Hillary: Treatment of Libraries in Trump
Budget ‘Like Something Out of Fahrenheit 451’

Breitbart Video, by Ian Hanchett

During a speech at the American Library Association’s convention on Tuesday, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton compared the treatment of libraries in Trump administration’s budget to Ray Bradbury’s novel “Fahrenheit 451.” Hillary said, “I believe that libraries and democracy go hand in hand. That’s why it’s so hard to believe that in 2017 in America, libraries are actually under attack from our own government. I’m told that even here at this conference, some of you have had to duck out of sessions to call Congress and urge them not to eliminate federal funding for libraries. The administration has proposed

Poor Hillary, she has come down in the world. What could the ALA pay her for her speech? Very little by her standards.

Totally new topic (to me at least).

If Washington funds local libraries it won´t be long until they will decide what books and material can be in those libraries. And the signs on the restroom doors.

Are minority authors sufficient represented? Sanctuary Libraries?

How many librarians will renounce their citizenship if funding is reduced?

FEDERAL funding for libraries? Why can´t communities fund their own darn libraries?

And the PIAPS would fund libraries, but she wouldn´t permit coal miners to earn a living.

This is the big issue now. The one we have been waiting for. This is the issue the libs can rally around.

Here is what I think about libraries. I don´t like to pay a fine if I am late returning a book. My word is my bond. I said I would return it and I did. Here is my 5 cents for being a day late. Don´t spend it all in one place.

Speaking of "Fahrenheit 451" if sounds like Hillary has been out in the woods too long. I think she has a fever and should come inside and lay down for a while.

Then Hillary can dream...there´s no place better than being president..in fact,I am the president...I am the president.

Of course Hillary will defend libraries, both public and private. They can be holding tanks for treasure troves of secret documents. When Judicial Watch recently requested release of Susan Rice´s documents under the FOIA, those records were quickly transferred to the OBAMA Library. Once there, they fell under the protective cover of the Presidential Records Act which essentially assures that presidential records remain closed to the public for five years after an administration has left office.
Ahhh. Hillary hearts libraries. Especially private Presidential libraries.

And this is not just a reaction to the recent publication of Hillary Clinton´s new book What Happened in which Mrs. Clinton apparently details precisely the opposite, blaming everyone and everything for her defeat from Bernie Sanders to the "late eclipses of the sun and moon," except for herself. I say "apparently" because I am less likely actually to read her book

The country’s voting machines are susceptible to hacking, which could be done in a way so that it leaves no fingerprints, making it impossible to know whether the outcome was changed, computer experts told President Trump’s voter integrity commission Tuesday. The testimony marked a departure for the commission, which was formed to look into fraud and barriers to voting, but which heard that a potentially greater threat to confidence in American elections is the chance for enemy actors to meddle. “There’s no perfect security; there’s only degrees of insecurity,” said Ronald Rivest, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mayor de Blasio cruised to an easy victory in the Democratic primary on Tuesday — trouncing little-known former City Council member Sal Albanese and other long-shot hopefuls in a race that was never competitive. Nearly a year after she lost the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton is promoting a book about how her defeat is everyone else´s fault. So much, so familiar. What´s striking is that even though she has barely begun her book tour, Clinton has already given the game away, reverting to her self-pitying idea that half her countrymen are "irredeemable" and "deplorable." Remember that riff she got into at a 2016 private fundraiser? No? Well here it is, to freshen your recollection. You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump´s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables.

What Happened, which covers the former Secretary of State´s unsuccessful election campaign against Donald Trump, was published on Tuesday. Clinton and her publisher Simon & Schuster claimed the book would offer a candid account of her failure and her own reflection on it.  Reviews of What Happened have been mixed, with some suggesting it Clinton uses it as an opportunity to blame others – such as Bernie Sanders and Vladimir Putin – for her failure, rather than herself.
