Failed presidential candidate and former first lady Hillary Clinton now has some interest in becoming a Methodist preacher, according to The Atlantic. Clinton’s pastor Bill Shillady told The Atlantic that Clinton had expressed interest in preaching when he saw her at a photo shoot for his book Strong for a Moment Like This for which Clinton has written the foreward. The book features daily devotionals he sent her during the 2016 campaign. “Clinton is lifting up an intimate, closely guarded part of herself,” Emma Green writes. “There are no more voters left to lose.
Comments: Usually criminals wait till they´re actually in prison to find religion.
Apparently secularism and moral relativism are quite acceptable in some Methodist circles now. The slide towards Sodom and Gomorraha continue unabated with the likes of teh Hildebeast leading the charge.
Just how many times in the campaign of 2016 was Hillary F-bomb photographed, or otherwise recorded, attending Sunday church services? The answer to this question would be inconvenient to the narrative of her purported interest in the ministry.
Read that Hillary said that she always waned to preach. Isn´t that what she´s been doing for years, preaching?
Only difference seems to be that as a preacher she would be expected to preach AGAINST sin, instead of preaching and urging her followers to embrace abortion, homosexuality, gender transfer, lying, stealing, gluttony, adultery, etc.. Just saying.
She´d be better of becoming a Moscum Imam - but - just a little problem - WOMEN need not apply and are to only be treated as chattel....with that said Hillary can identify as a Mohammad Henry and then get that dream job of a loud mouthed, filthy, lying Imam.
what a bunch of BS. She is like 70 isn;t she, and the school year just started or is starting. So she is going to take 3 years now to go to seminary and would be probably 75 when she graduated to take a associate pastor position in some podunk town? I hear she is also selling some Arkansas land-- remember that scam?
Liberal Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz believes liberals have a duty to call out bigotry from the far left just as the president did for the alt-right. "There’s a lot of bigotry on both sides. I don´t want to make moral equivalence," Dershowitz told radio host John Catsimatidis when asked about the violence in Charlottesville that has sparked a national dialogue about race and Confederate statues. "But having said that, that doesn´t give a pass to the people on the hard left, who are themselves engaged in violence and also some bigotry of their own."
I´ve written about this issue a few times now, but the Left´s spin about Democrats´ terrible, deteriorating healthcare law -- which Republicans have failed to replace, in spite of endless promises -- is misleading and not credible. As the story now goes, the reason why Obamacare premiums are soaring by double digits across most of the nation is that Trump-caused "uncertainty" is spooking the market. Let´s be clear: There is some truth to that analysis, which some insurers have cited as a factor behind their rate hikes.
Steve Bannon is saying that the real Trump administration, of populist nationalism, is over. And I suppose it is, given that Bannon is no longer on the inside bashing heads. Bannon said, as he walked out the door, that he commends the Democrats for starting a race war, because economic nationalism will beat a race war every time. Bannon’s remarks, made to the NeverTrumpers at Weekly Standard, reminded me why Trump won the Republican nomination and the general election in 2016.
Recent news makes it clear that not all that needs to be said is being said. Most reports, reports rife with sly innuendo, fail to understand or admit what is really happening. I’d like to rectify that...Newflash #1: History sucks. It’s merely a record of how screwed up mankind is, was, and, I’m afraid, will be in the foreseeable future. It’s a list of wars and rumors of wars, of pestilence and drought and hunger. In fact, other than the First Advent, the founding of this country may well be the only bright spot in human history.
There’s no explanation needed. You already know that Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has gone off the deep end on a consistent basis, whether it is peddling conspiracy theories about Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s (R-UT) resignation from Congress, or pushing for Donald Trump’s impeachment, she’s a politician who gives zero you know whats (I can’t use the word but it begins with “F”) when it comes to achieving her goals.
Last week House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi demanded Speaker Paul Ryan remove all confederate statues from the U.S. Capitol. In a statement, Pelosi said the statues have "always been reprehensible" and insisted they be taken down, despite the Capitol acting as a museum for all kinds of American history. “The halls of Congress are the very heart of our democracy. The statues in the Capitol should embody our highest ideals as Americans, expressing who we are and who we aspire to be as a nation," Pelosi said. “The Confederate statues in the halls of Congress have always been reprehensible.
