NEWARK (NJ)-- A young child shot in Newark over the weekend drew dozens of activists to the streets Sunday evening in opposition to the city´s violence. The boy, 6, and two men were struck by gunfire around 5:45 p.m. Saturday on the corner of Central Avenue and 3rd Street, authorities said. All three were transported to University Hospital and are in stable condition. But 24 hours later, the crime scene was transformed. There you have it. The government (and presumably, we crackers) have to stop the violence in black neighborhoods.

Dozens. Pretty pathetic.

This is a culture of violence, and as long as the inner city culture glorifies misogyny, shooting the police, out of wedlock births, shooting rivals, drugs and other destructive, violent acts - young thugs will do these acts. Lack of good family role models (typically no father around and nobody working) is a fudamental problem. No religious/ethical training is another crucial failing.

Not likely to change until the culture changes. Apparently most are fine with wallowing in welfare-funded, drugged violence, sad to say.

Agreed! To solve both problems, all the black community has to do is get its ´youts´ to stop lounging about on street corners and get jobs. Good luck with that.

The cops know all the druggies and gang bangers. Go into their hideouts/homes/apartments with a ´gun sniffing dog´. Once guns are found confiscate, found twice in successive searches confiscate the person and put them in a hard core prison. Remove the guards and Arm the inmates and step back, the problem will take care of itself!

perhaps all these at the rally had to take time off work to attend? And perhaps they all brought their husbands?
Yeah, right.
When I was in high school, back in the Bad Old Days, we were encouraged to read "Lord Of The Flies". It was in the school library even. Now? Probably would be banned as "triggering" or "hate speech". Certainly not Politically Correct.
And we see that it was prescient, as we see the wildest most unlikely scenes from it played out daily. Not "just" in the black communities. And not "just" in the inner cities either.
The Poles had it right, back when a good pope, not the louse now in the role, visited there. "We want God!". Until we have that, yammering about poverty and unemployment (and would you hire some of them?) is pointless.

Looking for the gov´t to provide solutions isn´t the answer...look at what your communities have become because you have let them become cesspools. Cooperate with police instead of fighting them...have babies with a husband around...prevent your children from running with gangs. Provide your own solution.

The Minnesota cop who shot and killed an Australian bride-to-be opened fire on her after being startled by a “loud sound” near his patrol car, investigators say. Officer Mohamed Noor, 31, began blasting at 40-year-old Justine Damond, of Minneapolis, just moments after he and his partner, Matthew Harrity, heard the noise in the alley behind her house, according to the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The agency provided an update Tuesday on their investigation into the Saturday night shooting. Officers Noor and Harrity had been called to Damond’s home after she called 911 to report a possible sexual assault happening

The Somali-born Minnesota police officer alleged to have shot and killed an unarmed Australian woman on Saturday had been lauded by Minneapolis’ mayor and feted by the local community when he joined the force in 2015. “I want to take a moment to recognize Officer Mohamed Noor, the newest Somali officer in the Minneapolis Police Department,” Mayor Betsy Hodges wrote in a Facebook post when Noor began serving the city. “Officer Noor has been assigned to the 5th Precinct, where his arrival has been highly celebrated, particularly by the Somali community in and around Karmel Mall.” In fact, The Washington

An Australian woman who was living in Minnesota and engaged to be married next month was shot dead by police — after she called 911 to report a disturbance behind her house. Justine Damond, 40, of Minneapolis, was killed on Saturday night by an officer who was responding to her call, according to the Star Tribune. He and another cop had arrived at her home around 11:30 p.m. — looking for a possible assault — after she claimed to hear “a sound” in the alley behind the residence, the newspaper reports. Let’s call this one “‘F***!’ news.” We’re told CNN flew into a panic on Friday after it accidentally aired a fake National Enquirer cover during Jake Tapper’s broadcast. Tapper did a segment on his “The Lead” show about Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski’s claim that Donald Trump tried to blackmail them with a hit piece in the National Enquirer. During the piece, it showed a cover from the tabloid, which seemed to be about a scandal involving GOP senator Ted Cruz and his wife, Heidi Cruz. Unfortunately, the cover is — literally — fake news.
