President Donald Trump is having his first face-to-face meeting with Attorney General Jeff Sessions since he began a humiliating public campaign against his cabinet secretary. The president is hosting his entire Cabinet at the White House this morning. Trump and Sessions have been speaking about one another but not to one another throughout an unusual disagreement over the law enforcement official´s decision to recuse himself months ago from the Justice Department´s investigations involving the 2016 election. Instead of firing his attorney general, Trump has repeatedly berated him on Twitter. Now, Trump´s said to be considering a shakeup that would keep Sessions, who sat across

Yes #1: Keep Sessions in place for a number of good reasons, fire Rosenstein for just as many good reasons, and make a recess appointment of a new Deputy AG to fire Mueller.

Let the Senators and the enemedia howl. They will do nothing that they are not already hell-bent on doing anyway.

Giuliani or Pirro would make excellent temporary recess choices.

President Trump is battling to prevent another key aide quitting in what would be a major blow to his administration´s credibility. Gary Cohn, Trump´s chief economic adviser, is said to be ´deeply dismayed´ by the president´s response to the white nationalist rallies in Virginia. Sources have claimed Cohn, who is Jewish, is ´deeply upset´ and ´disgusted´ by Trump´s defense of white nationalists, many of whom were wearing ´Make America Great Again´ baseball caps. Friends have now urged Mr Cohn to stand down from White House business advisory councils. He was said to have reached a ´real inflection point´ according to Vanity Fair, citing

Washington - Sen. Tim Scott says President Donald Trump can regain his moral authority on the issue of race by spending time with people who have lived through the nation's difficult racial past. The South Carolina Republican said last week that Trump's moral authority had become comprised after the president made comments that appeared to equate neo-Nazis and white supremacists with those who came out to oppose them in Charlottesville, Virginia. Scott says what's important at this point is not what Trump says next, but what he does. Scott says that without a personal connection to the pain that racism has caused,

Federal authorities are investigating whether sensitive data was stolen from congressional offices by several Pakistani-American tech staffers and sold to Pakistani or Russian intelligence, knowledgeable sources say. What started out 16 months ago as a scandal involving the alleged theft of computer equipment from Congress has turned into a national-security investigation involving FBI surveillance of the suspects. Investigators now suspect that sensitive US government data — possibly including classified information — could have been compromised and may have been sold to hostile foreign governments that could use it to blackmail members of Congress or even put their lives at risk.

Thousands of anti-fascist protesters are marching through the streets of Boston in protest of right-wing activists hosting a ´free speech´ rally on Saturday. Only a handful of attendees could be spotted against the swarm of the estimated 15,000 counter-protesters who chanted loudly as they made their way towards Boston Common. Organizers of the rally had attempted to distance themselves from the neo-Nazis, white supremacists and others who fomented violence in Charlottesville last week. The city mayor had pleaded for counter-protesters to stay away, saying their presence would draw more attention to the far-right activists and could result in violence.
