Palin goes for the jugular

A nightmare is unfolding for the New York Times that could well be devastating for the collapsing credibility and mindshare of the entire progressive media. In a court filing by defense counsel for the New York Times, the scope of the discovery being sought by Palin’s legal team was revealed. (snip)She is probably entitled to know what they said about her since she is alleging that they acted with malice. Texts, IMs, emails, tweets, instagrams, and more. I bet there are precedents. It is pure speculation on my part, of course, but I would guess that negative sentiments about Palin could

She´s turning the tables on the Kafkaesque media.

Her lawyers know they won´t get everything they ask for but it will cost the Times money and, er, time to vet their own records and archives in order to justify any reduction in scope to the judge.

As with the Russia fiction, it´s quite handy to have the facts on your side.

"Maybe it is my prejudice against them speaking, and nobody at the New York Times would ever hang out online with people like that ..."

There is a simple reason that the supposition of prejudicial communications is probably true, arrogance. These people are proud of their attack dog role against Republicans. It is their purpose in life. They don´t recognize it as bias but instead think of it as fighting "evil".

Unlike the Russian investigation where no evidence has ever been found, this discovery will bleed evidence copiously. Palin could lose her lawsuit and still deal the liberal media an enormous blow.

No one has taken more hits for conservatism than Sarah Palin. We owe her so much. As for what would be in the communications Palin´s attorneys are requesting? Remember Journolist in which "reporters" discussed how best to "frame" Gov. Palin in order to damage her most? The discussions about her youngest child (who is disabled) were especially offensive as the participants worked together to be sure that they not portray Palin´s choosing to have a disabled child as either admirable or in a manner that would gain sympathy for Palin. It was collusion in bias (and deliberate mean spirited"ness").

Perhaps true, #11. But we live in an age where screen shots, and archived information are at the fingertips of many who have been interested in these events through the years. Somebody somewhere could have "saved" and "shared" some of the same info that the NYT could be trying to destroy. The Left has never had real reason for concern that they would be held to account for their actions - until now.

Trump haters, intoxicated on the Nazi-KKK-Trump meme they are pushing, are unmasking themselves as hateful cynics. Yesterday, we saw Katy Tur of MSNBC metaphorically morph before our eyes into a vulture feasting for political carrion on the body of Charlottesville victim Heather Heyer. One thing overlooked in the uproar over Charlottesville is that this was, evidently, merely a dress rehearsal for a much larger-scale effort planned for this Autumn. Activist groups on the left evidently have something big in store for November 4th. The idea seems to be a revival of the 1971 “Days of Rage” – an effort to shut down the country as a whole to force a change in government. Thanks to one of many political mailing lists that AT finds itself on, we received an email last Sunday from the “Stop Mass Incarceration Network,” a little-known left-wing agitation group, one
