LOWELL, Mass.- They hide in weeds along hiking trails and in playground grass. They wash into rivers and float downstream to land on beaches. They pepper baseball dugouts, sidewalks and streets. Syringes left by drug users amid the heroin crisis are turning up everywhere. In Portland, Maine, officials have collected more than 700 needles so far this year, putting them on track to handily exceed the nearly 900 gathered in all of 2016. In March alone, San Francisco collected more than 13,000 syringes, compared with only about 2,900 the same month in 2016. People, often children, risk getting stuck by

No government safety net breeds a strong work ethic. I´m not proposing to sacrifice the sacred cows but I don´t think drug addition ought to be a disability for purposes of SS, Medicaid, Medicare, etc. Of course it impairs a person´s ability to work, duh. The easy answer is to not do drugs. Then we would have a lot less of raining needles.

Fallout from 9 months of apocalyptic propaganda from the Left. If I ever reached the point where even hope was hopeless, I might start shooting heroin to numb the pain, too.

The ´antifa´ has been telling the world every single day that Hitler is running America, the planet is lost without the Paris accords, etc. Who, among those who actually believe the BS, could possibly have any hope left?

I put the blame squarely on Hillary and the enemedia, as agents (conscious and willing or not) of the Evil One.

Growing up, my kids never got to experience the glory of sand against your bare feet while at the beach.

They always had on a pair of saltwater taffy sandals instead of being barefoot.

I could not trust the beach to not hide multiple items capable of causing great harm under the surface. I don´t know if they even make them anymore.

Needle exchange, methadone, safe ´shooting´ spaces. A subsidized activity always increases as also happens when risk (perceived or otherwise) becomes lower.
Greedy people soliciting our money to "help" addicts work to create more addicts so they can solicit more money.
The most compassionate thing we, as a society, can do is to make opiate use as hazardous and deadly as possible. That would save countless lives.

The very fake news scandal engulfing CNN just erupted again on Wednesday afternoon as CNN’s Chris Cillizza published demonstrably fake news. What’s more, Cillizza’s significant mistake ropes two more CNN anchors—Kate Bolduan and Brooke Baldwin—into the very fake news scandal touching nearly every single person at CNN. The fake news from Cillizza specifically was meant to rebut President Donald Trump’s attacks on the fake media after the nothing story about a supposed extra, previously unreported “meeting” with Russian president Vladimir Putin at the recent G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany. Many media outlets went haywire on Tuesday when the extra “meeting”

When President Ronald Reagan was asked why he settled for a 5 percent tax cut in 1981 when he had proposed cutting taxes by twice as much, he answered: “Half a loaf is better than none.” That’s advice the Republican Party should heed right now.
