NEW YORK— Senate Republicans are eying the possibility of seeking testimony from former Attorney General Loretta Lynch over possible wrongdoing with regard to the FBI’s criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails. On Wednesday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent a letter to Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA), the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, formally requesting that the committee probe any attempts to influence the FBI’s investigations under the Trump and Obama administrations. It is not immediately clear whether the Judiciary Committee, which oversees the Justice Department, has taken any action on the matter. A spokesman for Grassley, the

This is the woman who used her Medusa eyes to silence Comey when he brought the question up to her. The chance that our merry band of republican peacocks will challenge her is close to zero. Clinton will skate, Lynch will skate, Rice will skate and Obama will be chiseled on his own mountain, not on Rushmore with a bunch of old white guys.

Since they became a majority in the House, Senate and White House, the GOP needs reasons to fill their Depends. Loretta´s answers during the GOP kabuki dance in the Senate will help them bravely fill their Depends right on up while they fall down, roll over and go full Mr Doody in their trousers every time Loretta speaks. Gosh, how do I know that?

It´s funny how Hillary went all out to get her operatives to tweak wording, apparently believing that´s all that stood in the way of her winning the 2016 election, when in actuality her goose was already cooked. Put lipstick on a pig and it´s still a pig.

President Donald Trump thanked his former White House strategist Steve Bannon for his service after he left the administration on Friday. “I want to thank Steve Bannon for his service,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Saturday morning. “He came to the campaign during my run against Crooked Hillary Clinton – it was great! Ever since the Charlottesville protests, the Left has ramped up their crusade against Confederate monuments and street named after Confederate generals. Using their logic, they should be calling for renaming the leftist mecca of New York, whose namesake is derived from a slave trader. James formed the Royal African Company (RAC), which eventually "became the largest single company involved in the slave trade," according to a 1999 UNESCO paper. The RAC traded an average of 5,000

An internal civil war is tearing at the fabric of Fox News. The events of the past week have brought the long-simmering conflict closer to the surface. The legitimacy and viability of President Trump are under constant assault in the mainstream media as never before – and that is saying something. Fox News Channel executives, staff, and on air talent are taking sides. The future direction of the right-of-center, fair and balanced Fox News approach to presenting the news may well be in serious doubt. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) today called on House Speaker Paul Ryan (R.-Wisc.) to immediately remove “Confederate statues” from the U.S. Capitol. “If Republicans are serious about rejecting white supremacy, I call upon Speaker Ryan to join Democrats to remove the Confederate statues from the Capitol immediately,” Pelosi said in a statement. “There is no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the men of the Confederacy in the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol or in places of honor across the country,” Pelosi said. Here is the text of her full statement: “The halls of Congress are

The Republican Party´s collective response to Donald Trump´s handling of the Charlottesville race riots turned uglier on Friday. Mitt Romney, the failed 2012 GOP presidential candidate and former Massachusetts governor whom Trump has bashed relentlessly for more than two years, lashed out against him on Facebook for what he said was a hamfisted message during Tuesday´s press conference – and demanded a full-throated apology from the president. (Snip) Trump´s remoteness from the rest of the GOP has become so severe that former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, a longtime ally of the president´s, sounded a loud alarm Friday morning.

James Murdoch, the CEO of 21st Century Fox, slammed Trump´s equivocating response to the Charlottesville violence in a letter to staff on Thursday. Murdoch, who is also the son of Fox founder Rupert Murdoch - a long-time friend and ally of Trump - appeared to take umbrage with Trump´s claim that there were ´very good people´ among the white supremacists that marched in the Virginia city. ´Charlottesville and the reaction to it by the President of the United States concern[s] all of us as Americans and free people,´ he wrote, in part, according to a copy of the email obtained by The

Washington — A prominent Republican senator delivered a stinging rebuke Thursday of Donald Trump’s short time in office, declaring he has not shown the stability or competence required for an American president to succeed. Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, also said Trump “recently has not demonstrated that he understands the character of this nation.” (Snip) Trump, he said, needs “to take stock of the role that he plays in our nation and move beyond himself, move way beyond himself, and move to a place where daily he’s waking up thinking about what is best for

A House Democrat introduced a resolution on Friday suggesting that President Trump undergo a physical and mental health exam to help determine whether he is fit for office. Rep. Zoe Lofgren’s (D-Calif.) resolution specifically calls on Vice President Pence and Trump’s Cabinet members to “quickly secure the services of medical and psychiatric professionals” to “assist in their deliberations” invoking the 25th Amendment, which outlines presidential removal procedures. It posits that such an examination by doctors would “determine whether the president suffers from mental disorder or other injury that impairs his abilities and prevents him from discharging his Constitutional duties.

Monday´s solar eclipse is already tying up traffic in areas along the path of totality, or the vein of regions along the US where people can view the full eclipse. Oregonians so far are seeing the brunt of the traffic as revelers have started pouring into central Oregon, clogging roadways and draining gas supplies in rural towns, all in hopes of catching the full splendor of this once in a lifetime celestial event. The nightmare scenario for locals in the state started emerging Wednesday when traffic backed up for 12 miles on US Highway 26 as people began to set

Former Vice President Al Gore said his one piece of advice to President Trump would be to "resign" immediately. Gore made the statement in a video interview published Thursday on LAD Bible, the United Kingdom´s largest entertainment website. He was there to discuss climate change and his new documentary, "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power," which was released this month. The interviewer asked if there was "one piece of advice" for Trump, what would it be? He responded: "Resign." The interview appears to have been recorded before the premiere of Gore´s new film in the U.K. on Aug. 10. Gore´s

Colin Kaepernick may not be employed by an NFL team, but he continues to be a fixture in the NFL’s 24-hour news cycle.
