When I wrote two weeks ago about how liberals would not stop until someone got killed, I was hoping it was more of a warning than a prophecy. Unfortunately, it was not. But the actions and words of leftists in the wake of the attempted slaughter of Republican members of Congress –for the sin of not being Democrats – has done nothing to bring about the moment of reflection one might expect from people with blood on their hands. Thankfully, the only life lost was that of the progressive terrorist who sought to embody the attitude of the media and the Democratic
For decades the Left has been demanding tolerance from Conservatives - and we gave it. Now however, tolerance isn´t enough. They want us dead and gone and they say so in many, many ways every day. We´re at the end of the tether. I wonder what´s next.
The left is used to getting their way and running the show. Bi-partisanship has meant that the Democrats get their way because the Republicans have always capitulated when the Democrats became demanding or threatening. Trump stands up to them, and they don´t know how to deal with it and so are very dysfunctional as a result.
It is actually much worse than liberals vs. conservatives, etc. The progressives / left / Democrats have created a world that their minds now live in, a world that never existed before which bears no resemblance to any reality that can withstand the will to power of an advancing Islam or emergent China. We non-true believers by our very existence stand between them and their utopian vision of a God-free, man-made paradise on Earth based on the relativity of all meaning and the deconstruction of all knowledge. We are the "other" that must be assimilated as producers or destroyed, having lost any right to our individual existence in a world controlled through mob justice as directed by self-appointed, if often invisible, royalty. Mutual respect, common decency and a shared humanity exist on a road they no longer walk or recognize.
The Stoopid Party has never been too ready or willing to defend their own, or their "values" so expect them to knuckle under quickly [but quietly] in the same way Progressives attempt to appease islam.
Jim Mattis, retired Marine four-star general, was the first person President Trump nominated to his cabinet. Mattis received nearly unanimous (99 to 1) bipartisan support for his nomination. He then received an extremely rare waiver of the guidelines that exclude recently active military leaders from the position of secretary of defense. It has been more than 60 years since the last such waiver. What could create such unprecedented unity, even enthusiasm, amid the hyper-partisan political rancor of 2017? This overwhelming support goes beyond enthusiasm for his record of military competence. His sometimes shocking public statements and quiet triumphs point to
The Ecuadorian Embassy in London is situated at the end of a wide brick lane, next to the Harrods department store, in Knightsbridge. Sometimes plainclothes police officers, or vans with tinted windows, can be found outside the building. Sometimes there are throngs of people around it. Sometimes there is virtually no one, which was the case in June, 2012, when Julian Assange, the publisher of WikiLeaks, arrived, disguised as a motorcycle courier, to seek political asylum. In the five years since then, he has not set foot beyond the Embassy. Nonetheless, he has become a global influence, proving that with
Unless you´ve been hiding under your bed -- which is a strategy I´m seriously considering -- you know that there was a pretty massive riot in Charlottesville, which led to at least one death (although some outlets are saying three because a police helicopter crashed at the same time) and a whole bunch of injuries. President Trump made a statement: We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides. On many sides. It´s been going on for a long time in our country. Not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. This has been going
The American public is once again having to learn history all over again. When it comes to North Korea, Americans are having to face the prospect of a rogue nation—a human rights abuser on par with Nazi Germany—that is now armed with nuclear weapons that can strike our homeland. History reminds us we have been down this road before—whether it was with the Soviet Union building a deadly nuclear arsenal in the 1950s or China doing the same in the 1960s. The collective shock and panic you see when it comes to North Korea—and the nightmare reality that they can
When I was training to be a teacher, my mentors taught me to be tough at the outset. I learned that to be lenient, to go by compassion rather than consistency, hurts everyone. No one learns anything. The rule of law makes learning, producing, and succeeding possible. This lesson on learning and discipline illustrates the fundamental good that follows from our President enforcing our nation’s immigration laws. It is not compassionate to Americans or immigrants to allow illegal aliens to ignore our laws. The corruption rampant in Los Angeles County and throughout other major urban areas follows from the arbitrary
Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch set aside ethical norms and good judgment to take her secret, election-year meeting with former Present Bill Clinton at an Arizona airport. Her agency was investigating Clinton´s wife, Hillary, and pondering the permutations of prosecuting her as she ran for president. In doing so, she paved the way for then-FBI Director James Comey to take unprecedented decision-making power in the investigation of Hillary Clinton´s emails. She also plunged her department and the White House into a panic when a local reporter got wind of the meeting. We finally know a bit more about it, thanks to a
