Some subways are literally
held together with zip ties

New York Post, by Danielle Furfaro

At more than $1 million per subway car, you’d think they’d be held together with something more than zip ties. A savvy straphanger noticed a homespun addition to her 7 train Wednesday morning when she saw part of the car fastened with zip ties. “Zip ties used on the undercarriage of a #7train..is this standard?” tweeted MsJaya_B. “How often are these checked for wear and tear?” With all the problems the MTA has had recently, writers can hardly be blamed for thinking the worst.

Used properly, zip ties perform rather well. Don´t exceed capacity and they will be fine. You really don´t want to know how widespread their usage is.

I suspect zip ties are easier to find in New York than bailing wire. Come to think of it how many city people know what bailing wire is used for?

CNN reported Monday that Hillary Clinton’s pastor Rev. Clinton wrote the foreward to the book and is featured on the cover. CNN initially published a portion of the book which was a November 9th email Shillady had sent to Clinton with the title, "Sunday is Coming." Rev. The crimes of Jack the Ripper make up one of the most famous unsolved murder cases of all time. Now, nearly 130 years after those gruesome murders cast a shadow over London, researchers believe they’ve uncovered the identity of their perpetrator. As the Telegraph reports, the claim is based on evidence from a diary that belonged to a Liverpool cotton salesman named James Maybrick in the late 19th century. In the diary, Maybrick describes killing six women—five in London’s East End where the Ripper´s historic murders occurred and one in Manchester. He signed the 9000-word volume: "I give my name that
