New direction — Tillerson at
the tiller of the ship of State

Washington Examiner, by Editorial

The State Department has an official mission statement. It reads: ... to shape and sustain a peaceful, prosperous, just, and democratic world and foster conditions for stability and progress for the benefit of the American people and people everywhere. This mission is shared with the USAID, ensuring we have a common path forward in partnership as we invest in the shared security and prosperity that will ultimately better prepare us for the challenges of tomorrow. That may soon change. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is now pushing for a new statement that the department´s mission is to "lead America´s foreign policy through

Too bad we can´t seem to get Tillerson to turn his attention to getting rid of the the Deep State bureaucrats and the Øbama hold overs. The State Dept is absolutely riddled with them through and through and if nothing continues to be done it will facilitate in our undoing. Especially in foreign policy.

President John F. Kennedy created USAID from its predecessor agencies in 1961 by executive order. It can be UNDONE by President Trump. The program was a way to give away America´s hard-earned money to the very people who detest us and want us dead.

Many of tons of supplies sent to nations in need were never distributed to the people but sold on the black market. Like many charitable organizations, greed, corruption and evil take over.
Tillerson is on the right path to return the State Drpartment to it´s original purpose, protect the welfare of our nation...not to shake down governments for a private Foundation to make former President´s family multimillionaires.

I don´t think the editorial is fair to Bush. He didn´t topple Saddam to introduce democracy. He toppled Saddam to prevent a rogue state from acquiring nukes. His mistake, if it was one, was to try to introduce democracy as a lasting replacement to Saddam, on the theory that democracies are better behaved than strongmen.

Clinton’s Former Top Campaign Lawyer
Behind New Hampshire Voter ID Lawsuit
Washington Free Beacon, by Joe Schoffstall     Original Article

The former top campaign lawyer for failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is behind yet another lawsuit against a state´s voter identification laws, the latest in a series of challenges that stem back to 2015. Previous efforts launched against voter ID laws were backed by millions from liberal billionaire George Soros, who has a personal goal of enlarging the electorate by 10 million people by 2018, as documents leaked last year show. The League of Woman Voters and three individuals are suing the state of New Hampshire in an attempt to block a law on voter registration that includes requirements such as

The New York Times reports that special counsel Robert Mueller has obtained an “early draft” of President Trump’s letter stating the reasons for firing James Comey. Times reporters Michael Schmidt and Maggie Haberman inform us that “the circumstances and reasons for the firing are believed to be a significant element of Mr. Mueller’s investigation, which includes whether Mr. Trump obstructed justice by firing Mr. Comey.” The Times would love it if Mueller’s dream team of anti-Trump lawyers were to present an obstruction of justice claim against President Trump. However, the Times’ story undercuts such a claim — inadvertently, I assume. Before explaining

Thousands of Dreamers have used a loophole in federal law to get on a full pathway to citizenship, top congressional Republicans revealed Friday, citing government data withheld by the Obama administration but provided by the Trump administration. The Dreamers were all part of DACA, the legally questionable amnesty program that’s under scrutiny right now as President Trump decides whether to scrap the Obama-era amnesty. The House and Senate Judiciary Committees revealed that more than 45,000 DACA recipients were approved for “advance parole,” which is permission to leave and reenter the U.S. despite not being in permanent legal status here. But under a

“Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts,” read a statement released by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday. Such an unequivocal condemnation of what the Washington Post described as an attack by “black-clad Antifa members” on “peaceful right-wing demonstrators in Berkeley” last weekend probably wasn’t high on the Democratic leader’s agenda. Common decency and civil propriety demanded it, but so, too, did elementary political competence. Much has been said about a surge of racially charged right-wing violence concomitant with Donald Trump’s rising political fortunes,

Hunting and fishing have long been at the cornerstone of America’s outdoor heritage, with countless men and women participating in these cherished activities since our nation’s founding. Since the advent of modern fish and wildlife conservation, sportsmen have played a key role in funding conservation efforts at the national, state, and local levels. The reasoning for this is simple, and can be credited to America’s original conservationist, Theodore Roosevelt, an avid hunter, fisherman and NRA Life Member. President Roosevelt recognized that our natural resources need to be responsibly utilized. To that end, he championed wildlife management based on scientific principles,

Yesterday, I reported on an outlandish effort to shake down a Christian pastor about his views on Islam by the Justice Department in an Obama-era holdover case. Today, a federal court entirely dismissed the Justice Department´s case. United States District Court Judge Norman Moon ruled that the case was moot because the mosque settled with Culpeper County. The mosque obtained a settlement allowing it to pump and haul sewage from the land. The United States had sought to keep the case alive, and to conduct wide ranging and intrusive discovery against third parties such as Pastor Steve Harrelson of the

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been something of a thorn in the side of the EU for quite a while now when it comes to the refugee crisis and questions over terrorism and illegal immigration. While most of the rest of the union has been bending over backwards to keep pace with Angela Merkel’s plans for unlimited immigration and open borders, Hungary has taken a hard line in keeping the illegal migrants out. This has led the EU to recently consider imposing penalties on Hungary for their failure to get with the program. Orban came up with an even

We know that the Democratic Party is in a total state of disarray. They’re struggling to fundraise, they have no leader, they can’t win elections, and they have no message. There are 1,000 fewer Democrats in office than there were in 2008-09. While the media and the Democratic Party fawned and gloated over Barack Obama’s election and re-election, the GOP quietly moved to hallow out the party from the ground up, which they’ve done. Republicans control 69/99 state legislatures and two-thirds of the governorships. Around half the states are under total GOP control, and that’s not including the White House

Last month Mitch McConnell said he planned to bring taxes to the Senate floor under the budget reconciliation procedure. That would bypass the filibuster. The bill could pass by majority vote. No Democrats required. And Republicans are unlikely to experience the defections over taxes that doomed

If you’re one of the 63 million who voted for President Trump, you agonize as you watch the evening news — because you know it’s going to be mostly negative coverage and commentary. The Sunday talk shows are worse — the major network (NBC, CBS, ABC) shows are loaded with anti-Trump messages. They don’t try to hide their prejudice and contempt, and they give air time to most anybody who opposes Mr. Trump, especially establishment Republicans. In short, the liberal media hates Mr. Trump more than they hate Republicans. Because so much of the evening news is political commentary, I once suggested