While left-wing activists were brawling with white supremacists in Charlottesville this weekend, another political battle was taking place in Atlanta. At Netroots Nation, an annual gathering of the nation’s progressive leaders, some Democratic lawmakers declared war against their own party’s centrists. Senator Elizabeth Warren, a likely Democratic candidate for president in 2020, proclaimed that Democrats would not be “going back to the days of welfare reform and the crime bill.” She sneered that Democrats used to tell party members to “give up, keep your heads down, be realistic, act like a grown-up, keep doing the same old same old.” But
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA | Eight years after it was proved — even more convincingly than the moon landing — that a black man can get elected president of the United States of America, we still have slow learners stuck in the past. It’s the “Obliterate History Neanderthals” versus the “I’m White and I’m Proud Brass Knuckle Draggers.” Truly, dumb and dumber — and not always in that order. The only people dumber than the Neanderthals and Brass Knuckle Draggers are the insufferably tedious referees known as the Stupid Media who shape the country as a barking mad carnival, whipping up hysteria
‘Sometimes we allow ourselves to be trapped by a certain way of doing things,” President Barack Obama said back on July 1, 2015. But re-opening the US Embassy in Cuba would show “we don’t have to be imprisoned by the past.” Well, it’s now obvious that Cuba’s government has no desire to break with the past: Several American diplomats (and at least one Canadian) have come home from Havana after losing their hearing — victims of a sonic device placed in or near their Cuban residences. Raul Castro and his minions deny all responsibility, of course, and it’s not clear that
President Trump´s national security adviser said Sunday that the violence that broke out in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend "meets the definition of terrorism." H.R. McMaster told ABC´s "This Week" that "anytime that you commit an attack against people to incite fear, it is terrorism." One person died Saturday when a car rammed into a crowd of protesters in Charlottesville as tension boiled over at a white supremacist rally. McMaster called it "a criminal act against fellow Americans. A criminal act that may have been motivated — and we´ll see what´s turned up in this investigation — by this hatred
WASHINGTON -- Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., the former Democratic National Committee chairwoman known in political circles as DWS, is knee-deep in a scandal that involves a laptop, money and possible foreign entanglements. Unlike the Trump Russian scandal, however, The Washington Post and New York Times have barely reported on the story, which has conservatives observing -- with President Donald Trump´s Twitter account concurring -- that the mainstream media have a double standard. In February, the House sergeant-at-arms yanked House computer network access for five information technology staffers who worked as shared employees for some 30 House Democrats. Capitol Police
Liberals are criticizing President Trump for belligerent language directed toward North Korea. They think he should be more diplomatic, like other presidents have been for the last 25 years. Because that worked so well, apparently. This short video clip of President Clinton announcing the 1994 deal under which North Korea agreed not to develop nuclear weapons in return for a great deal of money is a great reminder of how we got where we are now. The deal was incredibly incompetent, if you think Clinton was actually trying to prevent the North Koreans from obtaining nukes, as opposed to sweeping the
Marshawn Lynch, a runningback for the Oakland Raiders, sat and ate a banana during the national anthem on Saturday before the Raiders’ first preseason football game against the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, Arizona. Lynch did not play during the game, and the Raiders’ coach said Lynch’s actions were a “non-issue.” Although Lynch said he has been doing this for 11 years, photos and videos show he stood on many occasions for the national anthem in recent years. Lynch reportedly was not present in the locker room after the game, according to CBS Sports. However, the Raiders’ coach, Jack Del Rio, said
BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — White House officials, under siege over President Trump’s reluctance to condemn white supremacists for the weekend’s bloody rallies in Charlottesville, Va., tried to clarify his comments on Sunday, as critics in both parties intensified demands that he adopt a stronger, more unifying message. A statement on Sunday — issued more than 36 hours after the protests began — condemned “white supremacists” for the violence that led to one death. It came in an email sent to reporters in the president’s traveling press pool, and was attributed to an unnamed representative. It was not attributed directly to Mr.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), America’s largest Muslim civil rights group, is calling on state and local governments all over the United States to tear down all monuments and memorials commemorating Confederate leaders and the short-lived Confederate States of America. CAIR joined several groups asking for the removal of Confederate memorials in the wake of a “Unite the Right” white supremacist rally that turned violent over the weekend. (Snip) Nihad Awad, CAIR’s national executive director, urged state and local governments to erase every symbol and every vestige of Confederate history immediately. “A fitting response to the deadly terror attack
