Refugee activists are apoplectic because U.S. officials have withdrawn from interviewing economic migrants on the Australian island of Nauru. The entire relocation and immigration scheme was set into place by President Obama during his lame-duck period after the 2016 Presidential election. Incoming President Donald Trump was not happy when Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull informed him of the secret deal. President Trump reluctantly agreed to consider the 1,250 asylum seekers and established conditions the refugees would have to pass rigorous checks. SYDNEY/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. officials interviewing refugees held in an Australian-run offshore detention center left the facility abruptly, three
Comments: Quota for refugees for year ending October 1 has been met. Only exception would be for close relatives of persons in United States. Unlikely in these “refugees” who are from Somalia, Afghanistan and Sudan. Article describes why Australia is pressing; their deal with Nauru to temporarily take these “refugees” is about to run out.
These people are the dregs of Muslim societies. They are exceptionally primitive and very few of them really assimilate into more modern cultures. They should be immediately shipped right back to their home countries. Why that is not done really amazes me. Liberals, I suppose, whining for "human rights". Liberals really are the most dangerous critters to mankind´s future.
It´s clear that Obama went to great lengths and disregarded US Immigration law to allow as many foreign origin Muslims as possible to enter the USA. Obama and the vote hungry liberal Democrats are seeped in identity politics, and two of those identity based Democrat constituency groups, foreign origin Muslims, and the LGBTQ communities were favored by Obama over all others. Economic migrants are not covered under the US asylum and refugee laws, because if they were, billions of poor people from the third world would gain a preference to enter the USA, a situation that would be bound to transform the USA into another Bangladesh, and perpetual socialist utopia that the Liberal Democrats think would keep them in permanent political power.
Look at this way Aussies. Trump becomes POTUS & finds out BO made a secret deal with you which Trump was unaware of & is not bound by law to keep. You made the mistake of taking them knowing you could not turn them loose on yourselves. Then tried to pawn them off on US. Trump says that´s NOT what a real friend does. So you keep them or get rid of them. Advice:Return to sender address unknown.
Send them back where they came from!!!!!!!!! BTW, why is it that every ´refugee´ is always headed to the US, why not Russia??? After all, our lefties tell us that the commies are all living in heavenly bliss. SO, let´s send our illegals from Mexico over there as well. I am sure Puttin would love the idea to be swamped by Muslims and Mexicans!
The next time somebody tells you we need open borders, ask them how many we should take and tell them that the current population of Africa is a billion and a quarter million. 95% would willingly come to the US if allowed. That´s a billion poor, mostly uneducated people. Many are Muslims and many are violent. The Dem Party is probably right in thinking most would vote for their party. That´s their end game.
The best thing in the article, besides our officials withdrawing, was the picture of the cat. Although it is not stated in the article why the cat´s picture was there next to the Australian PM, I give the editors kudos for including it. If the cat is a refugee, I´d be happy to give it a home.
(*) Apart from all the other best things ever he has done so far… Just like The Simpsons in the days when it was good, Trump’s ban on transgenderism in the military is great because it works on so many levels. It’s great because it trolls like a boss. Trump: I bet I can get liberals to defend joining the army. Mattis: No way. Trump: Hold my beer while I tweet. pic.twitter.com/VX0eo11iIU — Not Elizabeth (@BasedElizabeth) July 27, 2017 It’s great because it has annoyed so many of the right people: Donald: With your ban on trans people from the military, you are on notice that you just
Friday on CNN’s “New Day,” Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), a candidate for the U.S. Senate in Alabama, suggested it might be time for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to step down from his leadership position if he is unable to repeal Obamacare. Brooks explained that if were unable to accomplish that repeal, then he may be unable to fulfill other parts of President Donald Trump’s agenda. “Unquestionably the leadership at the top is responsible,” Brooks said. “The buck stops there, that’s why you take on that kind of responsibility,” Brooks said. “And if Mitch McConnell cannot get the job done on
Starbucks Corp. suffered its biggest stock decline in almost two years after cutting its forecast, renewing fears about sputtering growth at the world’s largest coffee chain. The shares dropped as much as 8.2 percent to $54.63 in New York, the biggest intraday plunge since August 2015. Slowing growth in the U.S. forced Starbucks to cut its profit forecast for the fiscal year. The company also admitted defeat in its effort to run a chain of tea shops, saying it will shutter its Teavana stores, a move that will eliminate 3,300 jobs. The tepid outlook adds the pressure on Chief Executive