NBA legend Charles Barkley has never shied away from giving his unvarnished opinion on the issues, whether sports-related or not. He spoke to sports journalist Rick Karle this week about a couple of political issues, including whether confederate statues should be removed. His response is a must-watch. [Snip] Barkley said: "I´m not gonna waste my time thinking about these confederate statues. That´s wasted energy. You know what I´m gonna do? I´m gonna keep doing great things."
President Trump came out last Saturday and decried racism, violence and bigotry on all sides in the wake of the violence of Charlottesville. Somehow, that was bad. Reporters, including those at my hometown paper, the Springfield, Ill. State Journal-Register, act as though [they] believe that the violent, extreme far left group “Antifa" must never be mentioned at all. That´s because they wouldn´t want the public to learn who they are. Then on Monday, Trump specifically said that the KKK and Neo-Nazis were terrible, and that still wasn’t good enough for a lot of the reporters [...]
Fighting Nazis is a good thing, but fighting Nazis doesn´t necessarily make you or your cause good. By my lights this is simply an obvious fact. The greatest Nazi-killer of the 20th century was Josef Stalin. He also killed millions of his own people and terrorized, oppressed, enslaved or brutalized tens of millions more. The fact that he killed Nazis during WWII (out of self-preservation, not principle) doesn´t dilute his evil one bit. This should settle the issue as far as I´m concerned. Nazism was evil. Soviet communism was evil.
The more leftists insist we aren´t allowed to talk about left-wing political violence, the more I´m inclined to circle back to the subject. As a companion story to today´s item about a conservative student getting roughed up by Antifa thugs when he showed up in solidarity at an anti-Alt-Right rally, here is CNN anchor Jake Tapper refusing to look away from the hard left´s pattern of targeting journalists -- developments that you´d think the entire press would be all over.
Apparently, as long as violent leftists label their victims “fascists,” they are free to set fires, smash windows and beat civilians bloody. No police officer will stop them. They have carte blanche to physically assault anyone they disapprove of, including Charles Murray, Heather Mac Donald, Ben Shapiro, me and Milo Yiannopoulos, as well as anyone who wanted to hear us speak. Even far-left liberals like Evergreen State professor Bret Weinstein will be stripped of police protection solely because the mob called him a “racist.”
For years, the media and the Democrats made the claim that the GOP is in a state of civil war. The Tea Party wing vs. the establishment is going to eat the party alive etc., well, that turned out to be overblown. Yes, those divisions remain, at times—they’ve led to nasty policy fights. But in the end—the GOP has been able to win back Congress and the presidency. They’ve dominated the state and local power bases as well. In all, 69/99 state legislatures are under GOP control, as are two-thirds of all the governorships.
Two members of the Kennedy family were arrested for disorderly conduct near the family’s famed compound on Cape Cod, according to police. Max Kennedy, the 52-year-old son of Robert F. Kennedy, was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and a noise violation around 1 a.m. Sunday morning after reports of loud partying, Barnstable Police told the Boston Herald. His daughter Caroline, a 22-year-old California resident, was also arrested at a home a short walk from the main Kennedy compound. (Snip) The arrests come after a brush with the law for another of RFK’s grandchildren, Conor Kennedy, who
In her most detailed public comments about what happened during the second presidential debate, Hillary Clinton said her “skin crawled” as Donald Trump loomed behind her on the stage in St. Louis in October. The comments are included in her new book, “What Happened,” which she called an attempt to “pull back the curtain” on her losing bid for the presidency. Some of the moments during the campaign, she said, “baffled” her. The book comes out Sept. 12, but audio excerpts, read by Clinton herself, were played on MSNBC on Wednesday morning. In the recording, Clinton noted that she wrote
Black Lives Matter activist Chanelle Helm released a list of “requests” to white people in the wake of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, this month. Helm, the so-called “cofounder and core organizer of Black Lives Matter Louisville,” explained in an article published at Leoweekly.com the things she says need to “change.” “White people, if you don’t have any descendants, will your property to a black or brown family. Preferably one that lives in generational poverty,” Helm writes in an article titled “White people, here are 10 requests from a Black Lives Matter leader.” White people are asked, “Give up the
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are among a set of White House aides pushing President Trump to allow illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to stay, in an effort to get Democrats to fund the president´s border wall. McClatchy reported that the group of White House officials have suggested using so-called ´Dreamers´ as a bargaining chip, in order to check off some of the president´s campaign promises on immigration, including the wall, additional detention facilities, an E-verify system for employers and cuts to legal immigration. However, such a move would break another campaign promise, as candidate Donald Trump had pledged
