Trump joins politicians in reaction
to white nationalist rally in Virginia

ABC News, by Michael Edison Hayden

President Trump joined a chorus of figures from across the U.S. political spectrum to speak out against the white nationalist rally that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia today, where clashes between white supremacists and counter-protest groups forced the city to declare a state of emergency. "We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!" Trump tweeted this afternoon. (Tweet) The president´s reaction comes after months of criticism from rights groups that he’s neglected to speak out vociferously enough against a contingent of his

Politics make strange bedfellows. The dRATS spark the blacks and Latinos to march and riot, and now unhinged white supremacists want their chance. BTW, a car just plowed into counterprotesters.

We may never learn that the protest was over the removal of a Robert E Lee statue by what Southerners see as Northern leftists. Unfortunately a handful of far right crazies were drawn to the flame so it was labeled a KKK rally. This narrative has already been written by other Northerners so they might as well forget changing minds. Even Trump condemned the "hate" from those defending the statue. Move on.

The liberal mayor and other assorted liberals kicked off this protest by deciding, months ago, to remove statues, in this particular case that of General Robert E. Lee, that THEY didn´t like, sort of like the Taliban did in the Middle East. They also decided to change the long standing Lee Park to emancipation park. They are now finding out that going against wishes of a lot of people in Charlottesville and the State of Virginia has consequences. Liberals believe EVERYTHING should be their way, now some are getting heads busted.

The news media, especially liberal Television is today trying their worst to blame and tie this to President Trump.Scum obviously supports scum.

A few months ago the liberal community in Charlottesville brought Khizr Kahn, the Muslim that spoke out and tried to defame Donald Trump during the campaign. Charlottesville also declared itself the Capital of Resistance. Lot of folks in that lovely city buying themselves a lot of trouble.

HISTORY THAT SPARKED TODAY´S CHARLOTTESVILLE PROTEST

The City of Charlottesville, Virginia, has decided to remove a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee that has stood in a city park for nearly 100 years
In a three to two vote, the Charlottesville City Council decided to eliminate the equestrian statue memorializing the Confederate hero that was first erected 93 years ago in the city’s Lee park. After the vote, city leaders also vowed to erase Lee’s name from the park, CBS reported.

The final anti-Lee vote was cast by Councilman Bob Fenwick who said afterward, “There is not just one way to honor history. Particularly at the expense of our neighbors.”

The city said it would cost around $300,000 to remove the long-standing memorial to the famed Confederate General.

Both Mayor Mike Signer and Councilor Kathy Galvin said they were very uncomfortable with the high cost of removing the statue.

The meeting was contentious as the pro-Lee and anti-Lee forces clashed. At one point, police even ejected at least four people from the meeting.

Charlottesville Vice Mayor Wes Bellamy pleaded for “understanding.”
“Just because we disagree on this issue doesn’t mean anyone who disagrees with me is my enemy,” he said. “The only way for us to move forward is for us to love each other, understand each other, and that we have to do this together.”

Whitewashing Confederate history is an ongoing effort for cities throughout those areas where civil war battles were waged 150 years ago. Recently a battle was waged in New Orleans to remove all the city’s many civil war monuments.

Actually Trump did not condemn the white nationalists alone but all who engage in hate which would include the protesters, but, of course, the media will not report it that way.

What´s going on in Charlottesville sounds like people wanting to protest the removal of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee´s statue from Lee park.
And since these protesters are being described in every headline as "white nationalists!", "white supremacists!", "alt-right!" and the KKK!! it makes me think they´re probably just mostly regular folks.
I´m guessing lots of paid "protesters" and agitators on hand too. Of course you won´t hear this from the liberal media, they´re already trying to tie this to President Trump.
Charlottesville´s Mayor is already blaming Trump, of course he´s a flaming liberal who´s actions have helped trigger the protest today.

These stories are usually easy enough to figure out without reading much of anything.

The Chinese Communist version of MLK Jr in DC makes me nauseous too, but that POS speaks volumes about what he really stood for.

If the "self-righteous" city council didn´t like the statue of inarguably one of the greatest military leaders the United States has ever known, then they should have spent $300k on erecting a building to PROTECT it from from the elements and allow a place for those who DO revere the great man to meditate on him in peace and quiet.

This has now become "The USA vs. George Soros".... better gather your ´army´ now ´Kapo´ György.

Somehow i just don´t remember all the Democrat politicians rallying against the violent riots in Baltimore, Fergusson, or Berkeley or anywhere else, for that matter when leftist/anarchist riots break out.

Haven´t heard much from them condemning the murder of police officers, either. hmmm

I have seen how the "radicals" form at strategic places during marches or demonstrations IN ORDER TO be in position to instigate the quickest and most dramatic flash of violence. back in the late 60s.

You can be sure that the leftwing is in there agitating. They are ALWAYS agitating.

HOWEVER, anyone who thinks they have the right to harm anyone else because they are aggrieved in some way, that person is a criminal.

Get active. Study. Become candidates for office; run for local office, school committee, there are many ways.

If cooler and more rational heads don´t start to prevail over some very real complaints and riled emotions, our beloved country will fall into the kind of hideous chaos which immediately precedes and then accompanies a nation´s collapse.

And we know that there are people, Americans (not just foreign players and the likes of Soros), who want that to happen.

IMO this is a backlash against the violent leftist antifa crowd, who have been perpetrating violence on conservatives, the GOP, and Trump supporters. And this will not be the last one either. This may be the first skirmish in a rapidly escalating civil war. The people have lost faith in their elected representatives. They have been exposed in their greed, self interest, and corruption.
