CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta unleashed a series of tweets throughout the day on Saturday blaming President Trump for the white supremacists rally and subsequently deadly violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. “These are the consequences of sanitizing white supremacists who seek to be rebranded as part of American ‘right.’ They are peddling hatred,” Acosta complained in his first tweet. Acosta made no attempt to look at his own employer or the rest of the news media in the mirror for the amount of free publicity they’ve given neo-Nazis over the last few years, but that would require a level-headed kind
Now the mayor is blaming Trump as well. I am sick of this. Whose fault were the recent Berkeley riots? What about Baltimore two years ago. What about all the violence against POTUS supporters. We´ve got to MAGA and stop this leftoid nonsense.
If you want to place the blame on these events, it should rest on news organizations like CNN who encourage the weak minded to get out and protest because the coverage of the ensuing riot brings in revenue for the media.
The elites of the northeast migrate to northern Virrginia and destroyed the culture as they have CA Oregan Washington CO and now heading for TX the elites leave a path of destruction The Govenor even lost his auto idea The Governor leads the pack you reap what you sow elites
The removal of Confederate statues is a deliberate provocation by the Left. They want this type of reaction to further their goals of destroying America. To turn one AMerican against another. It will never stop. Eventually George Washington will pay the price. He was a slave owner. He fought to create a country in which rich slave owners didn´t have to pay the English king his share of the profits. So a city and state will have to be renamed and we will get a new face on the one dollar bill. And the world´s largest phallic symbol will be renamed the Clinton Memorial. Can´t comment on Acosta´s remarks because I NEVER watch CNN.
Well Jim, I´d say eight years of Revrum Wright´s “God-Damn America”-hating, Taqiyah Sunrise-Drinking, Purple-Lipped, Jug-Eared, Momjeans-Wearing, Shame Gland Missing, Peace-Prize Stealing, Lying, Denying, America-Hating, Jihadi-Loving, Deserter-Honoring, Communist-Organizing, Wire-Tapping, Benghazi Bullshitting, Marxist, Muzlim, Mallard (disguised as a Black man), along with the he rise of the Left, their “Victimization” of America and their attacks on the Common man calling us Racists, Homophobes, iSlamophobes, Fascists, Dangerous, Deniers, Depolorables, Misogynists, Sexists, Domestic Terrorists and who knows what else while watching them fabricate story after story has a LOT more to do with it than the bullshit you come up with! Hell the Left has even invented new terms that never existed before! Didja know they’re now up to 51 genders now? Gee Wally, maybe we should just call them the Heinz generation! All simply to to entrap someone and create a situation! The Left deliberately creates Chaos because they revel in Chaos!
The blame belongs on the fascists that directly caused the situation. The guy was trapped in his car with them all around taunting him. Rocks were thrown striking his vehicle. Was he to wait and see what they had in mind? Or do what any rational person would and place his life as more valuable than that of those assaulting him?
Of course idiot Acosta would think this is Trump´s fault, because Trump had the audacity to not only take on her Royal Thighness, Queen Hillary, but to also beat her. Today´s violence is the direct result of the Left´s persistent attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 election and to whitewash history by trying to erase Confederates from the history books. You can only attack one side so many times before the attacked have had enough of it and turn on the attackers. The Snowflakes ill-advised decision to take on the more extreme elements of The Right who came out to protest in Charlottesville was a recipe for disaster. Shame someone had to die, but it was inevitable, and the Left, embodied by morons like Acosta, only has itself to blame.
No Jim, liberalism and "PC historical revisionism" is what´s to blame here.
Let´s try this on for size, you lead the ´righteous fight´ to have Martin Luther King, Jr.´s ´raw´ FBI file released to the public... something that has been refused even 50 years after his death. What was it in that file the leftists want to remain buried??
If it´s "OK" to let MLK´s history to remain, then why not the VERY REAL history of the "War Between the States" over "States´ Rights???" It was NEVER about slavery, it was about secession from the Union, something your leftist fiends in California want to do right now... should we go to war against them too?
When that incident turned violent the police should have moved in immediately and arrested the rioters. That should have been done right away as there were not that many people who were acting out violently. If there is any political blame it is with the local and state politicians and police who allowed the incident to get out of control. This had nothing to do with President Trump no matter what the liberal Democrat grandstanding politicians claim.
No, it is the opposite, of course. Acosta and his leftist haters, so self-righteous and obnoxious, insisting that anything "white" must be disrespected, whether current or historic.
Go to Hades, Acosta.