Former RNC chair Michael Steele says there is no other conclusion to be drawn: President Donald Trump is a racist. Speaking on the Steele & Ungar show — which airs on Sirius XM’s POTUS channel — the former RNC head blasted Trump’s response to Charlottesville. “This playing to the – it’s not even baser instincts. This is just raw, ugly, racism and hatred,” Steele said. “What, for votes? And so this is the Frankenstein monster that’s been created from a campaign that gave license to that.” Co-host Rick Ungar mentioned that a listener sent him an email asking if Steele thinks Trump
In Gainesville, Florida, workers hired by the Daughters of the Confederacy chipped away at a Confederate soldier´s statue, loaded it quietly on a truck and drove away with little fanfare. In Baltimore, Mayor Catherine Pugh said she´s ready to tear down all of her city´s Confederate statues, and the city council voted to have them destroyed. San Antonio lawmakers are looking ahead to removing a statue that many people wrongly assumed represented a famed Texas leader who died at the Alamo. Some people refused to wait. Protesters in Durham, North Carolina, used a rope to pull down the nearly century-old
If President Trump pardons former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, it “would be an official presidential endorsement of racism,” the American Civil Liberties Union said on Monday. Arpaio, now 85 years old, is famous for his tough stand on illegal immigration. He was convicted two weeks ago of criminal contempt for violating a court order instructing him to stop detaining people suspected of being in the country illegally. Fox News interviewed Trump on Sunday at his club in Bedminster, N.J. “I am seriously considering a pardon for Sheriff Arpaio,” Fox quoted the president as saying. “He has done a lot
Fox News viewers were livid after Dana Perino—long suspected to be someone, like Megyn Kelly, who cares more about the opinions of elites in New York and D.C. than Fox News’ viewers—smeared Breitbart News as a site for Nazis on Monday. It seems like the vapid Fox News host knows less about Breitbart News and the alt-right/new right than the Cuban Missile Crisis, which is saying quite a lot. Perino lashed out at President Donald Trump on The Five for allowing Nazis and the alt-right to seek “safe harbor under his wing” before adding that “the
In the Democrat radio address on Saturday, Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.), the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, declared that America “is not the land of the free and the home of the brave, where opportunity and prosperity are available to all.” Richmond said he and his fellow Democrats are “painfully aware” that America “has morphed into a country that has turned its back on too many of our families – our rural families, our blue collar families, our minority families, and especially those families working hard to escape poverty.” Richmond used his own life story to show how times
Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett said he plans to sit during the national anthem for the entire season after staying on the bench for the anthem during Seattle’s first preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Bennett said he was motivated by the events in Charlottesville and wanted to speak out on racial injustice. On Sunday, Bennett remained on the bench with a towel around his shoulder pads while the rest of his teammates stood for the anthem. “First of all I want to make sure people understand I love the military — my father was in the military,” Bennett told reporters. “I love hot dogs like any other
Hundreds of pro-Trump demonstrators and anti-Trump counter-protesters converged at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle on Sunday, resulting in several arrests and the confiscation of weapons. The rally, organized by the conservative group Patriot Prayer, came one day after violent clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left three people dead and dozens injured. Counter-protesters -- including antifa, Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), Veterans for Peace, Indivisible Seattle, Black Lives Matter, and the Freedom Socialist Party -- marched "in solidarity against hate," specifically against what they called “the bigotry, racism and violence" of the "far-right" organizers. Solidarity Against Hate counter-protesters waved communist flags,
A Chick-fil-A customer only realized she got more than she ordered after she bit into her chicken sandwich and found a dead rodent. Ellen Manfalouti, 46, took legal action last week against the fast food restaurant after she found a small rodent baked into her sandwich in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, according to Philly.com. The Holland resident is seeking $50,000 for the Nov. 25 incident. Manfalouti said that a co-worker brought the meal back to their workplace after picking it up from the Chick-fil-A drive-thru. While eating in a conference room, Manfalouti said that she noticed there was something off about the sandwich.
Mitt Romney fired back at President Trump for saying “both sides” were responsible for violence at a white supremacist rally over the weekend, claiming that the two clashing groups were more “morally different universes.” “No, not the same. One side is racist, bigoted, Nazi. The other opposes racism and bigotry. Morally different universes,” Romney tweeted Tuesday. (Tweet) Romney was responding to Trump’s comments Tuesday that “both sides” were to blame for the violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va. on Saturday. Trump drew fire for saying Saturday that "many sides" were to blame for the violence at the