TOKYO — North Korea has taken another step toward achieving its stated goal of being able to send a nuclear weapon to the United States mainland, apparently firing another ballistic missile late Friday night. However, it was not immediately clear whether the missile was an intercontinental one capable of reaching the continental United States. North Korea appeared to launch the missile just after 11 p.m. local time, South Korea’s joint chiefs of staff said. South Korean President Moon Jae-in convened an emergency national security meeting. Japanese authorities also reported detecting the launch, with the missile appearing to land within Japan’s exclusive economic
Roughly a month ago, we noted that Republicans might be well served to stop sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting for the next Russia ´bombshell´ to drop and actually go on the offensive against an ´investigation´ that has obviously morphed into mass hysteria courtesy of free-flowing leaks from a conflicted "intelligence community" intent upon bringing down a presidency rather than finding out the truth. Here´s what we said: Of course, until someone within the Trump administration or Republican Party smartens up and calls for the appointment of a ´Special Counsel´ to look into Hillary´s email scandal, something that should
Atlantic Media owner David Bradley announced today that he will sell the anchor of his sprawling Washington-based media empire: its iconic, 160-year-old monthly magazine, to Laurene Powell Jobs, Steve Jobs’ widow and one of the richest people in the world. Bradley, 64, announced the sale in a morning memo to his staff. (Snip)Atlantic Media is an amalgam of disparate businesses employing 730 (125 at National Journal). The empire brings in around $135 million in revenue and is profitable. Bradley made his fortune by founding two companies, the Advisory Board and Corporate Executive Board, which he took public and sold. It gave him
Oh, that fake news media and those weak Republicans! How many times in recent weeks have they warned of twenty-something million Americans would lost their health insurance if Obamacare was repealed? It’s been a near constant mantra used to bully and intimidate politicians into not doing the right and honest thing for Americans. To confirm just how dishonest and spineless the Establishment media and politicians have been, check this bit of information out: By Scott Rasmussen July 27, 2017: If the individual mandate were to be repealed and Americans were no longer required to purchase the Obamacare-mandated levels of health insurance coverage, the
As readers may know, Attorney General Jeff Sessions took steps to halt payments of Byrne Justice Assistance grants (federal money given to local law enforcement agencies) to sanctuary cities. Viewers of CNN, Fox News and MSNBC are less likely to know, as are readers of various anti-Trump newspapers. These media outlets inundate their audiences with Fake News about Trump´s outrageous tweets, Trump´s outrageous interviews, and Trump´s outrageous speeches.(Snip)To gauge a president’s impact you have to go beyond the laws he signs to the vast authority he wields through departments and agencies that apply the law. On that score, Mr. Trump is
Since Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 election, a constant drumbeat of Russophobia has resounded throughout the halls of power. Today, the drumbeat has become so deafening that Congress’s already self-imposed inability to legislate has been made even worse, if you can believe it. In turn, this clamorous Russophobia has needlessly blunted the president’s ability to “make America Great again.” America’s current Russophobia epidemic is not based on anything substantive. Rather, our Ruling Class are still sick about their preferred candidate losing the November election. How pathetic. For all the talk of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s murderous tyranny (and, yes,
In congressional testimony today William Browder, CEO of Hermitage Capital, was testifying about the “Foreign Agents Registration Act” (FARA). During Mr. Browder’s testimony the origin of the Fusion GPS ‘Russian Dossier’ was discussed. Browder stated the Russian government actually paid Fusion GPS to create the Steele propaganda dossier on candidate Donald Trump. That same dossier was used by the FBI in June/July 2016 to generate the FISA surveillance warrants against the Trump campaign. WATCH: (Video) Yes, that actually means FBI Director James Comey was using propaganda commissioned by Russia to attack Trump, as the framework to launch his FBI investigation into
At 1:45am on July 28th 2017, Republican Senator John McCain together with Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins voted against the ObamaCare repeal in the Senate; ensuring the failing ObamaCare health care takeover and economic drag continues. This should not come as a surprise. McCain has a legacy of voting against the American people to the benefit of his corrupt legislative corporate handlers. Yet, the vote was still blood-boiling in ramification and consequence. (Snip) Senator McCain’s vote holds much larger ramifications than just the continuance of ObamaCare. Inherent within the retention is a reality that any tax reform, tax cuts to
First lady Brigitte Macron greeted the the Umbrella singer in front of the cameras on the steps of the palace after she tweeted the President last month. Rihanna, an education campaigner, wrote: “Bonjour @Emmanuel Macron, will France commit to #FundEducation?” The three then discussed education in the developing world, as Rihanna gushed it was “the most incredible meeting”. (Snip)“Celeb diplomacy with Bono and Rihanna while the July 21 decree cuts €136million for developing countries. No comment.” After being elected in May with 66 per cent of the vote, 39-year-old Macron has seen his approval rating plummet by up to 10 points.
