Hillary Clinton wants to play a role in next year’s midterm elections. It’s just not clear yet what that role will be. Clinton has already launched a PAC aimed at helping congressional Democratic candidates in 2018, signaling the former first lady, senator and secretary of State is ready to help her party with fundraising. She also is looking at the House districts she won in last year’s presidential contest against Donald Trump as part of an autopsy of her failed campaign, according to two sources who have spoken to the former Secretary of State. It’s at least possible she’ll lend

...considering how hard she worked for the presidency,(NOT), I´d say bring her on out...

...the fear that some voters had for Trump is fading away as they see the results. By midterms, a "course correction" may not be desired by the majority...

...to be reminded of the bullet we missed, may be the best thing for the country...

I am torn between two responses.

"Get thee to a nunnery, go!" from Hamlet. I´m not certain that a worthy nunnery would accept her.
or
"Begone, foul dwimmerlaik, lord of carrion! ". Which seems a more appropriate way of speaking to a Nazgûl. Come to think of it, Hillary has much in common with the Nazgûl!

This is too funny. She is raising money to give to other people. Not a chance. She will give herself at least 9 out of every 10 collected. She always lines her pockets first. Did they ever find the 6 billion dollars missing from the State Dept. on her watch? Nah, I didn´t think so.

Just as conservative values are more conducive to lasting happiness, and promote a deeper sense of satisfaction and well-being, it appears that our best places to live thrive in a conservative ethos. Money Magazine just published its 2017 rankings of the Best Places to Live. The magazine lists 100 places meeting these criteria: "[W]e looked only at places with populations between 10,000 and 100,000. We eliminated any place that had more than double the national crime risk, less than 85% of its state´s median household income, or a lack of ethnic diversity." Monday’s CNN exclusive detailing that former Donald Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was wiretapped by the government is a bombshell that raises many questions about the motives and method of such surveillance. We know that Manafort has reportedly been the focus of Robert Mueller’s investigation for some time, including details of a dawn raid reported in the New York Times. What is less clear is the exact nature of this wiretap, the time period that it was running on Manafort, the justification by which it was restarted after a reported gap, and the identities of others—including potentially the then-president-elect

If you had plans for the weekend, a Christian numerologist says you won’t get to them because the world is about to end. David Meade, a self-proclaimed “researcher,” is predicting that a series of apocalyptic events will begin on Sept. 23 and, “a major part of the world will not be the same.” According to Meade, the mysterious rogue planet Nibiru, also known as Planet X, is on a collision course with Earth, which will bring world-ending tsunamis and earthquakes. The numerologist claims the dates of recent events like the Great American Solar Eclipse and Hurricane Harvey’s flooding of Texas were all marked in the Bible.

U.S. prosecutors on Wednesday sought a prison sentence of 21 to 27 months for former U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner, who admitted to sending sexually explicit messages to a teenage girl in a "sexting" scandal that played a role in last year’s U.S. presidential election. "Weiner, a grown man, a father, and a former lawmaker, willfully and knowingly asked a 15-year-old girl to display her body and engage in sexually explicit conduct for him online," prosecutors said in a filing in Manhattan federal court. "Such conduct warrants a meaningful sentence of incarceration." A lawyer for Weiner, who is scheduled to be sentenced

Hillary Clinton’s political group, “Onward Together,” sent out a fundraising email on Wednesday discussing Clinton’s gardening activities with her granddaughter and informing supporters that Clinton’s mood is “pretty concerned” but “okay.” The email, ostensibly from Clinton, explains that people keep asking her how she is doing “over and over again.” “I’m pretty concerned” “as an American,” the email says. “But as a person, I’m okay. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday that illegal immigrant parents who brought their children to the U.S. in defiance of the law “did a great thing,” giving the country an infusion of successful young people. Mrs. Pelosi’s comments strike a dissonant note from many analysts, who while saying the Dreamers are sympathetic since they had no say in the decision, say the parents do deserve blame for creating the problem. He comments came after she was shouted down by protesters earlier this week who interrupted her at an event, and demanded she do more to protect all illegal immigrants. Mrs. Pelosi, at her weekly

