Judge Nap on Manafort Raid:
´It Tells Me There´s a There There´

Fox News, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 8/9/2017 3:07:27 PM

Judge Andrew Napolitano said the FBI´s raid on the home of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is a significant development. The raid occurred July 26 in Virginia and was confirmed to Fox News today by a spokesman for Manafort. (Snip) Agents hauled away documents and other materials. Napolitano said on "Outnumbered" that to obtain the search warrant, agents would have had to persuade a judge that there was "probable cause of crime in the place to be searched." Napolitano said the raid indicates the FBI did not trust that Manafort would preserve the materials they intended to find. "That is very damning

Comments:
Sometimes I wonder about Napolitano. His statements are really reckless and inappropriate. He should well know that Mueller is on a witch hunt against Trump. Just because they searched his home does not in fact show that Manafort committed a ´financial misdeed´ as indicated by Napolitano. He hasn´t seen the warrant and cannot accurately speak to it. He should also know that it is not at all difficult to get a judge to sign off on a search warrant, most especially if they are a Democrat.

I wonder how many terrorist houses the FBI raids. They really are fastidious about raiding those, but political opponents are open season.

Will it have anything to do with collusion? I doubt it. They want Manafort to flip to a prosecution witness.

Anyone in a large business that included international deals, if investigated by 14 litigators who have the enormous power of federal agencies at their disposal, could be found guilty and indicted for something. What we are witnessing is a terrible abuse of power. And Mr. Mueller who lives in the DC bubble probably doesn´t realize that tens of millions of Americans are furious about this politically motivated witch hunt.

Does Mueller know that tens of millions of patriots will not stand for a Venezuela style Deep State coup? He could well be on the wrong side of history and the law.

A grand jury of the people-free from influence by prosecutors with dirty minds may just bring this cabal of DC filth to an end.

A prosecutor can get some judge to okay a warrant without much beyond suspicion of a crime. Judge Nap exposes his bias when he suggests a warrant suggests a crime HAS been committed.

Oh yeah, it´s the next "sure thing". How many have there been now, 134? Each time, either it fizzles out or actually rebounds embarrassingly against the investigators.

You have to ask yourself if Manafort is dumb enough to leave anything lying around his house. He has had plenty of time to clean up. Do I think there is any actionable issues? Nope. Mueller is looking for something embarrassing or something that can be used to say someone "lied" about something under oath.

What do you bet that some little tidbit of Trump campaign conversation makes its way into a leak soon, something like Trump saying "John McCain is a real fool.". Mueller can´t make use of it but the dems can.

If memory serves Manafort worked for Yanukovych in Ukraine, which by Democrat lights, means Manafort worked for the Russians in the Ukraine. Obama was engaged in all sorts of dirty tricks in Ukraine and got Yanukovych chased out of the country. Surrounded the presidential residence and Yanukovych had to run for his life.

This is what the Democrats hope for Trump. They are following the same game plain they employed in Ukraine.

Napolitano is a joke. Nobody listens to him.

The good judge has no idea what there might have been -- or not have been -- in Mr. Manafort´s home. A pre-dawn, no-knock warrant seems excessive for a man who has consistently cooperated with law enforcement. What did they think Mr. Manafort would have done if agents had simply knocked on his door at 70? Burn documents in his fireplace, in August?

Destroying evidence on computers frequently takes more than a minute or so -- and such evidence can frequently be retrieved by computer specialists.

And, this raid was conducted nearly 2 weeks ago? Someone wanted this leaked to frighten someone else that something similar may happen too. Or, tip someone that a raid may be coming.

Manafort may have issues, but doubt any of it will be a "Russian collusion" issue.

There are a lot of people who suspect that they are being targeted by the Special Prosecutor. The FBI did a pre dawn warrant search at one of the prime target´s residence. The reality is that the FBI can only do that once and expect to find incriminating evidence. As unless the remaining folks who suspect they are being targeted are all morons, there will be no incriminating evidence to be found at any of their residences in the future.

Alas, this raises the question of whether Comey--who never convened a grand jury for Hillary, and unilaterally decided not to prosecute her--nevertheless would have had the cajones to do differently to Trump. Comey was a government lifer. Lifer´s are risk averse. Mueller is a hired gun. I have thought from the beginning that had Comey stayed, this would have ended well before now.

