France to ´ban all petrol
and diesel vehicles by 2040´

Telegraph [UK], by Henry Samuel

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 7/7/2017 2:56:46 PM

France will outlaw the sale of all petrol and diesel vehicles by 2040, its new environment minister, Nicolas Hulot, has announced. It will also ban any “new project to use petrol, gas or coal”, as well as shale oil, by that date. The radical measures were unveiled at a press conference as part of French president Emmanuel Macron’s pledge to “make the planet great again”. (Snip) The French will in the meantime be offered financial incentives to scrap their polluting vehicles for clean alternatives, he said. Concretely, “the government will offer each French person a bonus to replace their diesel car dating

Comments:
The article dovetails with the article below. How do they think they are going to fuel those electric cars without coal that produces electricity? Those stupid Socialists are all insane. They know it´s a horrific idea because the government will pay to replace those cars. I hope those car companies all enjoy going through bankruptcy. The car shown in this article is as ugly as the other one. I wouldn´t get in one of them.

Climate science for dummies and the economically illiterate. Or perhaps Macron is smarter than he sounds and knows by the time 2040 rolls around, "global warming" will be floating face-down in the cesspool of history, and he´ll be out of office, so why not toss this red meat to the nincompoop contingent who got him elected?

What are they going to do with all the horse manure when the populace has reverted to horse and buggy?? Because without fossil or nuclear fuels there won´t be any electricity to power those electric buggies......Are French farmers going to plow fields with electric tractors?? How are the French going to get food to market without diesel cargo trucks??

Is the French army going to fight with electric tanks?? How about jet fuel for planes and French navy ships??

Is this also going to limit the distance you can travel by your own vehicle? Its about 120 mile to the coast from Paris, and an average electric vehicle will travel about 125 miles on a charge......so the entire country is going to publically install state owned charging station feeding off the nuclear plants...yeah right in 2050....more like 2140......oh I get it, it a ploy to control how you travel via public transportation systems.....imagine the cost to increase that capability. If you want people to switch...make it better then what they got and cost the same or less.

Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” while reacting to President Donald Trump’s speech at United Nations, former White House press secretary for the Obama administration Josh Earnest said the overall speech lacked “coherence,” and Trump mocking North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un was “foolish.” Earnest said, “Having sat in the hall of the United Nations where the president of the United States delivers an address for gathered world leaders — that’s something I did for the last three years—what you know world leaders are looking for in that room is a coherent strategy for taking on the biggest challenges around the

In Federalist No. 68, his pseudonymous essay on “The Mode of Electing the President,” Alexander Hamilton wrote that the Electoral College could shield the United States “from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils.” (Snip) Hamilton and his colleagues never could have envisioned a year like 2016, when an enemy state—Russia—was able to manipulate America’s election process with stunning effectiveness. But it’s clear the national security rationale for the Electoral College is outdated and therefore it should be retired. Simply put, it enables foreign powers to more easily pierce the very shield Hamilton imagined

Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown of California compared President Donald Trump supporters to prehistoric cave dwellers Monday during a New York climate event. Brown, an outspoken Trump critic, issued an usually harsh derision of Trump supporters after dismissing the president’s rhetoric on climate change science and U.S. policy toward North Korea as “stupid and dangerous and silly.” “They’re both kind of very similar,” Brown said. “You should check out the derivation of ‘Trump-ite’ and ‘troglodyte,’ because they both refer to people who dwell in deep, dark caves.” Brown attended the climate event, which coincided with the U.N. meeting in New York,

U2 frontman Bono unloaded on President Donald Trump in a Rolling Stone interview published Wednesday, revealing that his Irish rock band’s new album will take on the “bully on the bully pulpit” because “silence is not an option.” In January, U2 founding guitarist The Edge revealed that “Songs of Experience,” the band’s follow-up to its platinum-selling 2014 album “Songs of Innocence,” was delayed because of Trump’s election. Now Bono says “there’s a couple of reasons why we delayed Songs of Experience. One personal, one political.” “The world around us was certainly changing out of all recognition, we nearly lost the

Hillary Clinton said First Lady Melania Trump isn’t doing enough to tackle cyberbullying. “No, no and, look, I don´t think anybody is doing enough on cyberbullying,” Clinton told Mic when asked if she thought Trump had enforced her platform. Trump condemned cyberbullying in her first United Nations speech in New York City on Wednesday. “We must come together for the good of our children,” she said. “Therefore, we must teach each child the values of empathy and communication that are at the core of kindness, mindfulness, integrity and leadership, which can only be taught by example.”

A new fifth grade teacher at Canopy Oaks Elementary is asking students to use gender-neutral pronouns in the classroom. Math and science teacher Chloe Bressack sent the request home in a letter to parents headlined "About Mx. Bressack." “... my pronouns are ´they, them, their´ instead of ´he, his, she, hers.´ I know it takes some practice for it to feel natural,” the letter reads, “but students catch on pretty quickly.” The letter also asks that students use “Mx.," (pronounced ´Mix´) when addressing the teacher rather than Mr. or Ms. The note alarmed some parents.
