The Mothers Being Deported by Trump
The New Yorker, by Sarah Stillman

Original Article

On June 28th, President Trump convened a roundtable at the White House that included victims of crimes committed by undocumented immigrants. The event was part of the Administration’s push to pass several new immigration bills designed to, in Trump’s words, “close the dangerous loopholes exploited by criminals, gang members, drug dealers, killers, terrorists.” A regular theme of the Trump Administration’s messaging on immigration has been to present undocumented “bad hombres” as an immediate threat to the safety and cohesion of the American family unit. But some of Trump’s immigration policies, in themselves, have endangered families across America. The stories below,

Why am I supposed to feel sorry for these people? With the exception of the one brought here as a child who didn´t know she was illegal, the rest knowingly broke our immigration laws and think they´re entitled to stay. Send them home where they belong.

Yu knew this was coming- Right? The heart tugs, the pitiful stories of babies being ripped out of the mother´s arms as she is deported for being illegal. The successful business leader, torn from the control of the business he worked so hard to create and make successful, destroyed merely because he or she was on the wrong side of an arbitrary border. The Mexicans, Hondurans, Guatemalans, etc are Human Beings, too! They will naturally invoke Christian values- the left always does when it suits them...never mind all those murdered dismembered babies.

The law is meaningless to Leftists in the wake of such emotional hysteria. What is the Law? Did not St. paul even reject the Law int he name of Jesus? Indeed! What is the law?

Why do we have to be so cruel as to have a successful nation right next door to one so filled with such poor, honest, decent, hard working human beings? Waaa!

Victims of crimes committed by undocumented immigrants are NOT REALLY a priority for most of the liberal rags like the New Yorker. They regard most non-whites as the "oppressed" and therefore the "good deed" of letting in even illegals (along with some criminals), so liberals can think well of themselves, makes the "collateral damage" to innocent Americans a small price to pay, for "the greater good."
These attitudes are ANTI-AMERICAN.

Still can´t understand the claim that "families will be ripped apart" when parents are deported. If these immigrants are indeed the wholesome "family-oriented folks" their advocates portray, why wouldn´t the kids simply go home with mom? Am I missing something? Bueller?

So, if a criminal trespasser welps a litter in your back yard the whole group gets to live in your house?
These people are trespassers. That the females are capable of becoming pregnant is not relevant to the discussion.

You can always tell when an Enemedia "news source" is on the side of the criminals and criminality - how could they not be, being Organized Crime(D) themselves - when they use the ludicrous term "undocumented". As if they still needed to give themselves away.

I read the article and felt no sympathy for these women. First of all the leftists in the American press have been writing these sob stories for as long as I can remember. Secondly, the cost to educate a single child K-12 costs American taxpayers close to $200,000. Then there is the matter of EBT/food stamps, which were freely handed out, especially by the Obama Administration via the American citizen children of these women. Then there are all the never paid ER visits that these women routinely use as a pediatrician´s office, to the point that many hospitals across the country are near bankruptcy. There is also the matter of overflowing classrooms and huge amounts of money directed to ELL programs. And what about the gangs that so many of the sons of these women willingly join which have turned many formerly family friendly communities into war zones? Sorry, I am fresh out of sympathy. It was a routine matter for decades for pregnant illegal aliens to intentionally cross our border to then use their American born child to receive welfare and our laws (hospitals must treat whoever walks in their door) for free medical care. Nearly 100% of the births of these new American citizen children is paid for by taxpayers. Enough. No sympathy. We are 20 trillion dollars in debt, in substantial part due to all this terrible advice from the left.

Don´t come here illegally, don´t get deported. It´s that simple. If you do get deported, take your tax dollar sucking spawn with you. I´m sick of working my arse off to support you to the detriment of my own family.

BTW, I was driving home from a trip yesterday and stopped at a rest stop on I-95. It was full of women in saris. Sometimes I think that our new national motto should be "Assimilate or Leave".

She crossed the border in 2002 and was pregnant. I believe she had another child since then. Although she was working at a poultry plant, her children were receiving social services benefits. They still are because they are placed in protective services. The article wants us to feel sorry for this women. I don´t. I´m not cold hearted, just tired of supporting everyone that decides to come over our borders and request handouts from our tax dollars. I suggest that deportation is in order and she has the option to take her children.

As the director of the Global Migration Project, at Columbia Journalism School, I spent the spring supervising a team of twelve journalists who sought to understand the evolution of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ice) under President Trump.

You find Stillman mentioned a lot in Google relative to this “Global Immigration Project”.

Here is a sample story about Sofia, 17 and pregnant, who turned up at our border with her 3 year old brother:

When Sofia was 13 years old, her mother left Honduras to come to the United States. Poverty, domestic violence, and an alcoholic husband prompted her to make the move. Sofia and her older brother, who has remained in Honduras, were left in the care of her father and grandmother. At that time, Samuel was just 6 months old.

“My dad felt very disillusioned, alone, after my mom [left]. He drank a lot. I started working so that I could help raise my little brother,” Sofia recalled. She dropped out of school at age 14 and enrolled at a beauty academy. After graduating, she began working in a salon.

Sofia’s grandmother had another child to look after and didn’t pay much attention to the young siblings. “I had to look out for my little brother, buy the milk, buy the diapers, and make sure he got fed,” Sofia said. While she was working at the salon, Sofia met a 20-year-old man, and they began dating. “I didn’t really live that much time with him. I ended up getting pregnant, and then we separated,” she said.

More here.

Her mother took off and left the family, looking for a better life for HERSELF.

There is a serious disconnect in Stillman’s story and her “cause”. And it’s not up to us to fix it.

Thanks to a little-noticed auction sale, a South Bay couple are the proud owners of one of the most exclusive streets in San Francisco — and they’re looking for ways to make their purchase pay. Tina Lam and Michael Cheng snatched up Presidio Terrace — the block-long, private oval street lined by 35 megamillion-dollar mansions — for $90,000 and change in a city-run auction stemming from an unpaid tax bill. They outlasted several other bidders. Now they’re looking to cash in — maybe by charging the residents of those mansions to park on their own private street.
