Will Charlottesville Be Trump´s Katrina?
Investor´s Business Daily, by Staff

The Presidency: President Trump´s statements regarding the tragic events in Charlottesville have created a firestorm that, even by the unique Trump-era standards, appears unprecedented. Unless Trump can undo the damage, it could cripple his administration. In his presidential memoir, "Decision Points," President George W. Bush wrote about the fallout from 2015´s Hurricane Katrina and his own mishandling of the situation. In particular, he admitted that a photo taken of him flying over New Orleans was a huge mistake. "That photo of me hovering over the damage suggested I was detached from the suffering on the ground. That was not how

No.

There area thousand Katrina type events in Trumps life. They really don´t matter. The majority of voters don´t want statues removed and parks renamed by liberal revisionists, they hate the sanctimonious media and besotted leaders of education.

And they voted for Trump.

The Democrats have gone past the point of no return for their party. The basket of deplorable have become racists. They have gone from the opposition to great personal destruction, smearing all Trump voters, including black and latino, with the ugliest accusation. No going back on this one.

There is a MAJOR difference. Bush let himself be savaged by the press and rarely spoke up in his own defense. The media set the story and it was unchallenged. For those who want to know, we now know that the stories the media reported were mostly lies, some deliberate distortions, some seeking to inflate their own careers.

Trump has set the tone differently from the beginning. He has shown how the media lies and how they attack him because of their hatred of him.

Trump´s supporters KNOW that Trump is not a racist. The worst charge that could probably be hung on Trump is an indifference to the overused and raggedly worn RACISM charge. We are sick of it being trotted out every time a Black person is in the news. Our instant reaction is "I doubt it" because it usually isn´t true. So we build up a response of indifference because the Left trots out RACISM out every week and takes it for a spin to see if it will stick.

Leftists, especially Black Lives Matter, have been rioting, destroying, attacking people for years and the media never called for BO´s removal because "HIS People" were out of control. He wasn´t linked with the rioters. Their extreme weren´t linked to BO. Truthfully, it wouldn´t have been fair to do so, even though BO often spoke sympathetically about BLM.

But it isn´t fair or truthful to do it with Trump either.

Absolutely not. But I think it has made him angry enough to get to the bottom of this democrat "resistance" by going after Hillary, Barack and George Soros. Each of them want him gone for a different reason but we now know how the game is being played and who is financing the goons.

George Bush did nothing wrong visiting the New Orleans Katrina sight but the incompetent mayor of "Chocolate City" certainly did. Not to mention the corrupt police force and the thousands of low life residents who preyed upon their neighbors, all stupid enough to think they could fight a hurricane from positions below sea level. The free buses out of town were waiting...

Oh, how the demonrat socialist propaganda media hopes they can send this one out and it will stick!!!!!

Just a couple of weeks ago, New Orleans had flooding from torrential rains that flooded out much of the same places because the pumps couldn´t drain the water AFTER BILLIONS had been spent.

What happened? They tried to say the W willed Katrina to make a direct hit on ´Nawlins because HE was a racist, if you will remember.

Those who remember such things and call it out as BS are high on the list to be removed if the anarchists have their way.

President refused to run with the pack and castigate every "supporter" of Confederate heritage as being KKK a/o White-Supremacist. This showed me President Trump is a man of honesty and courage.
Three cheers for him to face down, on Tuesday, the pack of howling mongrels rudely insisting he specifically label the Heritage Supporters with labels of which they approve. For him to authoritatively proclaim what we all know as the truth; That the alt-left openly exists, that they instigated the violence, that they share the blame, and, if the "media" wasn´t so corrupt and fake, they´d report it!
Damn, he´s got a few rough spots, but he´s my man. A Leader!

The left tries to string these things together like Add-A-Pearls.

To the best of our knowledge, Soros did not drive Katrina, though what went on at the local level must surely have pleased him.

President Bush made a decision to not land in New Orleans with a full presidential entourage at a time when the city was under siege by the elements and all hell broke loose. All left-wing Democrat hell. Something he very reasonably believed was the wisest thing to do - stay out of the way and send help - is clearly still haunting him. But that photo was a “huge mistake”? Hardly.

More and more our Republican presidents seem to be hamstrung by “how will it look?” and “how will it sound?” while the Bubba Clintons and Hussein Obamas go their merry way, free as birds.

The reason they are not the same is that the media was able to pin the blame for the response on Bush--rightly or wrongly. Trump is certainly not responsible for what happened in Charlottesville and what he has said is correct. Where are Snopes, et al, proving him wrong? The counter-protesters did have clubs and were violent. It is on videotape. We don´t have all the facts about the driver who has been accused. He will have his day in court, eventually. Many of our founding fathers did have slaves, so where does the tearing down of monuments end.

Then he banned deep water drilling, the ban was overturned by a federal court and he ignored the court´s ruling. If I´m not mistaken, the ban is still in effect though the Gulf is thriving.

