The Independent ran a story about it headlined, “CNN taunts Trump on July 4 with Abraham Lincoln quote on facts: The post did not mention the President, but it was obvious who it was directed at.” Critic and playwright Terry Teachout had a funny feeling about the quote. On Monday, Fox News contributor and former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) appeared on “Fox & Friends,” where the topic turned to the big news of the morning: Jared Kushner´s written statement to the Senate. Chaffetz expressed frustration with Kushner and Donald Trump Jr. being called to speak to the Senate Intelligence Committee, arguing a double standard. “Republicans need to get a backbone,” he began. “Every time the Democrats say they need to call up Jared Kushner or Donald Trump Jr., then call up Chelsea Clinton. According the June Federal Election Commission report, in addition to adding to their growing debt, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) fell behind the Republican National Committee (RNC) in monthly fundraising. Adding on to their recent pattern of historically low fundraising efforts, the DNC raised $5.5 million in the month of June, almost $8 million less than the $13.5 million raised by the RNC. After spending $5.7 million in the month of June, the DNC has $7.5 million on hand compared to the RNC, who spent $10.6 million in June and has $44.7 million on hand. The DNC, which is prepping

Rudy Giuliani said Monday afternoon he’s not trying to get Jeff Sessions’ job — and that the attorney general made the right decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation. “I thought it was the correct decision under the Justice Department regulations,” the former mayor told The Post. “I thought he consulted with the ethics counsel and he made the right decision. I have told the president that.” Giuliani’s comments contradict a report Monday morning claiming President Trump is considering dumping Sessions and replacing him with the former Big Apple mayor — and depart from Trump’s own condemnation of Sessions’

Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.) has done 123 national television interviews totaling more than 14 hours of air time since January, according to a White House tracking report. The report comes on the heels of President Donald Trump attacking Schiff on Monday for his frequent TV appearances. The vast majority of them have been on cable networks CNN and MSNBC, although Schiff has also done interviews on Fox News, ABC, CBS, NBC, Comedy Central, and HBO. Trump tweeted, "Sleazy Adam Schiff, the totally biased Congressman looking into "Russia," spends all of his time on television pushing the Dem loss excuse!"

Newly minted White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci just hinted that press briefings might change something reporters have been complaining about for months. Under Sean Spicer´s leadership as press secretary, White House press briefings moved away from video coverage, but Scaramucci said that cameras will be coming back. Scaramucci said he favored televised briefings on CNN Sunday, and Monday he suggested that the President Donald Trump will allow it. "If you’re asking me for my personal opinion—and maybe the president will be upset for giving my personal—we should put the cameras on," Scaramucci told Jake Tapper Sunday. "That’s no problem."

His stand for social justice by taking a knee during the national anthem last season as a member of the San Francisco 49ers has left him sitting on his couch as NFL training camps commence this week. On June 28th, President Trump convened a roundtable at the White House that included victims of crimes committed by undocumented immigrants. The event was part of the Administration’s push to pass several new immigration bills designed to, in Trump’s words, “close the dangerous loopholes exploited by criminals, gang members, drug dealers, killers, terrorists.” A regular theme of the Trump Administration’s messaging on immigration has been to present undocumented “bad hombres” as an immediate threat to the safety and cohesion of the American family unit. But some of Trump’s immigration policies, in themselves, have endangered families across America. The stories below,