On Wednesday night, I received a phone call from Anthony Scaramucci, the new White House communications director. He wasn’t happy. Earlier in the night, I’d tweeted, citing a “senior White House official,” that Scaramucci was having dinner at the White House with President Trump, the First Lady, Sean Hannity, and the former Fox News executive Bill Shine. It was an interesting group, and raised some questions. Was Trump getting strategic advice from Hannity? Was he considering hiring Shine? But Scaramucci had his own question—for me. “Who leaked that to you?” he asked. I said I couldn’t give him that information.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz employed Pakistani IT staffers and brothers who were paid over $4 million dollars over the course of their employment even though they were accused of a cyber-security breach. Imran Awan was arrested as he attempted to flee the U.S. after wiring approximately $300,000 to Pakistan. Fox News is the only cable network covering this huge scandal. When Imran Awan was arrested he was carrying $12,000 in cash on him. His wife was carrying $12,000 of cash when she fled the country too. Imran and his Muslim brothers, Abid and Jamal accessed unauthorized computers while acting as IT
The moderator lauded Michelle Obama for her achievements over the past eight years and touched on the former first lady’s plans, but Tuesday’s conversation also veered into uncomfortable territory. It was Obama’s largest public appearance since the 2016 election — speaking in front of more than 8,000 people at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s 30th anniversary celebration — and she touched on personal attacks that she faced again and again. Many had the same theme. “The shards that cut me the deepest were the ones that intended to cut,” Obama said, according to the Denver Post. “Knowing that after eight
Hillary Clinton is to call her new memoir about being beaten by Donald Trump ´What Happened´, her publisher announced Thursday. Her photograph will not feature on the cover - and she will call herself Hillary Rodham Clinton. She ran as Hillary Clinton. The memoir, published by Simon & Schuster promises to deliver the story of her defeat ´now free from the constraints of politics´. It will finally break the pattern of months by containing details of her ´mistakes´ - but firmly blame James Comey and the Russians. One friend of Clinton told The Hill it would be a ´bombshell´. The
President Trump responded to the Senate Republican´s inability to pass a skinny version of Obamacare´s repeal the only way he knows how: Twitter. (Tweet) Senate Republicans weren´t able to muster enough votes to pass their skinny repeal of Obamacare. Senators voted 49-51 shortly before 2:00 a.m. Friday morning. Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) cast a surprise "no" vote. He was joined by GOP Sens. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Susan Collins (Maine). The bill, titled the Health Care Freedom Act, would have repealed the individual insurance mandate. It would also have repealed the employer mandate for eight years.
A transgender former Navy SEAL has spoken out against President Trump’s ban on transgender military members, saying he is preventing soldiers from doing their service. “Let´s meet face to face and you tell me I´m not worthy,” Kristin Beck, a retired SEAL Team 6 member who has fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, told Business Insider. Beck was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and the Meritorious Service Medal during her time in the service, when she kept her gender identity a secret, according to a 2015 profile in GQ. The President said that transgender service in the military causes
President Donald Trump’s Wednesday announcement on Twitter that transgender men and women will not be allowed to serve in the military “in any capacity” was not a complete surprise: Last month, Defense Secretary James Mattis announced that the military was hitting the pause button on an Obama-era plan to welcome openly transgender people into the military. But the announcement was a legal land mine. The Trump administration may soon learn that singling out a class of people for exclusion violates the constitutional guarantee of equal protection under the law. And as to those transgender soldiers already serving openly, any effort
Let’s review a few recent developments. Last week, Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, resigned. This was part of a “White House shakeup” to get the Trump administration back on track. The new communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, would fix the White House’s “messaging problem.” Within 24 hours of Scaramucci’s appointment, the president returned to Twitter and unloaded another torrent of political bombshells, including talking about his power to pardon, even as his attorneys were denying that Donald Trump was thinking about pardoning anyone.
WASHINGTON -- Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) today warned President Trump against firing either Attorney General Jeff Sessions or special counsel Robert Mueller, saying he plans to introduce bipartisan judicial review legislation to protect the former FBI director and future special counsels. Graham told reporters on Capitol Hill that he´s "100 percent behind Jeff Sessions," who´s been the target of various slings from Trump over the past week, and referred to a Wednesday tweet from Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa): Everybody in D.C. Shld b warned that the agenda for the judiciary Comm is set for rest of 2017. Judges first
President Donald Trump has been attacking his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, daily. There have been brutal attacks on Twitter, in media interviews, and during speeches. Conventional wisdom is that Trump is getting ready to fire Sessions or hoping Sessions resigns. Conventional wisdom also assured everyone that Hillary Clinton would win in a landslide, the only question being by how large a margin. Trump´s complaint is that his attorney general should not have recused himself from the Russia hacking hoax and that he is dragging his feet on long overdue investigations and prosecutions: Deep State leaks; unmasking; DNC and Clinton collusion
Filmmaker Michael Moore says he tried to Hillary Clinton that Michigan and Wisconsin voters might lean toward Donald Trump before the 2016 presidential election but claims no one would listen. Moore appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night to promote his upcoming one-man Broadway show, The Terms of My Surrender. But the Michigan resident took time to discuss the current political climate, saying he ´never wanted to be more wrong in my life´ when warning people about Trump voters. ´I was trying to warn the rest of the country, out here, people who voted for Obama
WASHINGTON -- The senator who was defeated by President Obama in his 2008 quest for the White House stepped in to cast the deciding vote to kill Senate Republicans´ last-gasp effort to repeal Obama´s signature healthcare legislation before the summer recess. Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) were expected to vote against the "skinny repeal" -- a bare-bones repeal of only the individual and employer mandates as well as the medical device tax; the latter has drawn bipartisan criticism over the years. Vice President Mike Pence was at the Capitol, ready to cast a tie-breaking vote as he had to
