It’s a funny thing how none of President Trump’s critics and haters, particularly the putatively smart observers in the press, ever get what he is doing. He’s a step ahead of them and he’s outwitting them, even as they preach to him from what they think is a perch at least twenty IQ points above his. But as Trump said Saturday night at a gathering of veterans in Washington, the media are in fact looking up to him as he stands upon on the presidential bully pulpit. “I’m president and they’re not,” he noted. There is a method to President Trump’s madness,

He keeps them constantly off balance and confused. Part of the reason is they always underestimate him. I think they really believe he is not very smart - certainly not as smart as they are! It is very dangerous to not to understand and respect your opponents capabilities. But liberals are not smart enough to realize that.
A comment below the article that is worth repeating:
I somewhat disagree with your assessment of “conservatives who were outraged that Barack Obama had his feet up on the desk in the Oval Office but who somehow think [Trump’s wrestling video] is acceptable.” Your contrast lacks the temporal context that defines it: Obama put his feet on the desk at a time when George Bush had most recently exemplified “presidential,” so it was shocking. Eight years later, the standard of what is considered “presidential” is based on Obama’s disrespectful, divisive and deceptive example. So, to me, Trump’s tweets are tame by comparison. As someone clever noted, “We all know the president likes to yell at the television.” So we Trump supporters are judging him by his actions, and he’s keeping his promises. Amazing. I love the man.
I see some who "like him but… “ Always poking and prodding, trying to change this or that, the way some women are accused of treating their husbands.
Let me get this straight. Trumps faux CNN video showing him defeating the host is bad, BUT a Shakespeare play in Central Park showing the murder of Trump, the President of the United States, is Art and Freedom of Speech?
Right, #7! These people also whine that the tweet could influence people to attack people in the news media.
So, if they are sincere, they ought to have vigorously condemned the dangerous and threatening leftist rendition of Julius Casear and what´s-her-name´s beheading video. But they didn´t... NOT EVEN AFTER the attempted mass assassination by a virulent leftist, which gravely wounded Congressman Scalise.
For my part, however, i do not like the kind of tweets that goad the bull, or are "boob bait for the bubbas" (who happen to be in the Left in general and media in particular) BECAUSE they distract from the truly great accomplisments being made by POTUS and his Government.
For the entire week and still the media dolts are blabbing about that Joe and Mika tweet.
The left are deranged fools, so I have no problem with Trump trolling them. They deserve it (and worse). But it´s not clear that this serves any purpose. Trump has been successful in some of the things he´s done in office, but not in others. I´m not complaining because he´s light years better than crooked Hillary, who would have turned the country into a third world hellhole.
FTA: I am concerned that the next people who will go subdermal on Trump are Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, should he still be alive.
Scant chance of that ever happening! Trump is a counter-puncher, how likely is it that true politicians such as Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping or even ideologue Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi will taunt Trump for having "teensy" hands or an orange complexion?? He only tweets about those who insult him in a personal manner.
I´ve never put much stock in publicly stated impressions of a celebrity´s IQ, mostly because the people who make those pronouncements are very biased, but I do think President Trump has a very high EQ (emotional quotient)...he is able to "read" other people very well and has an instinct for knowing who will respond to flattery and who needs to be knocked down a few notches.
Why did KK even bother to write this. His attempt at faint praise falls far short of the liberal standard. His subulty is so subtle, he has to tell the reader what he is doing. Obviously, he thinks his IQ is 20 points higher than Trump. Based on this article, it is 20 points lower.
I´m really getting a kick out of the press and its cluelessness. It so reminds me of the atomic situp. Trump is the set up guy with the blindfold showing the mark how it´s impossible to do a situp blindfolded. The mark demands to show everyone that he can easily do a situp with his eyes blindfolded so he takes the situp position, ties the blindfold tight and sits up right into the public´s waiting naked backside. The incredible thing is that after they do it and make complete fools of themselves, they demand to try it again to demonstrate their fantastic abilities.
Trump just continues to get them to do atomic situps over and over and over again, I guess in hopes that they will someday realize they are fidiots. Sadly though, that´s never going to happen but it is getting pretty funny watching them "prove" that they can do an atomic situp. Yes, they can and please do another one.
Only a few questions that matter: does he get the job done? Is he keeping his campaign promises? Is he working hard for the American people? Is he reversing the horrors visited on the country by the august Fauxbama?
The author speaks with forked tongue. This Independence Day is the time to board the Trump Train and help rescue our nation from Cultural Marxism, the New World Order, Globalism, and Social Justice Warriors. But I repeat myself.
Trump´s tweets are to throw the media off their game. When they are getting ready to attack a policy position and legislation like immigration, he throws out a personal attack which throws all the media into a tizzy and completely gets them off message. This allows him to work on things and push through policy with no interference from the press. Think about it - spend 5 minutes sending out a tweet which requires no thought or effort, to send the media running in all directions and to distract them from what they had been working on. Brilliant!
