Buffett’s Vice Chair – Al Gore Is ‘An

Al Gore is ‘an idiot’ who only made his vast fortune just because he happened to get lucky by obsessing about climate change. Possibly we’d all guessed this already. Now it has been confirmed by an expert in the field of finance – Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman and fellow investment billionaire Charlie Munger. Munger, who was speaking at an informal investors’ Q & A – recorded here – clearly does not rate Gore’s intelligence or investment acumen. “Al Gore has come into you fellas business, Munger said. “He has made $3 or $400 million in your business. Gore was a divinity school dropout after one semester, and a law school dropout after one semester. Fortunately, he had his daddy´s name to run on, even though daddy was somewhat ´corrupt´ and anti-black. (Little Al turned daddy into a civil rights champion, which was an amazing lie.)

It´s his manner of speaking ....like a 2nd grade teacher...that galls me the most.
It´s a leftist habit (Trick) that divides the world into those who agree and those who are to hopelessly stupid to understand.

In this way honest debate is never engaged....only sympathy for the sub-humans who fail to get on board.

This is why liberals hate capitalism. They get their fortunes by some kind of con game and think that every body else does it like that as well. They are actually hating themselves.

In most enterprises you don´t have to be lucky you just have to be first. Ask Bill Gates, Zuckerberg, Ben & Jerry and Bezos about that.

Gore´s original books and films were written at a second grade level and were bought by first graders who were convinced after a few pages that the sky was indeed falling.

Warren Buffett´s partner Charlie Munger is not a yellow dog Democrat. Buffett is. It has always amazed me how an investor as smart as Buffett could have been as stupid politically as he has been. It probably had something to do with his years at Columbia U. Obama went there, too.

Whatever, Gore is a ignorant Green demagogue who has become inordinately wealthy on his government contacts, something no one ought to be able to do. In my book Gore, Harry Reid, LBJ, and others like them are, essentially, thieves who´ve gamed the system. They produce nothing of value, yet the money floods in.

Munger has pegged Gore, who ought to become America´s arch pariah after his dishonest post-2001 career. There could be no worse "public servant" than Gore, who´s as greedy and as mendacious as anyone you´ll ever find.

Delingpole concludes thus: This augurs very well for those of us who are hoping that the Enron-style Potemkin industry that is the renewables sector collapses very soon.

Yep. There is no good economic reason for the renewables (biofuels, especially ethanol) to exist. Political pressure keeping the sector afloat is great, but economic reality is relentless. It´s going to collapse. (Wish I knew when! Be alert.)

Any savvy investor could tell you that stocks fall much faster than they rise, and when a stock or, especially, a sector goes out of favor, it´s possible to make very profitable trades playing the downside, e.g., either going short, buying put options, or selling call options. Be nimble.

A couple of years ago some of the top solar stocks went to the bathroom after bad earnings and news. The same can and will happen to the rest of Big Green.

To #10 I would say not to disrespect Charlie Munger. He´s on our side, in spite of his partner´s thoroughgoing liberalism. I´m glad he has the gumption to speak out. He should be encouraged to do so. Gore´s policies are ruinous. Everyone should know it.

If liberals are so smart, why do they constantly fall for the scams of these hucksters? Gore, the Clintons, Obama, all con men who enrich themselves at public expense. I suppose it´s because the liberals who aren´t stupid or ignorant have a need to Feel Good about themselves. That they are saving the planet, or they are more compassionate than others. #25, to whom thanks are due, has brought up an issue that needs airing right now, something that should be on every conservative / libertarian / reasonable other´s essential political check list.

Charlie Munger´s unflinching honesty on an issue that is close to a hair trigger Left sacrament marks him as a Hall of Fame American patriot. I´m not kidding about that.

To be certain, he has a lot of underlying support, mostly silent until pivotal times like these, I pray. We shall be silent no longer. We might even use the Left´s tactics against them, Alinsky style. Would serve them right.

In this life these fashionably liberal putzes might put up a front that keeps them from being hated, in the temporal sense, by non-leftoids for being billionaires dozens of times over, but Buffett (and Bill Gates) have been weaned on a post-Rousseau / Marxist / German / Soviet mindset, and have, barely mentioning their children in their wills, consigned their riches, public sewer style, to the worst ideas of the millennium. Easy come, easy go. There should be little forgiveness without repentance for their over the waterfall gullibility. I mean, really. Are they that (deleted) dumb?

Charlie Munger won´t contribute to most of his business partner´s enthusiasms.

Enthusiasms.

Enthusiasms.

The tactics that have been used by the Left against the Right cut both ways. Saul Alinsky won´t challenge Sun Tzu fifty years from now, but in the meantime, turnabout is fair play.

When the Trump administration decided two weeks ago to halt DACA (for minor children of illegal immigrants) applications and allow six months for Congress to pass legislation that addresses the issue, a new round of political fighting was unleashed. Utilizing the constitutional process unveiled the sharp divide among Republicans concerning this issue and has shown that the leadership of the establishment are closer to the Democrats than to their electoral base. Donald Trump might still find a way to get immigration off the table as a wedge issue. The media, ever eager to damage Trump, have tried to expose this

Trump insists that slashing the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to as low as 15 percent would free up valuable cash. Almost no commentator, no reviewer, has mentioned the most newsworthy fact about Hillary Clinton´s latest memoir—which is the near total lack of anything actually newsworthy in the book. With What Happened, Clinton would at last "let down her hair," Simon & Schuster´s publicists loudly proclaimed before the book´s publication. And that was the line dutifully repeated by reporter after reporter, as though it were a fact. As though, coming from Clinton´s people, it didn´t need to be checked or reported with even the slight distancing of "Hillary Clinton says she´s let down her hair in her new book." But then,

Hemlock is defined as "a drug or lethal drink prepared from the poison hemlock" that has been used as an execution method. The 61-year-old host of CNN´s weekly food and travel series, "Parts Unknown," later told Fox

Chelsea Manning has been making quite a spectacle of himself out on Twitter, taking Michael Morrell´s and Mike Pompeo´s exit from the school as a welcome new opportunity to call attention to himself. He starts with an emoji-filled cheer at news of Morrell´s resignation from his own Harvard post based on its bad judgment in bringing him into the university to ´mentor´ students, declaring it ´good´ that Morrell has pulled out. Not a thought about how Morrell´s exit might affect Harvard, it´s all about himself and his feelings instead. Note the high emoji count, by the way - an advertisement

ST. There was no indication on the scene that Krewson was in the home at the time. Melania Trump put on an incredibly glamorous display as she joined her husband President Donald Trump in hosting a black-tie dinner at the White House. The 47-year-old looked a world away from the incredibly casual figure she had cut earlier in the day when she visited hurricane-hit areas of Florida, when she opted to wear jeans, a baggy shirt and $50 Converse sneakers, donning an $8,000 Monique Lhuillier gown for the White House Historical Association dinner and reception. Standing alongside her husband as he took to the stage to welcome guests to the decadent evening event, Melania was the picture

When Congress hauls in Equifax CEO Richard Smith to grill him, it can start by asking why he put someone with degrees in music in charge of the company’s data security. And then they might also ask him if anyone at the company has been involved in efforts to cover up Susan Mauldin’s lack of educational qualifications since the data breach became public. It would be fascinating to hear Smith try to explain both of those extraordinary items. If those events don’t put the final nails in his professional coffin, accountability in the U.S. is officially dead.
