C´est magnifique! Melania Trump

First Lady Melania Trump dusted off her French to charm a group of sick children at a Parisian hospital on Thursday. Shortly after touching down in Paris, Melania was whisked off to Necker Hospital where she visited the Enfants Malades wing. Beaming in her red skirt suit, she greeted the children with soft ´bonjours´ before taking her seat at a play table. The 47-year-old then introduced herself enthusiastically. ´Je m´appelle Melania. Et toi?´ she gestured to one child, urging them to share their name. When one of the children replied in English, she commended them: ´You speak very good English,

As I have posted multiple times - I like Melania. I like the intelligent way she tailors her outfits very consciously to the occasion. She seems to be a kind and thoughtful person.

When someone observed a few weeks ago that she was wearing too much eye makeup, I didn´t agree. However, after getting a close look here, I must agree. Someone should let her know.

There is a very gentle elegance and intelligence about Mrs. Trump. She is always impeccably turned out. We are so blessed that she represents us so well. I love having a First Lady who truly adores little children. I look back at that first rather bold decision to stay with her son Barron in NYC those first weeks to much caterwauling in the press. She was simply putting her son first. I like it.

She knows that she is going to be photographed, mostly at a distance. Very few of her photos are closeups of just her face. Or part of her face. At a distance, her eyes are a shape that can disappear without makeup. Her makeup is undoubtedly gauged accordingly.

I have never known anyone to tell another woman that she is wearing too much eye makeup - unless perhaps it was the other woman’s mother. :-)

And I understand why she definitely needs a certain amount of eye makeup, but you may not have seen the same footage I did. And she is seeing a lot of people up close.

But - not a biggie.

U.S. investigators wiretapped President Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort, according to a report by CNN that vindicates the president’s earlier claims, which were mocked as a conspiracy theory. President Trump had tweeted on March 4: “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!” (Tweet) Breitbart News editor Joel Pollak had reported the day before Trump’s tweet that the Obama administration “sought, and eventually obtained, authorization to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign: continued monitoring the Trump team even when no evidence of wrongdoing was found.” Trump’s claim,

A plastic surgeon in New York City says business is booming with a subset of clients — women who want to look like Ivanka Trump. Specific botox, cheek implants, and rhinoplasty procedures designed to make a woman look like President Trump’s eldest daughter have kept Dr. Norman Rowe busy once a week since last summer. The surgeon said over the weekend that he is amazed at the popularity of two procedures; one involves “temporary fillers” with a $30,000 to $40,000 price tag, while the “Permanent Ivanka” tallies $45,000 to $50,000. “Since the summer of ‘16 … [it’s been] maybe four

Businessman Donald Trump has, as a natural disposition of his approach, always maintain a specific engagement pattern of respect toward his adversaries; he carries this same approach into the diplomatic role of the presidency. Tomorrow President Trump will be speaking to the U.N. General Assembly. There is a great deal of anticipatory media reporting circling how international community are evaluating the administration; and how President Trump will outline the “Trump Doctrine”.

The Emmys are becoming a tougher sell for viewers. For another year, initial ratings for the TV awards are down — this time slipping to an all-time low. Adjustments could put the total audience ahead of the previous year´s low, but the 8.2 overnight rating among metered market households is down another 2 percent from the previous year. That means that the final tally for the 2017 Emmys, hosted by Stephen Colbert on CBS, is on track to slip below the 11.3 million viewers (and a mere 2.8 rating among adults 18-49) that tuned in during 2016. Overnight ratings are naturally below those of NBC's Sunday Night Football,

The Big Idea: If I had to stock Hillary Clinton’s new memoir in a bookstore, I’d be tempted to place it in a section on self-help or bereavement. “What Happened” was quickly strip-mined for political nuggets after its publication last Tuesday. As I went through it over the weekend, though, what struck me most was how the wounded Democrat coped after her crushing defeat last November. In short, Clinton has read voraciously and eclectically — for escape, for solace and for answers. The collection of works that she cites across 494 pages showcases a top-flight intellect and would make for a compelling graduate school seminar.
