Presidential access: Twitter users blocked
by Donald Trump call on judge to
restore their right to tweet him

Daily Mail [UK], by Dave Burke

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 8/9/2017 5:54:10 AM

A police officer, a songwriter and a surgeon who were blocked by on Twitter by Donald Trump are among a group suing the President. A lawsuit has been filed by seven Twitter users who have fallen foul of the commander-in-chief, plus the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University. It has accused Trump of trying to ´suppress dissent´ after the seven criticized him on the social network. Legal papers state: ´In an effort to suppress dissent in this forum, Defendants have excluded—“blocked”—Twitter users who have criticized the President or his policies. ´This practice is unconstitutional, and this suit seeks to end it.´

.Well snowflakes, take to Twitter, and shout all you want, but on your own feed! The rest of us don´t want to hear you.

The first Amendment guarantees you the right to speech, but we don´t have to listen! If your little lawsuit works, then every place that accepts comments can no longer block anyone. Are you sure you thought this one through???

I was under the impression that account owner on FaceChat, SnapBook, etc decided who they wanted to socialize with, not the sender/poster. What idiot attorney (I know, I repeat myself) would even take such a case?

As has been pointed out above, the First Amendment guarantees your right to speak your mind, but it does not guarantee that there will be an audience.

Sorry about the blank.

Trump´s Twitter feed had become unreadable because it was instantly and ferociously attacked by the most vile and hateful posts. There were so many you could hardly ever find someone in agreement with Trump so I assume it was a spamming operation by those leftists that seem to have the time and money for such things.

You have the right to free speech, but you don´t have the right to force people to listen who don´t want to hear you. These whiney children are not blocked from Twitter, they are blocked from President Trumps Twitter feed. They can start their own and criticize until they are blue in the face. I am sure there are a few like minded people out there that actually want to hear what they have to say, but President Trump does not have to provide them a platform where they have access to his millions of followers.

A powerful 3.4 magnitude earthquake has rocked North Korea, sparking fears the nuclear-obsessed nation may have conducted a missile test. The tremor was detected in the Kilju area in the North Hamgyong province hours after Donald Trump mocked ´madman´ Kim Jong-un and the dictator called the US President a ´rabid dog´. The earthquake was felt at 3.30am ET (8.30am GMT) at a depth of zero miles, with China´s official Xinhua News Agency saying it was a ´suspected explosion´. A tremor earlier this month was caused by Kim´s sixth nuclear test so it´s no surprise there are fears this is another.

For Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Iran was mostly on his mind.