The godless enemedia probably have no awareness of their Biblical situation; they are obsessing over the sliver in Trump’s eye while completely ignoring the 2x4 in their own. Koffler sees Trump’s tweets serve a purpose but still clucks about them as if “boorishness” was new. What is new and upsetting is that the tweets are directed at the enemedia. Trump is conducting business with the coin of the realm. Bullies always hate it when the victim picks up the rock and throws it back.
#8 “For my part, however, I do not like the kind of tweets that goad the bull … BECAUSE they distract from the truly great accomplishments being made by POTUS and his Government.”
Gentle Ldotter, you rightly recognize that Trump’s tweets distract from his accomplishments receiving wider reporting. However, that’s the feature not a bug. Be assured that President Trump is not thin-skinned, nor are these tweets reflexive responses to bruised ego. His messages are carefully crafted Progressive “triggers” designed to keep them distracted and serve two different purposes; the first is to shatter their credibility and the second is to keep them from reporting the implementation of the MAGA agenda.
It is crucial that the foundations of MAGA be laid and the cement cured before the average Lefty has any idea what has happened. Would you prefer the enemedia to be mounting a sustained opposition and whipping up the masses with the details of oil drilling on federal lands, the resurrection of the coal industry, the roll-back of EPA regulations, and our military being unleashed? Trump is a genius. Trust him. Take a step back and don’t get caught up in the daily soap opera and instead witness an enemy in chaos.
The theatrical left media loves to consider itself totally in charge of, ´writing the script,´ according to their PC agenda using demeaning labels & bogus stereotypes regardless of reality. -They think we don´t notice?! ...Increasingly even the dems´ ´news,´ media sifts anything from their reports which they deem out of sync with their pre-fabricated scenarios. They even brag about their presumed power.
Funny thing is, the public already knew about the sift & spin which media routinely dishes out and finally we see a courageous President who is actually confronting the press and holding them accountable for their theatrical productions by calling them out about their sloppy, deceptive reporting. ...´It´s a very good thing.´
SAN DIEGO — Officials in San Diego County have declared a public health emergency due to the spread of the liver disease hepatitis A. Infections have killed 15 people and hospitalized nearly 400 more, with the homeless population hit hardest since the outbreak started last November. The Union-Tribune reports that Friday’s emergency declaration helps the county request state assistance and gives legal protection for new sanitation measures. Those measures include about 40 portable hand-washing stations for areas with concentrations of homeless. The virus lives in human feces and spreads if people who have used the bathroom don’t properly clean their hands. Crews also plan
Senate investigators have had problems getting the FBI to reveal information about the Trump dossier. They´re not the only ones. Outside groups filing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests are running up against a stone wall when it comes to the dossier. On March 8, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA request for documents regarding the bureau´s contacts with Christopher Steele, the former British spy who dug for dirt in Russia on candidate Donald Trump in the months before the 2016 presidential election. Steele´s effort was commissioned by the oppo research firm Fusion GPS, which at the time was being paid by
Gospel singers broke out in song at a Texas convention center on Tuesday night as the performers tried to lift spirits after thousands were evacuated from their homes during Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey. Victoria White, along with Marquist Taylor and several others, sang to evacuees at the Lone Star Expo Center in Conroe, Texas, north of Houston. Massive flooding from Harvey forced thousands of rescues that overwhelmed emergency responders as convention centers, churches and even mattress stores opened their doors to people needing shelter during the storm.
A Staten Island congressman wants an iconic statue of Christopher Columbus relocated to federal park land in his borough if the city takes it down in Manhattan in a frenzy of political correctness. “Christopher Columbus is a permanent fixture of our national history. Rarely can we trace the wheels of progress over 500 years back to the actions of a single person,” said Rep. Dan Donovan (R-SI/Brooklyn). “If a radical group bent on sanitizing history doesn’t want the statue at Columbus Circle anymore, Staten Island will gladly accept it.” Donovan said he’s making a direct appeal to Mayor de Blasio. The Columbus statue will
Confronted with a West Wing that treated policymaking as a free-for-all, President Donald Trump’s chief of staff, John Kelly, is instituting a system used by previous administrations to limit internal competition — and to make himself the last word on the material that crosses the president’s desk. It’s a quiet effort to make Trump conform to White House decision-making norms he’s flouted without making him feel shackled or out of the loop. In a conference call last week, Kelly initiated a new policymaking process in which just he and one other aide — White House staff secretary Rob Porter, a little-known
The Trump dossier is one of the most important and least understood elements of the Trump-Russia affair. It is important not just because its allegations are, as former FBI director James Comey said, "salacious and unverified," but because it 1) Appeared to offer evidence for some of the most sensational accusations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russians; 2) Involved a pro-Clinton organization paying investigators who paid Kremlin-linked Russians for allegations about Trump; and 3) Set Comey and Trump on a collision course when Comey chose to brief Trump about the dossier in a one-on-one meeting when Trump was president-elect.