These people really are trying their best to divide the country and cause violence. These paid "antifa" fascist thugs come with helmets, clubs, pepper spray and worse, intent on beating and intimidating anyone who they disagree with.
That causes a backlash. I am not defending running people down, but you can get away with your thuggery with no backlash for only so long, leftists.
It takes two to tango. Those groups came to Charlottesville to fight each other, no doubt about that. Obviously the local politicians and the police chief did not have an effective plan and were not ready to arrest those rioters, no matter what side they were on, once things got violent. That´s really unbelievable because last night the city tried to stop the demonstration and were overruled by a federal judge, so the city and state had to know that there a good prospect that violence would occur.
The grandstanding liberal progressive Democrats and some RINO´s are nitpicking President Trump´s after the fact statement on the incident attempting to put the blame on Trump. While in Chicago every weekend upwards on 25 people are shot in black violence and you never hear a peep out of those politicians.
This is the kind of death the Enemedia was fervently hoping for during the campaign, so they could pin death and violence on Trump as they tried to orchestrate Altamont type situations where "innocent victims" on the Left were murdered by Trumpian barbarians. We all know the Enemedia wanted this, it just came too far after the inauguration for them to score points.
I´m so sick of this arrogant, blustering, stupid excuse for a "journalist". Why is the White House putting up with this leftist gasbag is beyond me. He should´ve been shut down and gotten rid of a long time ago. However there he sits with an audacity that knows no bounds. I did not hear a peep from this person or his pathetic network in giving Obama any blame for the various racial riots that took place on his so-called watch. Jim Acosta and his ilk will continue to reap what they´ve sown and it won´t be pretty.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) today called on House Speaker Paul Ryan (R.-Wisc.) to immediately remove “Confederate statues” from the U.S. Capitol. “If Republicans are serious about rejecting white supremacy, I call upon Speaker Ryan to join Democrats to remove the Confederate statues from the Capitol immediately,” Pelosi said in a statement. “There is no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the men of the Confederacy in the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol or in places of honor across the country,” Pelosi said. Here is the text of her full statement: “The halls of Congress are
The ridiculous campaign by virtually every media outlet, every Democrat and far too many squishy Republicans to label Trump some kind of racist and Nazi sympathizer is beginning to have the stink of an orchestrated smear. The conflagration in Charlottesville is beginning to feel like a set-up, perhaps weeks or months in the planning. Planned by whom? Time may tell. We know that Michael Signer, the mayor of Charlottesville, declared his city to be the "capital of the resistance" just after Trump´s inauguration. We know that Gov. Terry McAuliffe is a corruptocrat, joined at the hip to the Clintons. He
GETTYSBURG, Pa.- Officials with the National Park Service said the Confederate monuments at Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania will not be removed from the battlefield. Katie Lawhon, senior adviser for the park service´s Gettysburg battlefield office, told the Reading Eagle (http://bit.ly/2uTe2rn ) the site-specific memorials are important, and the park service´s job is to historically and objectively tell the stories the monuments commemorate. Her reassurance comes after a heated debate over Confederate monuments spread across the U.S. Three people died amid turmoil in Charlottesville, Virginia, Saturday over the planned removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.
Five terrorists were shot dead by police in the early hours of this morning after they attempted a second attack in a beach resort near Barcelona - hours after an atrocity in the Spanish city killed 13. Seven members of the public including a policeman were hurt in the latest attack in Cambrils, 70 miles south-west of Barcelona, which saw the Jihadis’ car overturn before they were gunned down by armed police. Footage from the scene appears to show bodies wearing suicide belts strewn around the seafront. Bystanders had jumped onto the beach when gunshots rang out at around 1am
Brad Dacus was thousands of miles away in California last weekend when the Charlottesville protest erupted, so he was flabbergasted when CNN labeled his Pacific Justice Institute a “hate group.” “Here are all the active hate groups where you live,” said the CNN wire story headline on Chicago’s WGN-TV website. The article listed the 917 organizations on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s much-disputed “hate map,” which names racist groups like the Aryan Nation alongside mainstream conservative organizations such as the Alliance Defending Freedom and the Family Research Council. Mr. Dacus’ conservative Sacramento-based institute, which specializes in religious-liberty cases, was featured
Democratic candidate for Maryland´s governorship Ben Jealous was arrested on Tuesday outside the White House during an immigration rally. Jealous was leading the rally around the White House when he and 26 others were taken into custody, CBS reports. The rally was in support of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), an immigration program. "His actions today are consistent with his life-long work as a civil rights leader and community organizer, including his efforts to steer passage of the Maryland Dream Act," Jealous spokesman Kevin Harris said. Jealous was the president of the NAACP for five years and was initially