The paper says Mueller´s ties to the FBI and to its former director, James Comey, "make him too conflicted" to conduct the investigation. "Congress is charged with providing oversight of law enforcement and the FISA courts, and it has an obligation to investigate their role in 2016. The intelligence committees have subpoena authority and the ability to hold those who don’t cooperate in

Hillary Clinton compared herself to Revolutionary War hero Paul Revere on Tuesday, saying that she is “Paula Revere” sounding the alarm on Russian active measures during the 2016 presidential campaign. (Snip) In her interview, Clinton suggested that she has led the push to call out the Russian government and Russian president Vladimir Putin about their involvement in the U.S. election. “I am saying as clearly as I can — I feel like I’m a bit of a, you know, Paula Revere — I’m trying to sound the alarm about this,” Clinton said to a smattering of laughter and applause. Special Counsel Robert Mueller´s team is reaching back more than a decade in its investigation of Paul Manafort, a sign of the pressure Mueller is placing on President Donald Trump´s former campaign chairman. The FBI´s warrant for a July search of Manafort´s Alexandria, Virginia, home said the investigation centered on possible crimes committed as far back as January 2006, according to a source briefed on the investigation. The broad time frame is the latest indication that Mueller´s team is going well beyond Russian meddling during the campaign as part of its investigation of Trump campaign associates. Manafort,

Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” while reacting to President Donald Trump’s speech at United Nations, former White House press secretary for the Obama administration Josh Earnest said the overall speech lacked “coherence,” and Trump mocking North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un was “foolish.” Earnest said, “Having sat in the hall of the United Nations where the president of the United States delivers an address for gathered world leaders — that’s something I did for the last three years—what you know world leaders are looking for in that room is a coherent strategy for taking on the biggest challenges around the

In Federalist No. 68, his pseudonymous essay on “The Mode of Electing the President,” Alexander Hamilton wrote that the Electoral College could shield the United States “from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils.” (Snip) Hamilton and his colleagues never could have envisioned a year like 2016, when an enemy state—Russia—was able to manipulate America’s election process with stunning effectiveness. But it’s clear the national security rationale for the Electoral College is outdated and therefore it should be retired. Simply put, it enables foreign powers to more easily pierce the very shield Hamilton imagined

Climate change poses less of an immediate threat to the planet than previously thought because scientists got their modelling wrong, a new study has found. New research by British scientists reveals the world is being polluted and warming up less quickly than 10-year-old forecasts predicted, giving countries more time to get a grip on their carbon output. (Snip) The discrepancy means nations could continue emitting carbon dioxide at the current rate for another 20 years before the target was breached, instead of the three to five predicted by the previous model. “When you are talking about a budget of 1.5

Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown of California compared President Donald Trump supporters to prehistoric cave dwellers Monday during a New York climate event. Brown, an outspoken Trump critic, issued an usually harsh derision of Trump supporters after dismissing the president’s rhetoric on climate change science and U.S. policy toward North Korea as “stupid and dangerous and silly.” “They’re both kind of very similar,” Brown said. “You should check out the derivation of ‘Trump-ite’ and ‘troglodyte,’ because they both refer to people who dwell in deep, dark caves.” Brown attended the climate event, which coincided with the U.N. meeting in New York,

Hillary Clinton on Monday would not rule out the possibility of challenging the results of the 2016 presidential election, saying it’s clear the Russians influenced the outcome and that the legitimacy of President Trump’s victory could be called into question as congressional and independent probes into Russian involvement move forward. (Snip) “I wouldn’t rule it out,” she said, though she quickly admitted there’s virtually no legal path forward, and that challenging election results at this point would be unprecedented. “There are scholars, academics, who have arguments that it would be [possible], but I don’t think they’re on

President Trump disturbed some in the press after vowing in his United Nations speech to "destroy" North Korea should the country attack the U.S. In his speech, Trump referred to North Korean President Kim Jong Un as "Rocket Man" and said he was on a "suicide mission" in advancing the country´s nuclear weapons development. "The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea," he said. On Twitter, MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell said Trump "threatened to commit a war crime" by threatening North Korea.
