‘Freedom of the Press’ Doesn’t
Mean What You Think

American Greatness, by Michael Thau

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 8/12/2017 9:50:49 AM

Progressive propaganda, relying on misdirection, misinterpretation, and outright falsehoods, permeates American life and touches or taints every topic. The corporations that produce mass entertainment and news, the government bureaucracies that shape and fund education, the schools from kindergarten to college, and the tech firms that control the flow of information and ideas, are all subject to a groupthink that, for all intents and purposes, brooks absolutely no dissent from Leftist dogma. The leaders and followers in the narrative-producing industries are mostly true believers themselves. Everything they touch becomes a vehicle for spreading progressive delusions because, essentially, they can do nothing else.

Comments:
Goes on to talk about “perfectly sensible people” who can be heard “expressing totally baseless or outright false progressive views”. As he says, there is so much progressive dogma out there, it is almost impossible to combat every bit of it.

We all have noticed how it infiltrates - either obviously or more subtly - so many so-called “news articles”. The line between straight news and opinion is too often nonexistent.

This is timely and very well explained. We hear dangerous Leftist propaganda every hour and must be trained to recognize it. My children do, and the grandchildren.

Hungary has slashed illegal immigration by over 99 per cent after rolling out a series of powerful border fences in response to the European migrant crisis, possibly providing a lesson as to the potential impact of constructing President Trump’s much-discussed southern wall in the U.S. Speaking on the second anniversary of the government’s move to seal Hungary’s border with Serbia — which is also an external border for the European Union — Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s Chief Security Advisor, György Bakondi, announced that the fences have caused illegal immigration to collapse from 391,000 in 2015, to 18,236 in 2016,

Well, they’re rioting in Missouri again. Three years after riots rendered Ferguson, MO a permanent ghetto when a fraudulent “Hands up, don’t shoot!” narrative unleashed weeks of burning and looting, this past weekend rioters were back at it again in St. Louis, screaming “BLACK LIVES MATTER!” as they stomped through town while smashing and torching. Each month, the press magically has a bunch of stories that center on the same theme. Last month, it was President Trump as inciting violence. This month, it is President Trump is stabbing his supporters in the back.Democratic Party leaders this week said President Trump had agreed to make a deal on illegal aliens. Chuck and Nancy carefully said "excluding the wall," meaning that was off the table. The press interpreted this as the wall was falling. There will be no wall, they reported. And they laughed at Trump supporters and called us fools -- and then the House passed a $1.6 billion appropriation

While promoting her newly released memoir, Hillary Clinton has placed blame on several factors for her loss to Donald Trump last November — from her own mistakes, to Russian interference in the U.S. election, and the late intervention by then-FBI director James Comey. But Clinton has also spoken candidly about how deep-rooted sexism played a hand in her defeat, and about the double standards she faced as the first woman nominated by a major party for president in America’s 240-year history. In an interview with the New York Times published Saturday, Clinton spoke further about how misogyny is used as

ST. The Big Idea: If I had to stock Hillary Clinton’s new memoir in a bookstore, I’d be tempted to place it in a section on self-help or bereavement. “What Happened” was quickly strip-mined for political nuggets after its publication last Tuesday. As I went through it over the weekend, though, what struck me most was how the wounded Democrat coped after her crushing defeat last November. In short, Clinton has read voraciously and eclectically — for escape, for solace and for answers. The collection of works that she cites across 494 pages showcases a top-flight intellect and would make for a compelling graduate school seminar.

People who claim to be shocked that Donald Trump is prepared to make an amnesty deal for the"Dreamers" -- most of whom are Mexicans who entered the USA at around the age of six -- are being more than a tad disingenuous. The president has been hinting as much for over a year to anyone paying attention. In fact, it´s hard to conceive how he could have done otherwise, considering the (excuse the cliché) "optics" of shipping 800,000 young people back to a homeland they may never have seen. The question is what your definition of amnesty is. It´s a