Former Vice President Al Gore said his one piece of advice to President Trump would be to "resign" immediately. Gore made the statement in a video interview published Thursday on LAD Bible, the United Kingdom´s largest entertainment website. He was there to discuss climate change and his new documentary, "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power," which was released this month. The interviewer asked if there was "one piece of advice" for Trump, what would it be? He responded: "Resign." The interview appears to have been recorded before the premiere of Gore´s new film in the U.K. on Aug. 10. Gore´s
More evidence of the emerging No Go Zones investigated by Breitbart London editor Raheem Kassam in a new book has emerged in Birmingham, England, where a message reading ‘NO Whites Allowed After 8 pm’ appeared on the side of a building in the inner-city neighbourhood of Alum Rock. The Birmingham Mail traced the graffiti to the corner of Farndon Road after the image was shared in a Facebook post — since deleted — by a page called Brumz Updates. Local councillor Ali Khan, a Labour Party representative, told the paper that similar messages had been scrawled on stickers and affixed
FOX News reports former IT aide for Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Imran Awan, has been indicted on four counts. In July, Awan was arrested at Dulles airport while trying to flee the United States. (Photos) Per FOX News: Imran Awan, a former IT aide for Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, was indicted Thursday on four counts including bank fraud and making false statements. The indictment also includes his wife Hina Alvi. The grand jury decision in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia comes roughly a month after Awan was arrested at Dulles airport in Virginia trying to board
The Interior Department said Thursday that it is sending tens of millions of dollars in historic preservation grants to help states preserve "our national heritage and history." The announcement comes after President Trump tweeted that he considers the statues of Confederate war heroes taken down recently in Baltimore and other cities an affront to history. Although the agency´s announcement does not highlight the Confederate statues for preservation, nor does it discuss the weekend violence in Charlottesville, Va., that sparked the move to remove the statues, it does point out the need to help communities protect historic landmarks. "These grants highlight the
A report in the New York Times that explored whether President Trump harbors racial animus interviewed several of Trump´s black friends for the story, most of whom said they never saw signs of racism. Only Democratic activist and liberal MSNBC host Al Sharpton said he sees signs of racism in Trump. The story, published Thursday in light of Trump´s comments about the violence in Charlottesville, Va., said, "more than ever, the question is being asked: Is Mr. Trump personally racist?" Among those interviewed was Kara Young, a biracial former girlfriend of Trump´s, who said, "That was not my experience" in
President Donald Trump has evoked strong criticism from politicians and pundits after telling reporters on Tuesday that there were “very fine people on both sides” in Charlottesville. But support for the president’s claim has come from an unlikely source: the “failing” New York Times, which interviewed one of those “very fine” people for an article otherwise critical of Trump, arguing that his remarks have led to a widening split in the Republican Party. The Times reported Wednesday evening: ”Good people can go to Charlottesville,” said Michelle Piercy, a night shift worker at a Wichita, Kan., retirement home, who drove all
Evidence is turning up from, of all places, the Southern Poverty Law Center, as well as Breitbart and others, that this character, Jason Kessler, who organized the suspicious and supposed Alt-Right demonstration in Charlottesville, Va. that blew up in everyone´s face, is a cunning lefty holdover from the Occupy Wall Street movement and a former Barack Obama supporter. I smell Soros money, sabotage, and Democrat dirty tricks here. I´ve been suspicious of the nature of the violence at this supposed Alt-Right demonstration since the news first began breaking. It is no secret that radical elements in the Democrat left have
Former presidential candidate and current Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich may be moving closer to mounting a primary challenge against President Trump in the 2020 election. Sources close to Kasich told Willie Geist of the "Today Show" there is growing a sense of "moral imperative" to run against Trump for the Republican nomination in 2020 following his controversial statements on the deadly protest in Charlottesville, Va. (Tweet) Kasich has long been critical of Trump. On Tuesday, Kasich criticized Trump´s Charlottesville comments, saying "there is no moral equivalency to Nazi sympathizers" following Trump´s tumultuous press conference. Kasich, who lost to Trump
CNN host Wolf Blitzer said Thursday there would be questions if the Barcelona terror attack involving a van crashing into a group of people was a "copycat" of what happened in Charlottesville, Va. At least 13 people were killed and more than 50 were injured in Barcelona on Thursday when men rammed their van into a crowd of pedestrians at Las Ramblas, a popular tourism area in the city in northeastern Spain. The attack came five days after a man with white supremacist group ties was arrested for driving his car into a group of counter-protesters in Charlottesville, killing one
