Democrats Don’t Actually Believe
in Democracy

Townhall, by Kurt Schlichter

Original Article

Posted By:steveW, 8/3/2017 4:10:51 AM

Yeah, we’re a republic, but we also have democratic rules, norms, and traditions. Too bad the Democratic Party doesn’t believe in them. Case in point – their bizarre embrace of illegal aliens. Democrats seem to think that foreigners who violate our laws have a greater right to determine what will be America´s laws than actual Americans. After all, that´s their argument when they whine because some illegal is getting shipped back to his Third World hellhole-of-origin. They seem to think that just because some uninvited, unwanted, unlegal trespasser (we’re not supposed to call them “illegal,” right?) has been violating our laws

Comments:
Schlichter groks what "the Democrat" actually is, and it´s sure as hell not someone who "cares" about "helping people" - it´s the would-be dictator lurking within every fiber of every Leftist bone. If only the GOP could grasp this simple truth...

OP – The GOPe doesn’t need to grasp this truth, they are that truth masquerading (poorly) has an opposition party. The other truth is that it’s President Trump against the Uniparty until the 2018 midterms and the Deplorables send in the cavalry of MAGA representatives.

Our self-styled and self-proclaimed elites are safely ensconced in their ivory towers, certain that the vulgarian and those people are only a momentary setback. “No one has ever survived a Deep State operation of personal destruction (PD), and Donaaald will not either. Sure, Hillary! dropped the ball – who would have thought she wasn’t listening to Bill? – but that can be reversed by strategically leaking the PD operation we had planned for his expected loss. He may be holding out longer than any other nut, but he’ll crack. They all do. We just need to ramp it up until the plebes are so tired of the chaos they beg for Trump to resign. It will be a piece of cake once we retake the House and Senate in 2018. McConnell and Ryan will see to that by running squishy and weak candidates against our strong contenders selling “A Better Way.” We can’t lose.”

MAGA – They won’t know what hit ‘em.

The democRAT party is full of radicals, anarchists, card-carrying Communists, Maoists and other assorted disingenuous, greedy malcontents only too happy to take advantage of the dumbed-down-trodden people who either cannot face reality or are just too indoctrinated to understand it. DemocRATs have a long, loooong history of selling Hope and Change snake-oil on every election cycle to poor people living in run down, burned out, poverty-stricken, rat-infested ghettos all over the country and the fact that democRATs have been runing these plantations for well over half a century never sinks in because these “slaves” are wholly dependent on the government hand-outs put in place by a democRAT who said “I´ll have those ni**ers voting democRAT for 200 years!”. It is democRAT´s new Communism of unnecessary, over-reaching, over-bearing, out-of-control, dictatorial “regulation” where they continue trying to grab for more and more power while ginned-up, insane pretzel-logic of the Left´s mythical, Marxist Utopia should tell us everything we need to know about democRATs! For these people Making America Great Again isn´t even in the room let alone on their plate!

I´d pay particular attention to the last few paragraphs. Thanks largely to the Obama/Holder/Low-Renta Lynch reign of terror, we are no longer a nation of laws. The "consent of the governed" is teetering on the edge. It won´t take much.

Trump Is Reinventing What It Means

For most of our lifetimes being a politician meant being a self-centered hypocritical bore who carefully obfuscates his or her true opinions lest they offend potential voters and financial supporters or... a corrupt self-centered hypocritical bore who carefully obfuscates his or her opinions lest they offend potential voters or financial supporters. Trump is reinventing that and we -- whether we agree with his (sometimes changing) views or not -- owe him big (or bigly) for this. At least now we´re awake and more of us are paying attention. President Trump gave his first official speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday morning, and was immediately berated by the New York Times (Trump´s "characteristically confrontational message") and the Washington Post ("Trump´s menacing United Nations speech, annotated"). Sen. Dianne Feinstein lambasted him for words that "greatly escalated the danger" from Iran and North Korea. And the foreign minister of Venezuela´s socialist dictatorship, Jorge Arreaza -- apparently trying to formulate some sort of supreme insult -- compared Trump in 2017 to President Ronald Reagan in 1982. With that kind of reaction, you might just start to suspect that Trump

President Trump’s total vindication over his wiretap claim reminds me of one of the most important things I have discovered over the past couple of years: If the national media loses its ever-loving mind and launches a campaign to brand Trump a liar, that can mean only one thing — that Trump is not only telling the truth, he is telling a Big Truth, an inconvenient truth, a truth the MSM does not want the American people to hear. Almost exactly two years ago this sick pattern developed over then-candidate Trump’s assertion that he had seen “thousands” of American Muslims celebrate

Last week, CNN revealed (and excused) one phase of the Obama spying operation on Trump. After lying about it on MSNBC, Susan Rice admitted unmasking the identities of Trump officials to Congress. Rice was unmasking the names of Trump officials a month before leaving office. The targets may have included her own successor, General Flynn, who was forced out of office using leaked surveillance. While Rice’s targets weren’t named, the CNN story listed a meeting with Flynn, Bannon and Kushner. Bannon was Trump’s former campaign chief executive and a senior adviser. Kushner is a senior adviser. Those are exactly the

That’s followed by the sounds of the terrorists assaulting a passenger. “Please don’t hurt me,” he pleads. “Oh God.” As the passengers rush the cabin, a Muslim terrorist proclaims, “In the name of Allah.” As New York firefighters struggle up the South Tower with 100 pounds of equipment on their backs trying to save lives until the very last moment, the Flight 93 passengers push toward the cockpit. It was early, very early in Los Angeles. Dawn was just beginning -- the horizon was a pure clear blue, the sky still dark enough that the constellations could be seen. The freeways were full, but the traffic was flowing well, and people on the road were congratulating themselves for their early start, or grateful their night shift was over and thinking about home and bed. Most people, though, were still asleep. Hardly anyone was worrying about North Korea -- China and Russia had finally come around on greater sanctions, and the common opinion was that a military coup was coming

There´s almost no point in going through all the analogies to despotic regimes. Writers from George Orwell to Arthur Koestler have already done it for us. But those analogies come immediately to mind following two revelations regarding our Federal Bureau of Investigation that surfaced this week. His pre-dawn raid was meant to intimidate Manafort, not just to collect evidence. Robert Mueller’s sprawling special-counsel investigation is playing hardball. It was not enough to get a search warrant to ransack the Virginia home of Paul Manafort, even as the former Trump campaign chairman was cooperating with congressional investigators. Mueller’s bad-asses persuaded a judge to give them permission to pick the door lock. That way, they could break into the premises in the wee hours, while Manafort and his wife were in bed sleeping. They proceeded to secure the premises — of a man they are reportedly investigating for tax and financial crimes, not gang murders and Mafia hits — by drawing their guns on the stunned couple, apparently to check their pajamas for weapons. Mueller’s probe more resembles an empire, with 17 prosecutors retained on the public dime. So . . .
