A Virginia State Police helicopter has crashed in Charlottesville, killing two people on board, hours after violent protests rocked the city. Emergency crews were at the scene of the downed aircraft in Old Farm Road around 5pm, near the Birdwood Golf Course, according to WSET. A statement released by Virginia State Police reads: ´Shortly before 5pm today (August 12), a helicopter crashed into a wooded area near a residence on Old Farm Road. I hate this. I am opposed to purging historical monuments, but "alt-right" and "white nationalist" do not apply to me. Apparently only zealots can have a say... on either side. Where is there room for sane, rational people to stand?

AN LDOTTER WRITES:

I believe the Charlottesville riot was staged because I live north of there and local people were warned there would be violence ahead of time. We were told to stay away. As soon as it happened, all the media had stories ready to go and progressive politicians were ready to speak out.

Prayers for the officers and their families. We must honor them and their dedication to duty that too often exposes them to risk.

RE #1: I notice that all networks - including FNC - are pushing the "white nationalist" label. Do not let it stick.

I am white, and I am a nationalist. I support President Trump. However I do not support the actions of the Klansmen, nor did I or do I support what ?Timothy McVeigh and ?Terry Nichols did in Oklahoma City 22 years ago. My ancestors never owned slaves. It goes without saying that I abhor the activities of the Soros-funded Antifas and other alt=left activist groups.

Do not let the left smear all whites who are sick and tired of being the target. And "believe me", they are trying. We know what they are really up to, and it is nothing short of treason.

I certainly don´t support any race based "nationalism" or Klan groups. I also know that conservatives/Trump supporters cannot meet in any public place for a pro-Trump rally without drawing the fascist "anti-fas" who come in and violently attack peaceful Trump supporters. Therefore, when I hear violence, based on past experiences, I blame the leftists. As for supporting the Confederate statues, isn´t this a free speech matter?

For eight years we watched very racist individuals (e.g. Al Sharpton) making hundreds of visits to the Obama White House, and the leaders of Black Lives Matter (a movement that led to the assassination of 12 police officers) being welcomed by Obama. The media condoned and cheered these visits. In my mind, all racism is poisonous (and the far more frequent and vociferous racism voiced in America is minority against whites).

I´m very sorry about the police officers being killed but people have a right to protest what they don´t like. Whites are fed up with what the liberals have been shoving down our throats and it´s getting worse even with trump trying to push back. I´ll bet most of the violence was induced by paid liberal thugs so Trump gets the blame for it. Already that maggot from CNN is blaming Trump. If these morons try to take Trump out on trumped up charges, there will be hell to pay coast to coast.

Stark contrast to all of the propaganda media and these disgusting politicians racing out to "condemn the hate and violence" now that it can be partially blamed on idiot white radical groups but when the Antifata and Black Lives matter looted, burned, and killed in cities across our country nary a peep of condemnation was heard from the media and the democrat communists. This is all staged.

By the way I am totally against removing the statues of confederate generals which is just another grab for power by the democrat communists by rewriting History. Does this make me a racist? No, but it does make me sick and angry.

The coverage I´ve seen, talks about white nationalist. I also saw that they in fact had a permit to hold a rally. Did the other side that came in to cause trouble, have a permit? If not, they and only they are responsible for what has happened. The city was not rocked by white nationalist rally. It was rocked by instigators probably paid by the usual suspects coming in to cause trouble. And the lame stream is doing their best to make sure the white nationalist´s are responsible for these deaths. Sorry I don´t agree with the white nationalist, BUT, they were not at fault for what happened.

There´s something twisted about this whole thing. First, it happens in Terry McAwful´s State, second, there are reports Idi Obama is back into his community agitation mode in between golf games and bathhouse visits. Next this whole meme of taking down the "War Between the States" monuments is taking on a fervor never seen EVER, as if they´re trying to stoke a civil war anew. And finally, we hear calls from the Liberalatti for "open revolt" against the sitting President and there´s a witch hunt underway outside the Oval Office.

I do suspect this has $0R0$ written all over it.

The ridiculous campaign by virtually every media outlet, every Democrat and far too many squishy Republicans to label Trump some kind of racist and Nazi sympathizer is beginning to have the stink of an orchestrated smear. The conflagration in Charlottesville is beginning to feel like a set-up, perhaps weeks or months in the planning. Planned by whom? Time may tell. We know that Michael Signer, the mayor of Charlottesville, declared his city to be the "capital of the resistance" just after Trump´s inauguration. We know that Gov. GETTYSBURG, Pa.- Officials with the National Park Service said the Confederate monuments at Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania will not be removed from the battlefield. Katie Lawhon, senior adviser for the park service´s Gettysburg battlefield office, told the Reading Eagle (http://bit.ly/2uTe2rn ) the site-specific memorials are important, and the park service´s job is to historically and objectively tell the stories the monuments commemorate. Her reassurance comes after a heated debate over Confederate monuments spread across the U.S. Three people died amid turmoil in Charlottesville, Virginia, Saturday over the planned removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.