WASHINGTON — President Trump’s skepticism about America’s involvement in Afghanistan was no secret to his staff. But his top national security officials were still taken aback at a meeting in the Situation Room on July 19, when an angry Mr. Trump began ripping apart their latest proposal to send thousands of additional American troops to the country. “We’re losing,” the president declared, according to a person who was in the room. The plan, he complained, was vague and open-ended, with no definition of victory. “What does success look like?” he asked. The day before that meeting, Mr. Trump had invited four soldiers
House Speaker Paul Ryan joined CNN´s Jake Tapper for a nationally-televised town hall in Ryan´s Wisconsin district Monday night. CNN picked the questioners and the questions, promising to cover a range of topics of concern to Ryan´s constituents and Americans in general. Many of those questions had a local feel, since Ryan stressed that he personally knew this or that questioner, or some member of the questioner´s family. The topics included President Trump´s plan for Afghanistan, announced minutes before the event began. There was a lot on the aftermath of Charlottesville and Trump´s statements regarding it. (One questioner, the sister of
During the presidential primaries and general election, there was no doubt where Donald Trump stood on the war in Iraq. "A big, fat mistake," Trump said of the Iraq invasion at a GOP debate in South Carolina in February 2016. "We should have never been in Iraq. We have destabilized the Middle East." How to Deal With Criticism Watch Full Screen Trump said similar things many other times in the campaign -- even after he didn´t have Jeb Bush, who was standing next to him that night in South Carolina, to kick around any more. Trump also made more general statements suggesting skepticism toward
If the media and progressives were honest with themselves and the public, they would admit that the left has wanted a “Charlottesville” for a long time. It was the perfect opportunity to battle “alt-right” white-supremacist-Nazis while furnishing a powerful optic to conflate racism with conservatism. It also aptly fits the meme that all conservatives, by dint of disagreeing with the tenets of liberalism, are in essence, racists as well. In his latest response to the riots, President Trump tried to separate the term “alt-right” from the Nazis and white supremacists present at the Unite the Right rally. Leftists, liberals, Democrats, progressives, and
Perhaps the most astonishing thing about Donald Trump´s victory last November was that, according to exit polls, 60 percent of the voters had an unfavorable impression of Trump on the day he was elected president of the United States. Now, it´s remarkable that after all that has happened, Trump´s favorable and unfavorable rating -- not his job approval, but whether people hold a favorable or unfavorable view of him -- is virtually the same as it was on election day. A new Marist poll, released Wednesday, found that 60 percent of those surveyed have an unfavorable view of the president, versus
WASHINGTON — President Trump’s personal lawyer on Wednesday forwarded an email to conservative journalists, government officials and friends that echoed secessionist Civil War propaganda and declared that the group Black Lives Matter “has been totally infiltrated by terrorist groups.” The email forwarded by John Dowd, who is leading the president’s legal team, painted the Confederate general Robert E. Lee in glowing terms and equated the South’s rebellion to that of the American Revolution against England. Its subject line — “The Information that Validates President Trump on Charlottesville” — was a reference to comments Mr. Trump made earlier this week in the
It cannot be overstated how eagerly the Democrats want to take back the White House in 2020. The Democrats face many obstacles in this effort, but the greatest threat is the fierce internal divisions within the party. Two of the leading prospective presidential candidates, Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), have begun national fundraising operations. Former Vice President Joe Biden has been busy building a national email list to communicate directly with his supporters, and Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) has already announced his presidential candidacy. The Democratic Party does not just need a new leader, but a new
Sexual harassment investigations at Fox News had on-air hosts coming and going on Friday. The network has cut loose Eric Bolling, who was suspended on Aug. 5, and has also canceled his daily program “Fox News Specialists.” The law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, investigated allegations that Bolling used his cellphone to send unsolicited photos of male genitalia to current and former female colleagues at the network. The firm has been handling harassment claims at the 21st Century Fox unit. “Fox News Channel is canceling the ‘Specialists,’ and Eric Bolling and Fox have agreed to part ways amicably,” a Fox News
On the same day that Fox News announced that it had “agreed to part ways amicably” with suspended conservative host Eric Bolling, Bolling’s son Eric, Jr. was found dead in Boulder, Colorado. (snip) A strange anomaly in this story is that Yashar Ali, the HuffPost freelancer who wrote the August 4 article alleging that Eric Bolling was guilty of inappropriate behavior years earlier, claims to have been the first one to break the news of Chase Bolling’s death. For example, in a HuffPost article on September 9 time stamped 2:31 P.M. E.T., Hayley Miller writes “Yashar Ali, the HuffPost freelancer
