The Forgotten History of Britain´s
White Slaves in America

American Thinker, by Janet Levy

Slavery in America, typically associated with blacks from Africa, was an enterprise that began with the shipping of more than 300,000 white Britons to the colonies. This little known history is fascinatingly recounted in White Cargo (New York University Press, 2007). Drawing on letters, diaries, ship manifests, court documents, and government archives, authors Don Jordan and Michael Walsh detail how thousands of whites endured the hardships of tobacco farming and lived and died in bondage in the New World. Following the cultivation in 1613 of an acceptable tobacco crop in Virginia, the need for labor accelerated. Slavery was viewed as the

Hardly. At least not by many of the descendants of those slaves, but you won´t hear Neil Young singing "Northern man".

Janet fails to mention an important element of the horror perpetrated by Britain. Irish women were used for breeding with African men to produce light-skinned servants. Not for field work, but as a house and/or sex slave.

Important to note that the offspring of these slaves - if any - were property of the slave master as well. This was slavery and not indentured servitude.

The Brits raided Ireland for at least two hundred years for slaves, not indentured labor, and sent them to the Caribbean and the jungles of Brazil. Thousands of them perished and women were used for sex. Few cared, but the ones that did, had a hard time being heard, but, there is a written record of it, like Nazi´s killing Jews, not everyone was on board. But the few who could try and intervene did not have enough power to prevail. Not until the English started in the African Slave Trade did the use of Irish slaves come to an end.

Again, as I posted earlier about the "forgotten" war against the Barbary pirates, European slaves were commonly known about in the fifties and early sixties. When the liberals took over public education, starting in the seventies, that part of our history was conveniently ignored in favor of decrying black slavery.

"Black slaves received better treatment than Europeans on plantations, as they were viewed as valuable, lifelong property rather than indentured servants with a specific term of service."

You won´t find that quote in the Smithsonian African-American history section.

No wonder Americans have turned out to be fiercely independent, freedom-loving people who will not bow down to anybody. Only our government and the descendants of slaves of that other color have forgotten this. One day they will be reminded.

#10: Australian deportations began in 1788. That was five years after the Treaty of Paris. With the American colonies independent, the Crown needed a new place to exile their Irish, English, and Scottish convicts.

A group I didn´t see mentioned in the article was the Scots Jacobites, i.e., the supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie. Robert Louis Stevenson made mention of a slave ship filled with Scottish slaves in Kidnapped.

The authentic history of indentured servants was not a secret to anyone in this country until these recent years of the history revisionist´s fantasies & folly. Authentic American history was once routinely taught in the public schools, written about in historical books and portrayed in movies set in that timeframe, but is now tragically unheard of by younger Americans today due to the PC revisionists tinkering & trickery.

My great (five more times) grandfather arrived in Virginia as an indentured "servant" in the last decade of the 1600s. He was able to work off his indenture, acquire a bit of property, marry, and raise a family. His will was signed "X his mark". Several of his sons became large landowners. One of his grandsons served in the Virginia legislature during the Revolutionary war...with many of the "famous" early Virginians. Is ours a great country, or what?

Everytime I find some brain dead zombie like Leftist praising Scandinavian socialism ("the third way") I remind them that the Swedish economy has depended to a great deal on stealing native Sa´ami lands.

The Swedes, starting in 1638, began transporting Sa´mi (families and all were rounded up) to America for the purpose of cutting down trees and producing pine oil.

They were so effective that well over 90% of the Sa´ami population was shipped here!

The Swedes continue to pressure the Sa´ami to give up their few remaining traditional lands.

One of my ancestral tribes is down to 500 members. Within the last 15 years we have lost an entire Sa´ami nation... out of the 11 still existing, from the hundreds in Medieval times.

Swedes are merde!
