The U.S. Secret Service on Sunday said Donald Trump Jr. was not under protection during his meeting with a Russian attorney in June 2016, adding that they would not have screened any of his meetings. "Donald Trump, Jr. was not a protectee of the USSS in June, 2016. Thus we would not have screened anyone he was meeting with at that time," Secret Service spokesman Mason Brayman said in a statement to Reuters. On Sunday morning, Jay Sekulow, a member of Trump´s legal team, questioned on ABC News´ "This Week" why the Secret Service allowed Trump Jr. to meet Kremlin-linked

"Trump Jr., ......met with Veselnitskaya, who said she had damaging information on Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton."

She speaks only limited English, which is why the British music promoter had to arrange a meeting for her and Trump campaign. As to Jay Sekulow, he believes that he is still an FNC analyst rather than a discreet attorney for the President. He´s becoming the Lanny Davis of Repubs, always on and always spinning. There was nothing illegal about having the meeting and the Trump team did not ask anyone to perform an illegal act as a result of the meeting. That´s all that Jay has to say.

This whole situation reeks of setup by Clinton team, Loretta Lynch, and the Obama administration. From the moment Donald Trump won the presidency, these individuals took the necessary steps to start the "Russian collusion" theory. That was the very reason why Wisconsin had to do their recount.

They along with the liberals are trying daily to discredit Trump as our President. This is disgusting.

So since Jr. wasn´t under protective service, did that mean anyone who "said´ they were meeting with Jr would be let in.? That seems like a gaping hole in security.Absurd.

The leftist media keep leaving out the important things. Did Trump Jr. yawn at the meeting? Use a tissue? Take a sip of water?
Was the water in a paper cup or a glass? Was
there any water available at all?

All of these un-answered questions! We probably will never now the full extent of what went on at this secret meeting! (s/o)

There´s been a stark partisan divide over the Trump dossier -- the collection of "salacious and unverified" allegations about Donald Trump (the words are former FBI Director James Comey´s) that was reportedly gathered by Trump´s opponents, and later by the FBI itself, in both the Republican primaries and the general election. Republicans believe the dossier is a key part of the Trump Russia story -- after all, it involves a foreign intelligence agent (former MI6 agent Christopher Steele) digging dirt on Trump from Russians with possible ties to Vladimir Putin. Democrats have not been very interested, preferring to focus on possible

The Department of Justice has identified a former business associate of ex-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort as an "upper-echelon [associate] of Russian organized crime." The declaration came in a 115-page filing as part of the government´s case against Dmytro Firtash, a Ukrainian oligarch who was once involved in a failed multimillion-dollar deal to buy New York´s Drake Hotel with Manafort, and an important player in the Ukrainian political party for which Manafort worked. Firtash is being prosecuted for what federal prosecutors in Chicago say was his role in bribing Indian officials in order to get a lucrative mining deal to sell titanium

WASHINGTON: A small green sponge discovered in dark, icy waters of the Pacific off Alaska could be the first effective weapon against pancreatic cancer, researchers said Wednesday. Pancreatic cancer, with particularly aggressive tumors, is notoriously difficult to treat. “One would never have imagined looking at this sponge that it could be miraculous,” Bob Stone, a researcher at the NOAA Alaska Fisheries Science Center, said in a briefing by phone. Stone discovered the sponge, dull in color, called “Latrunculia austini” in 2005 while on a seabed exploration expedition in Alaska. It lives on rocks in patches at depths of 230-720 feet (70-219m). President Donald Trump’s Wednesday announcement on Twitter that transgender men and women will not be allowed to serve in the military “in any capacity” was not a complete surprise: Last month, Defense Secretary James Mattis announced that the military was hitting the pause button on an Obama-era plan to welcome openly transgender people into the military. The Trump administration may soon learn that singling out a class of people for exclusion violates the constitutional guarantee of equal protection under the law. MedStar Washington Hospital Center says the six-term Louisiana Republican was released from the hospital on Tuesday and is beginning "intensive inpatient rehabilitation." It isn´t identifying the facility. The hospital says in a statement that Scalise (skuh-LEES´) was in good spirits and looking forward to returning to work once he completes his rehabilitation. Imran Awan, a House staffer at the center of a criminal investigation potentially impacting dozens of Democratic lawmakers, has been arrested on bank fraud and is prevented from leaving the country while the charges are pending. A senior House Democratic aide confirmed Awan was still employed by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) as of Tuesday morning. But David Damron, a spokesman for Wasserman Schultz, later said that Awan was fired on Tuesday. Awan pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to one count of bank fraud during his arraignment in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Earlier in the night, I’d tweeted, citing a “senior White House official,” that Scaramucci was having dinner at the White House with President Trump, the First Lady, Sean Hannity, and the former Fox News executive Bill Shine. It was an interesting group, and raised some questions. Was Trump getting strategic advice from Hannity? Was he considering hiring Shine? But Scaramucci had his own question—for me. “Who leaked that to you?” he asked. I said I couldn’t give him that information.

President Donald Trump has been attacking his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, daily. There have been brutal attacks on Twitter, in media interviews, and during speeches. Conventional wisdom is that Trump is getting ready to fire Sessions or hoping Sessions resigns. Conventional wisdom also assured everyone that Hillary Clinton would win in a landslide, the only question being by how large a margin. Trump´s complaint is that his attorney general should not have recused himself from the Russia hacking hoax and that he is dragging his feet on long overdue investigations and prosecutions: Deep State leaks; unmasking; DNC and Clinton collusion
