoul had agreed to place more missile defense in the area following

On this issue, his actions have been more effective than those of past presidents. So far, the assumption that Trump is bungling or exacerbating the crisis with North Korea isn’t justified. Ever since he came down the escalator at Trump Tower that fateful day in June 2015, President Trump’s critics have worried that his anger-management and impulse-control issues would be exposed in an international crisis. Everything we’ve learned about him tells us that he is temperamentally unsuited to diplomacy or putting forward the image of quiet strength and confidence that is synonymous with traditional ideas about good leadership.

Let us define our terms: What is an Act of War? There are two types of Acts of War: de jure, which means as a matter of law and de facto, which means as a matter of fact. Unless a nation literally announces (de jure) to the world community, as in a declaration of war, that it committed an attack on the personnel and/or territory of another nation it comes down to a matter of fact (de facto) as assumed by the nation being attacked. These are the established facts: since late 2016

WASHINGTON — Justice Anthony M. Golly. It’s one thing to suspend a reporter for making an incredibly damaging error of basic fact on air. But to remove him from covering a particular subject altogether? That’s the sort of thing you might do if you’d concluded he’s incapable of covering that topic fairly. If it’s an innocent mistake borne of carelessness, there’s no need to declare certain topics off-limits. You do that only when you think the reporter’s view of that topic will necessarily compromise his judgment. And if you’ve got a reporter like that on staff and the topic happens to be the president and

Mr. Mueller, held up by his fellow Blackstones as a model of lawyerly rectitude, teased everyone last week that after testing his prowess to the limit, he had hooked a mighty tuna.
