Ann Coulter bashes Delta
Airlines in tweetstorm

The Hill, by Josh Delk

Original Article

Posted By:Lalo, 7/16/2017 10:06:55 PM

Ann Coulter´s series of tweets targeting Delta Airlines stretched into a second day on Sunday after the conservative author said she lost a prebooked "extra-room" seat on a flight. "The worst airline in America" she said in a tweet Saturday night. "Just when you think it´s safe to fly them again, the worst airline in America is STILL: @Delta," she added. [Tweet] Coulter said a flight attendant responded "I don´t know" when asked why the "extra-room seat I specifically booked" was given to another customer. Coulter then took a picture of the woman who was given the seat, and said

Ann and the President seem to have a similar ethic about being ´attacked´ -- punch back ten times harder.

Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode about the car reservation -- "you know how to take the reservation, you just don´t know how to hold the reservation." I guess we´re supposed to be thankful they don´t put us out on the wing.

Threaten them by saying "next time I´m taking a bus".

If that doesn´t work you can always scream:
"Do you know who I am??!!"

When I fly on Delta, it´s always Delta Comfort. Wish I´d seen Ann Coulter. She is editorially fearless.

Be that as it may, this little episode is ridiculous. Boring.

They probably knew that she is a conservative commentator and decided to screw over her by giving her previously assigned seat to someone else. They don´t make mistakes on seat assignments as they are all computerized these days. Coulter most likely flies commercial all the time, after making an evaluation of the situation she should probably take her business somewhere else.

Delta responded to her nastily because HER complaints hurt them. She is extra tall. She specifically booked it.
As a frequent flyer, she had every reason to be itritated.

I had a similar experience with another airline. I have severe health problems with my legs and booked an extra seat so I could move my legs to ease the pain. They moved me to a window seat which are smaller and the flight was so painful, I haven´t flown since and will never trust any airline again.

Assuming everything in the article is factual, Ann played by the rules set by the airline. She paid for a specific seat, a choice given by the airline. If the personnel wanted to make a change they should have apprised Ann of the situation and offered her a comparable seat. The choice should have been hers, she paid for the privilege. If you make a policy, abide by it. I hate actions that become arbitrary; just a pet peeve.

I just flew round trip to Dallas on United and had no problem at all. I flew "basic economy" which is cheaper but doesn´t allow seat selection. I was given a window seat, but I prefer the aisle so I went to the desk at my gate and they changed me to an aisle seat.

I also love their new policy of making you pay if you want to take your roller bag on board and put it in the overhead bin. Now most people check their bags and only carry on a personal item. It makes boarding and de-boarding twice as fast and you don´t have to worry about someone dropping their roller bag on your head or slamming it into your knees.

100,000 hard working employees to move you safely from any two locations on the planet.
Let the billion passengers tell us what the airlines do correctly that matters most to them in their travels.
The airline industry is not the problem, it the uncivilized
passengers that become idiots in front of a camera or a iPhone.

2 hours of misery. When you pay extra for something, you fully expect to get that "extra". Hotel "guaranteed reservations" are supposed to absolutely guarantee you get that room, - they do not. Same with airline seats- read the fine print on your ticket. Most stuff like that is nothing but a legalized con game.

Ann´s very tall, I´m sure the extra seat pitch helps with her long legs a whole lot for comfort. I doubt that the $30 had anything to do with it, it was comfort and the fact that she had a "confirmed reservation" which apparently doesn´t count for much.

OTOH, personally attacking the flight attendant....not cool. I have met and like Ann, but she does go over the top a lot.

Her books are a treasure trove, though. Anyone who hasn´t read Treason:Liberal Treachery .... is missing a whole lot of the underlying truths of how the Democrats have been working with the soviets for many decades to destroy the US.

the problem was started by them and they failed to ameliorate it.

The Trump administration is increasing the number of troops in Afghanistan and, by doing so, keeping us involved even longer in a 16-year-old war that has long since gone past its time. The mission in Afghanistan has lost its purpose, and I think it is a terrible idea to send any more troops into that war. It’s time to come home now. Our war in Afghanistan began in a proper fashion. We were attacked on 9/11. The Taliban, who then controlled Afghanistan, were harboring al Qaeda, and after being warned, and after an authorization from Congress, our military executed a plan to

Trump was photographed taking in the historic event from the White House with his son Barron and first lady Melania, who threw on a pair of black shades. Few would deny the comedic genius of Jerry Lewis, who died Sunday at age 91. But there is one movie in his slapstick-riddled filmography that drew no laughs — partly because it is so distasteful, partly because, at the behest of Lewis himself, it is never officially screened. It’s 1972’s “The Day the Clown Cried,” an attempt at a serious Holocaust film that Lewis directed and starred in. The agency has faced a crushing workload since the height of the contentious election season, and it

Thanks to Monday´s solar eclipse, disastrous traffic jams have been taking over the country these last few days. And as folks leave the first coast-to-coast solar eclipse since 1918, the U.S. Department of Transportation estimated that nearly two-thirds of the nation´s resident live withing a day´s drive of the path of totality. And with Oregon being the first to see the eclipse, it and neighboring state Washington are experiencing the worst bouts of the traffic jams. ´This is the biggest transportation event that has ever hit Oregon,´ Dave Thompson, a spokesman for the Oregon Department of Transportation told AP. For WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling, it was an especially awe-inspiring event. The famed meteorologist hugged and high-fived people around him and wept as the eclipse occurred Monday afternoon. "Oh, my word," Skilling said. "Wow. This is amazing. What do you think of this, this?" At another point, he told viewers, "I´ll get my act together, guys." His voice cracking, Skilling apologized for his tears. Skilling´s heartfelt reaction earned him praise from fans:

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are among a set of White House aides pushing President Trump to allow illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to stay, in an effort to get Democrats to fund the president´s border wall. McClatchy reported that the group of White House officials have suggested using so-called ´Dreamers´ as a bargaining chip, in order to check off some of the president´s campaign promises on immigration, including the wall, additional detention facilities, an E-verify system for employers and cuts to legal immigration. However, such a move would break another campaign promise, as candidate Donald Trump had pledged

As the face of CNN, Anderson Cooper makes a very good living as wealthy, privileged white man casting judgments of affiliation upon his political enemies. This includes taking a handful of idiotic white supremacists and declaring they represent millions of Republicans/conservatives, pro-America, Trump supporters, etc. And yet Mr. Cooper himself has a much closer affiliation to slavery than he likely wants his leftist viewers to know. As a descendant of the Vanderbilt family, one of the wealthiest “old money” families in American history, Cooper is a direct descendant of big time slave owners. Cooper’s great-great grandfather, Cornelius Vanderbilt, owned several plantations,
