CNN: Video Shows Trump Meeting

Before he was even a candidate, Donald Trump had dinner with Russian billionaire Aras Agalarov, his pop-star son Emin and Emin’s publicist Rob Goldstone. The meeting, which took place in Las Vegas in 2013, was videotaped and someone has now given that video to CNN: [snip] The video, obtained by CNN in the wake of the email disclosures, offers fresh insights into the warm relationship between Trump and the Agalarovs, which has been widely reported because Aras Agalarov and Emin Agalarov inked a multi-million dollar deal with Trump to bring the Miss Universe pageant to Moscow in 2013. The Miss Universe contest was held in Moscow in 2013. All of this - including Trump Jr’s meeting Rob Goldstone - was in conjunction with that contest. Emil whatshisname may be the son of an oligarch, but his connection with the MU contest was as an entertainer, and I believe Goldstone represented him.

Right - this is just a small piece. People here have been in denial about Trump´s close relationship with Russia and their mutual admiration society, including people close to the government. Everyone has said disingenously, "But why would Putin/Russia want Trump? They obviously wanted Hillary to win." But that´s not the case; they wanted Trump. There is plenty of evidence that Russia loves Trump and vice versa but people will only read what they want to believe.

There is a lot of denial going around. Don Jr. denied at first the real reason for the meeting with Veselnitskaya; he said it was about adoption. Likewise, there is rampant denial about the fact that Russia wanted Trump--not Hillary.

I am not saying the administration did anything illegal or that Russia influenced the election. I´m just saying (see above).

#14 – I’m not aware of anyone being in denial about Trump’s business relationships in Russia or his international popularity. You begin by equating business relationships and celebrity status (mutual admiration society) “including people close to the government” with government action itself. Mr. Trump’s peers, in any country, are going to be people who have connections to their own government. I believe it is you who are being disingenuous when you leap to the conclusion that positive feelings towards Trump by the Russian people automatically means Putin wanted Trump to win. Based upon what information do you know Putin wanted Trump to win?

You cavalierly dismiss the ample evidence of Clinton’s longstanding collusion with the Russian government and Putin “influenced” corporations and banks. Clinton would also assuredly continue to turn a blind eye to the Ukraine, Crimea, and using natural gas deliveries as blackmail against Western Europe. Then you stated, “There is plenty of evidence that Russia loves Trump and vice versa…” However popular Trump may be with the Russian people does not equate to Putin preferring The Donald, nor offers any evidence that the Russian government was involved in his favor. And yet you accuse others of reading only what they want to believe.

It appears you could give a seminar course on denial. “I am not saying the administration did anything illegal or that Russia influenced the election,” but indeed that is what you are saying as well as trying to shame others who point out your duplicity. There is no evidence of Putin’s government doing anything out of the ordinary international election meddling. Pointing out there’s no evidence is not the same as mindlessly denying something happened. Perhaps you should stop binge watching every episode of “The Smug and the Clueless.”

Kind of funny that the article right below this article states that the DOJ gave permission to let the Russian lawyer into the United States.

I firmly believe that the Trump family denied to themselves how vicious the Democrats and liberals could be. They met (like any other wealthy family) with people they had interests with and didn´t give it a thought. Unfortunately, I don´t think the Obama administration, the Clintons, even the Bushes are as innocent as they appear. None of them like Donald Trump for obvious reasons.

Poster, I am well aware of the antics that Democrats and liberals are playing. I add to it the people who do not like Trump. These very people are drooling all over themselves that they found the very thing that will sink Donald Trump. It is disgusting.

Suddenly, it seems like Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) are driving the agenda in Congress. The deal President Trump struck with the two Democrats over the objection of the majority leaders in his own party has at least temporarily upended the balance of power in Washington, emboldening Democrats who now see space to work with Trump on immigration and spending. It’s a dramatic shift from Trump’s first seven months in office, when the president worked almost exclusively with Republicans and Democrats were largely an afterthought. But

On this issue, his actions have been more effective than those of past presidents. So far, the assumption that Trump is bungling or exacerbating the crisis with North Korea isn’t justified. Ever since he came down the escalator at Trump Tower that fateful day in June 2015, President Trump’s critics have worried that his anger-management and impulse-control issues would be exposed in an international crisis. Everything we’ve learned about him tells us that he is temperamentally unsuited to diplomacy or putting forward the image of quiet strength and confidence that is synonymous with traditional ideas about good leadership.

Let us define our terms: What is an Act of War? There are two types of Acts of War: de jure, which means as a matter of law and de facto, which means as a matter of fact. Unless a nation literally announces (de jure) to the world community, as in a declaration of war, that it committed an attack on the personnel and/or territory of another nation it comes down to a matter of fact (de facto) as assumed by the nation being attacked. These are the established facts: since late 2016

The testimony marked a departure for the commission, which was formed to look into fraud and barriers to voting, but which heard that a potentially greater threat to confidence in American elections is the chance for enemy actors to meddle. “There’s no perfect security; there’s only degrees of insecurity,” said Ronald Rivest, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

NEW YORK — Hillary Clinton was so frustrated about the infamous scandal surrounding her use of a private email server that she was “tempted” to construct voodoo dolls in the images of “certain members” of the news media and Congress, and then “stick them full of pins.” So Clinton wrote in her 494-page new memoir, What Happened, which was released today. In the book, Clinton complained that the “attacks” against her use of the private email server “were untrue or wildly overstated, and motivated by partisan politics.” She revealed her voodoo doll temptation: It was a dumb mistake. In her first live interview since the election timed with the release of her new memoir “What Happened,” Clinton on Wednesday brought up the controversy over the Benghazi terror attack in response to a question about her likability. Clinton said she was unfairly criticized, even suggesting the incident was no different than past tragedies dating back to the Reagan administration. “Take the Benghazi tragedy—you know, I have one of
