Trump’s Next Pardons: A Short List
of Convicts Deserving To Be Cleared

New York Sun, by Ira Stoll

President Trump’s pardon of Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Supporters may see Mr. Arpaio’s case as an example of a deplorable trend: the criminalization of policy differences. The Arizona lawman got caught in a fight over immigration policy. The sheriff was faulted for trying to enforce the immigration rules that Congress failed to rewrite but the Obama administration didn’t seem terribly keen on enforcing. If his office did disobey court orders along the way, he nonetheless lacked the intent necessary to escalate the matter to criminal contempt of court from a lesser civil contempt charge. Opponents of the pardon see racism in Mr.

As Commander-in-Chief, he simply pardon those soldiers and sailors who protected their troops on the battlefield and are in military prisons on trumped up charges by the muslims who lie to advance their cause.

Bradley Manning was not a candidate for pardon. If that treasonous thing is out walking around, there IS no military justice!

The fact is that many of those deserving of pardon were railroaded. Most are high profile people with political or business enemies - thus they are attractive to prosecutors & are targeted to generate media attention and add glam to legal bureaucrat´s career. Don´t forget Dinesh D’Souza!

Trump´s big problem:

President Trump´s speech in Alabama Friday night lasted one hour and 23 minutes. A transcript of his remarks runs just over 12,000 words. To say the speech wandered all over the lot is an understatement. Of course, Trump covered the Alabama Senate race — he was in Huntsville was to campaign for candidate Luther Strange — but he also discussed, in order: 1) the United Nations; 2) the recent hurricanes in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico; 3) North Korea; 4) the GOP´s failed effort to repeal and replace Obamacare; 5) the 2016 election; 6) Mitch McConnell; 7) John McCain; 8) the

WASHINGTON — The Latest on President Donald Trump´s travel ban (all times local): 10 p.m. The Trump administration spent months hashing out new travel restrictions on more than a half-dozen countries, determined to avoid a repeat of the chaos that accompanied President Donald Trump´s first version. But critics say they´re puzzled over the inclusion of some countries and believe Venezuela and North Korea were added to provide legal and political cover for what they say remains a "Muslim ban." The new restrictions covering citizens of Chad, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen — and some Venezuelan government officials and their families —

Huma Abedin is finally free of Anthony Weiner. The long-suffering former Hillary Clinton aide was a no-show at her sext-fiend husband’s sentencing Monday, leaving him to learn of his 21-month prison sentence alone. But Weiner’s soon-to-be ex-wife — and their 5-year-old son, Jordan — were still a presence in the federal courtroom, as he brought them up while making a last-ditch plea for probation. “Jordan has been my salvation. I always told myself if I get that one thing right, all else would be forgiven,” he said. “Your honor, I realize now that by not being honest about how I continued to knock myself

Chelsea Manning has been making quite a spectacle of himself out on Twitter, taking Michael Morrell´s and Mike Pompeo´s exit from the school as a welcome new opportunity to call attention to himself. He starts with an emoji-filled cheer at news of Morrell´s resignation from his own Harvard post based on its bad judgment in bringing him into the university to ´mentor´ students, declaring it ´good´ that Morrell has pulled out. Not a thought about how Morrell´s exit might affect Harvard, it´s all about himself and his feelings instead. Note the high emoji count, by the way - an advertisement

Democrats tried attacking Donald Trump as unfit for the presidency. They’ve made the case that he’s ineffective, pointing to his failure to sign a single major piece of legislation into law after eight months in the job. They’ve argued that Trump is using the presidency to enrich himself and that his campaign was in cahoots with Russia. None of it is working. Data from a range of focus groups and internal polls in swing states paint a difficult picture for the Democratic Party heading into the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential election. It suggests that Democrats are naive if they believe

As airlines pack seats tighter than ever, the tests supposed to show that passengers can get out alive in a crash are woefully out of date. The FAA won’t make the results public, and a court warns there is “a plausible life-and-death safety concern.” For years the airlines have been allowed to steadily shrink the size of coach class seats and the space between seat rows without regulators considering the impact of this on safety. A Daily Beast investigation has found: • The tests carried out to ensure that all the passengers can safely exit a cabin in an emergency are dangerously

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — In a state built on air conditioning, millions of Florida residents now want to know one thing: When will the power be back on? Hurricane Irma’s march across Florida and into the Southeast triggered one of the bigger blackouts in U.S. history, plunging as many as 13 million people into the dark as the storm dragged down power lines and blew out transformers. It also shattered the climate-controlled bubbles that enable people to live here despite the state’s heat, humidity and insects.

In the beginning of the 2016 presidential race, most conservatives like myself, had their own favorites and very few considered Donald Trump as one. Mine was Rick Perry followed by Marco Rubio once Gov. Perry dropped out. As the race proceeded and Trump continued to mow them all down, I was dismayed at how the debates seemed to be fixed by the GOP establishment and the media. Then a strange thing happened. I started listening to what Donald Trump was saying during his campaign. My brother Joe who was battling late stage cancer called me up one night speaking enthusiastically about how

CARSON, Calif. — It’s time for NFL owners to go beyond issuing statements and to make a statement: bring back quarterback Colin Kaepernick. On Sunday, from an undisclosed location, Kaepernick retweeted on his Twitter account several images of NFL players wearing T-shirts that read #IMWITHKAP. NFL owners need to show they are as well. They finally can dispel theories that Kaepernick has been blackballed for refusing to stand for the national anthem last season, or, fearing a blacklash from fans, that they simply lack the courage to give him another chance.