In a free and open market, dominance yesterday guarantees nothing tomorrow. Toys R Us once seemed like an unstoppable force. The number of stores in the U.S. more than doubled from 1987 to 1995, when it accounted for 20% of all toy sales in the country. In case anyone had any doubts as to why, her post-loss antics have cleared it up. In a lengthy interview with National Public Radio — one of countless she´s given to promote her 512-page finger-pointing new book — the host asked Clinton if she would "completely rule out questioning the legitimacy of this election." Her answer: "No, I would not." She lamented that "I just don´t think we have a mechanism" to do so. But then she went on to spin a rather bizarre conspiracy theory that attracted little attention.

Millennials, through no fault of their own, have been hit the hardest over the last decade by the Great Recession, the outrageous price increases of higher education, and failing ObamaCare. Millennials have seen double-digit unemployment and a 700% increase in the cost of education since the 1990s. In today´s lopsided economy, college degree-worthy jobs have disappeared and minimum-wage and part-time employment have become the norm due to the disastrous Affordable Care Act. Health Reform: After nine fruitless months, Republicans have finally come up with an ObamaCare replacement plan that is simple and appealing, and that should easily pass the Senate. Will the GOP blow it again? Put together by Sens. Bill Cassidy and Lindsay Graham, the plan would take the money being spent on ObamaCare´s insurance subsidies and Medicaid expansion, and give it to states in the form of fixed block grants. States would then have wide latitude in how they spend the money — for example, they could use it to set up high-risk pools, reduce out-of-pocket costs, pay providers or

United Nations - The Latest on President Donald Trump and North Korea (all times local): 8:00 a.m. Former Secretary of State John Kerry says President Donald Trump´s United Nations speech may have put America in isolation and danger. Appearing on MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" show Wednesday, Kerry criticized Trump´s harsh rhetoric against North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Kerry said, "You have to ask yourself: Is America safer because of ´rocket man?" He was referring to Trump´s characterization of Kim. Kerry said that kind of harsh language will make it harder for the United States to engage in diplomacy on

In Federalist No. 68, his pseudonymous essay on “The Mode of Electing the President,” Alexander Hamilton wrote that the Electoral College could shield the United States “from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils.” (Snip) Hamilton and his colleagues never could have envisioned a year like 2016, when an enemy state—Russia—was able to manipulate America’s election process with stunning effectiveness. But it’s clear the national security rationale for the Electoral College is outdated and therefore it should be retired. Simply put, it enables foreign powers to more easily pierce the very shield Hamilton imagined

Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown of California compared President Donald Trump supporters to prehistoric cave dwellers Monday during a New York climate event. Brown, an outspoken Trump critic, issued an usually harsh derision of Trump supporters after dismissing the president’s rhetoric on climate change science and U.S. policy toward North Korea as “stupid and dangerous and silly.” “They’re both kind of very similar,” Brown said. “You should check out the derivation of ‘Trump-ite’ and ‘troglodyte,’ because they both refer to people who dwell in deep, dark caves.” Brown attended the climate event, which coincided with the U.N. meeting in New York,

The Project, said O´Keefe, will lead to people being fired. "In the coming weeks, you’re going see one of the biggest investigations this organization has ever done," O’Keefe said. "It’s a continuation of American Pravda series. It’s aimed at the media. We’re going after their holy grail." "We have tripled our journalists in the field," he continued. "They are not even here, they are out there everyday. It’s gonna be big, it’s gonna be massive.

Hillary Clinton on Monday would not rule out the possibility of challenging the results of the 2016 presidential election, saying it’s clear the Russians influenced the outcome and that the legitimacy of President Trump’s victory could be called into question as congressional and independent probes into Russian involvement move forward. (Snip) “I wouldn’t rule it out,” she said, though she quickly admitted there’s virtually no legal path forward, and that challenging election results at this point would be unprecedented. “There are scholars, academics, who have arguments that it would be [possible], but I don’t think they’re on

President Trump disturbed some in the press after vowing in his United Nations speech to "destroy" North Korea should the country attack the U.S. In his speech, Trump referred to North Korean President Kim Jong Un as "Rocket Man" and said he was on a "suicide mission" in advancing the country´s nuclear weapons development. "The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea," he said. On Twitter, MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell said Trump "threatened to commit a war crime" by threatening North Korea.

Over the years, a curious habit has taken hold at the United Nations. A body designed to strengthen the best of humanity has too often become a font of doublespeak and appeasement that protects the worst of humanity. That tragic comity was shattered when President Trump played the skunk at the garden party and dared to tell the truth. Many truths, in fact. Among them, that Islamic terrorism is a scourge that must be stopped. That Iran is controlled by a “murderous regime” bent on getting nukes. That North Korea’s “Rocket man is on a suicide mission” and the United States “will have