John McCain?Verified account @SenJohnMcCain I cannot in good conscience vote for Graham-Cassidy. A bill impacting so many lives deserves a bipartisan approach. The news brought a sudden turnaround in managed-care stocks, though much of that was short-lived. Shares of Centene, whose fortunes are more tied to the ObamaCare exchanges and Medicaid

The Senate’s top Democrat offered praise for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) after he said he would oppose the latest ObamaCare repeal bill, which narrows the chance that Republicans can get the legislation to President Trump’s desk. “John McCain shows the same courage in Congress that he showed when he was a naval aviator,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said an hour after McCain’s statement. “I have assured Senator McCain that as soon as repeal is off the table, we Democrats are intent on resuming the bipartisan process.” McCain is the second Republican, after Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), to announce

If NFL fans continue to turn away from football, the TV networks could lose as much as $200 million in earnings, according to a new report. After ratings for Week Two crashed, adding to the angst already felt by a poor showing in Week 1, industry insiders and analysts are sounding the alarm. A new report claims that CBS, ESPN, Fox and NBC could take a $200 million hit to their estimated $2.5 billion in NFL advertising earnings if fans continue to turn off the TV, the The Hollywood Reporter noted recently. The worries over earnings are not allayed by

A new fifth grade teacher at Canopy Oaks Elementary is asking students to use gender-neutral pronouns in the classroom. Math and science teacher Chloe Bressack sent the request home in a letter to parents headlined "About Mx. Bressack." “... my pronouns are ´they, them, their´ instead of ´he, his, she, hers.´ I know it takes some practice for it to feel natural,” the letter reads, “but students catch on pretty quickly.” The letter also asks that students use “Mx.," (pronounced ´Mix´) when addressing the teacher rather than Mr. or Ms. The note alarmed some parents. ABC has greenlit a new sitcom tentatively titled "Sanctuary Family" about an undocumented family living in the U.S. The network says the show will follow the pandemonium that unfolds when a married couple allows their undocumented nanny and her family to live with them. The guests put a strain on the marriage of the host family but they eventually learn that “the differences both families have aren’t as significant as their similarities,” according to the description provided by ABC. Undocumented immigrants are foreign-born people who don’t have a legal right to be or remain in the United States and the

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel used his opening monologue Thursday to once again lambast supporters of the Graham-Cassidy health care bill -- and at one point called a Republican senator from Louisiana an "inbred." The host of ABC´s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” has emerged as a strong celebrity advocate for universal health care since his infant son had to undergo open-heart surgery in April. Kimmel made an announcement about his son during a memorable monologue at the time and has taken up the cause ever since. Part of his goal is for every child in the U.S. to have the same access to

Michelle Obama said in a speech Thursday that the White House is currently being led by fear, comparing President Trump´s administration with her husband and former President Obama´s administration. (Snip) “It isn’t just us first,” she said, referring to Trump´s "America first" policies. “We live in a big country and a big world," she said. "You can’t just want to help someone in a hurricane and not make sure they can go to the doctor when they’re sick.” Trump reiterated his "America first" doctrine in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly this week, emphasizing that America would put

The San Francisco 49ers Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Rams kicked off in front of a nearly empty stadium. Los Angeles Times reporter Lindsey Thiry tweeted a photo at the time of kickoff, which showed thousands of open seats. In fact, most sections in the photo have more empty seats than fans. (Tweet/Photo/Video) ESPN’s Darren Rovell reported that 63,500 tickets had been sold for the game, but of course, simply selling a ticket doesn’t mean the buyer will actually show up to the game. It’s hard to believe there are more than 30,000 people in the stadium, judging

Democratic Rep. John Lewis said Thursday he sometimes feels like “taking a bullwhip” to people in order to make them care about civil rights. “It doesn’t matter whether they’re black, or white, Latino, Asian-American or Native American. When you see something that’s not right, not fair, not just, you have an obligation to do something, to say something. They’re just too darn quiet. I really wanna use some other words sometimes,” Lewis told the audience of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Town Hall on Civil Rights in Washington, D.C. “I believe in the philosophy and the discipline of nonviolence, but sometimes

A team of four current and former NFL players is lobbying commissioner Roger Goodell to engage the league in fighting for the cause of social justice, even asking him to formally designate November as activism awareness month. Current players Michael Bennett (Seattle Seahawks), Torrey Smith (Philadelphia Eagles), and Malcolm Jenkins (Philadelphia Eagles), along with former player Anquan Boldin, sent Goodell and another executive a 2,800-word memorandum in August requesting the league invest significant resources in the cause. The memo, available in full here, is specific and thoughtful, but its requests would almost certainly prove divisive among fans, many of whom are