I’ve been on the Barron Trump train from the start, but it’s about time the president’s son starts dressing the part. Barron is the youngest son of Donald Trump and the only child the president shares with Melania Trump. Time and time again Barron has proved that he’s just a normal 11-year-old kid, despite the fact that his dad is the President of the United States and he lives in the White House. One thing that isn’t normal though is the way he dresses when he joins his parents for a public appearance. Barron was returning to the White House from New
Thanks to Monday´s solar eclipse, disastrous traffic jams have been taking over the country these last few days. And as folks leave the first coast-to-coast solar eclipse since 1918, the U.S. Department of Transportation estimated that nearly two-thirds of the nation´s resident live withing a day´s drive of the path of totality. And with Oregon being the first to see the eclipse, it and neighboring state Washington are experiencing the worst bouts of the traffic jams. ´This is the biggest transportation event that has ever hit Oregon,´ Dave Thompson, a spokesman for the Oregon Department of Transportation told AP. Oregon
As the face of CNN, Anderson Cooper makes a very good living as wealthy, privileged white man casting judgments of affiliation upon his political enemies. This includes taking a handful of idiotic white supremacists and declaring they represent millions of Republicans/conservatives, pro-America, Trump supporters, etc. And yet Mr. Cooper himself has a much closer affiliation to slavery than he likely wants his leftist viewers to know. As a descendant of the Vanderbilt family, one of the wealthiest “old money” families in American history, Cooper is a direct descendant of big time slave owners. Cooper’s great-great grandfather, Cornelius Vanderbilt, owned several plantations,
The eclipse that occurred over Chicago led thousands to the beaches and streets, where they gasped and cried out as the sun partially disappeared. For WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling, it was an especially awe-inspiring event. The famed meteorologist hugged and high-fived people around him and wept as the eclipse occurred Monday afternoon. "Oh, my word," Skilling said. "Wow. This is amazing. What do you think of this, this?" At another point, he told viewers, "I´ll get my act together, guys." His voice cracking, Skilling apologized for his tears. Skilling´s heartfelt reaction earned him praise from fans:
President Trump’s “America First” base was the biggest loser of Trump’s speech on Afghanistan Monday night, and many quickly expressed their disappointment at the business-as-usual address from the president who had once promised to limit American intervention abroad and focus on nation-building at home. Trump’s speech, in which he pledged to increase the number of troops in the 16-year-war, was the first since the departure of Chief Strategist Steve Bannon and confirmed the fears of many on the right that without a strong nationalist voice in the West Wing, the President would revert to the same old fare that Americans had
Students at Howard University, a top-rated historically black college in Washington D.C., took to social media to express their anger over a group of white high school girls wearing pro-Trump clothing who visited the campus on Saturday. Some tweets referring to their visit also suggested the white high school girls should be beaten up. One of the high school guests, in a social media post of her own, said they were simply visiting the school’s cafeteria to get food as part of a larger tour of the nation’s capital, and faced a barrage of insults and aggressive acts, including having
ROCKLIN, Calif. — The Rocklin Academy school board is facing tough questions from parents concerned over a controversial incident involving transgender discussions inside a kindergarten class, CBS Sacramento reports. "These parents feel betrayed by the school district that they were not notified," said Karen England with the Capitol Resource Institute. (Snip) "The kindergartners came home very confused, about whether or not you can pick your gender, whether or not they really were a boy or a girl," said England. Parents say besides the books, the student at some point during class also changed clothes and was revealed as her true
Washington - Democrats have a warning for Donald Trump’s former chief strategist Steve Bannon: Don’t use your position at Breitbart to share classified and sensitive information you collected while at the White House. "Steve Bannon has an ongoing obligation to safeguard our nation’s secrets, and he does not gain some kind of extra Constitutional protection just because he is now returning to a position in the media,” said Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., the senior Democrat on the House Oversight Committee. Cummings said lawmakers closely watch people in such positions after they leave high level security positions.