Keep these numbers in mind: 316 to 90 and 80 to 17. They were the lopsided votes in the House and Senate in support of the deal President Trump made with Democratic leaders on storm aid, the debt limit and government funding. Remarkably, all the no voters were Republicans. The numbers shout that we are witnessing a potential turning point in the Trump presidency, one that could further shake up Washington and rattle the calcified political parties. Frustrated by the failure of GOP majorities in both chambers to pass his agenda, Trump followed through on threats to work with Democrats. Signs suggest it was
The news that President Trump abandoned Republicans to strike a deal with congressional Democrats on a three-month extension of the debt limit yielded a predictable response from his predictable cheerleaders: It was brilliant and typically shrewd for the author of “The Art of the Deal” to take the very first offer the Democrats made and ask for nothing in return. Less obsequious observers on the right claimed this was the long-prophesied moment. The seventh seal had been broken. Donald Trump was “pivoting” at last. “The pivot is real and it’s spectacular!” proclaimed Ben Domenech, the publisher of The Federalist. In the lexicon
Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said in an interview broadcast Sunday that while she is "done" being a candidate, she is not leaving politics. "Is your political career over?" Jane Pauley asked Clinton on "CBS Sunday Morning." "Yes," Clinton responded. "As an active politician, it´s over. "I am done with being a candidate," she added. "But I am not done with politics, because I literally believe that our country´s future is at stake." Clinton´s comments come days before the release her new book, "What Happened," which accounts her experience in the 2016 presidential election. The former Democratic nominee reflects
Yashar Ali reported Saturday that, Eric Bolling’s Son, Eric Chase, died last night. At this time the circumstances remain unclear. Chase, was 19 years old and Bolling’s only child. “Very sad news, Eric Bolling’s son, who was only 19, died last night,” said Ali. “By all accounts, Eric was incredibly devoted to his son. Heartbreaking.” (Snip) A source close to Eric Bolling also confirmed the news to Mediaite. A statement from Fox News is expected soon. Eric Bolling had been a rising star at Fox News, where he had hosted the now canceled television program, The Specialists and was a regular
A lawyer in Texas who disagrees with the Trump administration’s plan to reform how accusations of of sexual assault are adjudicated on campus said he would “be ok” if Education Secretary Betsy DeVos were sexually assaulted. Rob Ranco, a partner at the Carlson Law Firm, suggested Mrs. DeVos does not fully grasp how serious of a crime rape is, and that she might come to a different policy conclusion if she did. “I’m not wishing for it… but I’d be ok if #BetsyDevos was sexually assaulted,” Mr. Ranco said in a tweet on Friday evening. “Perhaps Betsy doesn’t understand how
Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sat down with Jane Pauley on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’ and gave her first T.V. interview since the 2016 presidential election. Hillary spoke about her new memoir ‘What Happened’ which is set to release September 12. (Photo) Not only did Hillary Clinton blame Comey for her election loss when he decided to re-open the FBI investigation eleven days before the election, she doubled down on her ‘Deplorable’ insult to Trump supporters. Hillary reacted to a clip of herself from September 9, 2016 saying, “You could put half of Trump supporters into what I call the ‘basket
President Trump´s administration has sided with a Christian baker who refused to make a gay couple´s wedding cake because he claimed their marriage went against his religious beliefs. Forcing Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Denver, to bake a wedding cake for two men would be a violation of his constitutional rights, the Department of Justice declared on Thursday. The baker is challenging a Colorado law that says he was wrong to have turned away Charlie Craig and David Mullins, who wanted a cake to celebrate their nuptials in 2012. Phillips refused because his religion does not support
Fraud is rampant and “huge” for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, a former official with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency alleges. Under DACA, nearly 800,000 illegal aliens were given temporary protected status and work permits to remain in the United States. Experts have told Breitbart Texas that during the Obama Administration, background screening was lax. In an interview with LifeZette, former USCIS manager of the agency’s investigative unit, Matt O’Brien, alleged that the fraud rate for DACA is roughly “40 to 50 percent” and potentially even “higher”: “Based on what I had seen and what I
Hillary Clinton’s continued obsession with inflicting herself upon a public that told her to go away almost a year ago is now giving agita to those who used to be close to her. According to Politico, the Democrats are sweating her impending book tour. President Donald Trump may be the only person in politics truly excited about Hillary Clinton’s book tour. Democratic operatives can’t stand the thought of her picking the scabs of 2016, again — the Bernie Sanders divide, the Jim Comey complaints, the casting blame on Barack Obama for not speaking out more on Russia. Alums of her Brooklyn headquarters who