Trump ignited a political firestorm yesterday during an impromptu press conference in which he said there was "blame on both sides" for the tragic events that occurred in Charlottesville over the weekend. Now, the discovery of a craigslist ad posted last Monday, almost a full week before the Charlottesville protests, is raising new questions over whether paid protesters were sourced by a Los Angeles based "public relations firm specializing in innovative events" to serve as agitators in counterprotests. The ad was posted by a company called "Crowds on Demand" and offered $25 per hour to "actors and photographers"
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has weighed in on the weekend´s violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, castigating Donald Trump without naming him. ´We can have no tolerance for an ideology of racial hatred. There are no good neo-nazis,´ McConnell said in a statement. The choice of words, while careful, appeared to push back against Trump´s claim on Tuesday that some ´very fine people´ were among a crowd of white supremacists who rallied in the college town. McConnell´s wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, stood next to Trump on Tuesday as he insisted both sides of the weekend´s clash bore some responsibility for
Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina warned President Trump on Wednesday that his “words are dividing Americans, not healing them” in the wake of the bloody clashes in Virginia that has sparked a national conversation about white supremacists and race. Mr. Graham also vowed that Republicans will “fight back against the idea that the party of Lincoln has a welcome mat out for the David Dukes of the world.” “Through his statements yesterday, President Trump took a step backward by again suggesting there is moral equivalency between the white supremacist neo-Nazis and KKK members who attended the Charlottesville rally and people like
As James Bond’s nemesis Auric Goldfinger famously observed, “Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence. The third time is enemy action.” On Tuesday evening, three prominent Republicans — Senator John McCain, Senator Marco Rubio, and 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney — endorsed the left-wing media’s preferred narrative and embraced the masked thugs of Antifa as heroes. McCain and Romney used almost identical language, bending their knees to the media narrative that only two factions were present in Charlottesville during the awful events of last weekend: white supremacist Nazis and “Americans standing up to defy hate and bigotry.”
In the midst of the maelstrom of breaking news of the past several days, the outlines of a big story affecting the future of the Fox News Channel are beginning to emerge. They involve a major makeover of Fox News´s ailing prime-time schedule and a rising new star, Eboni K. Williams. After the dust settles, Williams, whose current show, The Fox News Specialists, looks as though it´s headed for oblivion after the coming shake-up, may wind up on the fast track to cable news stardom. On Monday, August 14, Matt Drudge let the cat out of the bag, as he occasionally
NEW YORK- They wash their hands of neo-Nazis and wag their fingers at leftists. They denounce a press corps they see as biased and controversies they view as manufactured. But in the frenzied blame game over the deadly violence at a rally of white supremacists, Donald Trump´s loyal base is happy to absolve the president himself. Even as Trump´s zig-zag response to the weekend bloodshed in Charlottesville, Virginia, has brought criticism from some Republican lawmakers, many men and women who helped put him in office remain unmoved by the latest uproar. "He has done nothing to turn me away from
The Presidency: President Trump´s statements regarding the tragic events in Charlottesville have created a firestorm that, even by the unique Trump-era standards, appears unprecedented. Unless Trump can undo the damage, it could cripple his administration. In his presidential memoir, "Decision Points," President George W. Bush wrote about the fallout from 2015´s Hurricane Katrina and his own mishandling of the situation. In particular, he admitted that a photo taken of him flying over New Orleans was a huge mistake. "That photo of me hovering over the damage suggested I was detached from the suffering on the ground. That was not how
Washington — A prominent Republican senator delivered a stinging rebuke Thursday of Donald Trump’s short time in office, declaring he has not shown the stability or competence required for an American president to succeed. Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, also said Trump “recently has not demonstrated that he understands the character of this nation.” (Snip) Trump, he said, needs “to take stock of the role that he plays in our nation and move beyond himself, move way beyond himself, and move to a place where daily he’s waking up thinking about what is best for
He was not supposed to be back until Thursday, but President Trump’s Thursday afternoon may have been too much for Joe Scarborough as he returned to air a day early. The Morning Joe host beamed in to co-anchor his namesake show from what appeared to be a living room in Maine to denounce the Commander-in-Chief after the comments he made during his Trump Tower press conference on Tuesday. ´He has now officially become the president of the white nationalist movement,´ said Scarborough. ´The president has chosen sides, and it is very clear. Not only morally, but also politically.´ Scarborough then added: ´He has chosen
