Republican Party should have
stood up to Trump’s ‘birther’
movement, Sen. Jeff Flake says

New York Daily News, by Jason Silverstein

Original Article

The Republican Party should have cut off Donald Trump’s “birther” movement in its infancy, an anti-Trump Republican senator said Sunday. Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona said he regrets that his fellow Republicans kept quiet years ago as Trump rallied his phony conspiracy theory that former President Barack Obama wasn’t born in the United States. “I wish that we, as a party, would have stood up...when the birtherism thing was going along,” Flake said on NBC News´ “Meet the Press.” “That was particularly ugly.” Flake also condemned his party for supporting Trump’s “lock her up” campaign rally chants about Hillary Clinton,

Comments:
Arizona has its McCain and Flake, Tennessee has its Alexander and Corker; odious pairs of pigs with an (R) who are elected time and again. Does Jeff Flake remember that it was Hillary! who started the birther movement, and John "Loser" McCain who proudly denied the talk and told America that we had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency?

Strange that Obamas college ID said " foreign" student. He never released any college records, he had someone else´s SS number. His own grandmother was said to say he was born over there. And why did it take so long to produce the BC?

The democrats in the republican fold continue to reveal themselves time and time again. Too bad the opposite cannot be said.

Where do suppose they get the idea that we luv being stabbed in the back? Hmm... maybe getting re-elected time and again affirms it?

Two points.

A. Why don´t the Republicans stand up
to the present "Russian Collusion" meme?
If they had any integrity it should
manifest itself now. Yeah, that´s what
I thought.

B. There was a basis for the birther
movement. Russian collusion? Not so much.

I want to know how they know Obama was born in the USA.
All of the birth records were definitely false and poor excuses for phony documents.
I personally think Obama is a legitimate citizen because his father was not the Kenyan.
His real father was Frank Marshal Davis, the black pornographer that took the nude photos of Obamas mother.
She was a total slut and went out of her way to have sex with black men when it was considered taboo.
Sorry if that sounds racially biased, but that was the morals of the day back then.

Two points:

a) Trump wasn´t really affiliated with the GOP at the time.

b) Where was Flake himself on this question? Did he ever say anything on his own? He throws stones and lives in a glass house.

In any case, there are far too many hypocrisies in Flake´s comments and far to many falsehoods in Silvertein´s various characterizations to cover them all.

I sincerely hope that someone will finally expose the "long form BC" question once and for all. The fraud that was released was nothing more than Obama trolling. Sheriff Joe had experts prove it was bogus. Trump needs to use his power to access the real item in HI, or prove that none exists.

And the "lock her up" chant was not to lock up a political opponent, but to lock up a criminal.

I would like to see Flake locked up, myself.

My suggestion to McConnell give your senators a job, being on TV 24/7 is very boring for us to watch.

The Big Idea: If I had to stock Hillary Clinton’s new memoir in a bookstore, I’d be tempted to place it in a section on self-help or bereavement. “What Happened” was quickly strip-mined for political nuggets after its publication last Tuesday. As I went through it over the weekend, though, what struck me most was how the wounded Democrat coped after her crushing defeat last November. In short, Clinton has read voraciously and eclectically — for escape, for solace and for answers. The collection of works that she cites across 494 pages showcases a top-flight intellect and would make for a compelling graduate school seminar.
