The fact is that Trump has given Netanyahu support as he has walked away from the failed policy paradigm of the Obama years. It may very well be that this week was the week that Israel and the US put to rest former president Barack Obama’s policies and positions on Israel and the Palestinians. If so, the move was made despite the best efforts of Obama’s team to convince the Trump administration to maintain them. The details of Obama’s policies and positions have been revealed in recent weeks in a series of articles published in Haaretz regarding Obama’s secretary of state John
FTA: "...despite the best efforts of Obama’s team to convince the Trump administration to maintain them." Uh we won. Remember that quote Mr. Unilateral? I´ll bet Obama doesn´t feel so smug now knowing he will be undone.
The repudiation of Obama´s policies by President Trump is why the left hates him. It is also why they are desperately trying to remove him from office on false premises. Progressives cannot allow the President to destroy the Obama agenda because it means everything the globalists have worked so hard to achieve these past eight years is gone. They were banking on Clinton putting the final nail in the coffin of this country. When DonaldTrump won, they lost and that is why they are completely unhinged. Lest we forget, the grieving and gnashing of teeth is happening in the Republican Party as well. There are committed globalists in the party who hate this President as much as any democrat . In fact, some are even in leadership positions. Donald Trump has certainly upset the applecart in Washington DC. For the good of the country and its people, may he be resoundingly successful.
Barry´s looking in the wrong direction for his legacy. It´s not in his laughably erasable Executive Actions that he argues be kept. It´s certainly not in legislation because as an instinctive autocrat, he refused to work with Congress, even refused the Dems, save his outsourcing his veto to the execrable Harry Reid, or his lying/strong-arming on behalf of ReidPelosiCare, erroneously named obamacare. No, his legacy is not to be found these places. His legacy of division and national breakdown and international chaos is indelibly writ large and evilly in the life of this nation and in the wreckage he wrought upon the Democrat Party, most notably among lost governors and State Houses.
Okay. It is s kind-of step in the right direction, for sure. But, it´s not really a pro-active step in the right direction is it? Why is President Trump playing coy on this matter? Israel is certainly not being criticised by Trump´s Administration. But, that is not exactly the same as being openly supported, either. And why was SOS Tillerson trying to protect the obviously duplicitous Abbas at the risk to his impeccable reputation for being a straight shooter?
The middle east once again is raising it´s buzzard head to entangle another US President into it´s perpetually filthy goo.
"There are two reasons that Kerry had no prospects for reaching a deal."
There are many reasons. Kerry is a lying, tin star, purple heart stealing, self-proclaimed hero, horse-faced, cheating, medal-throwing, treasonous, money grubbing, pompous, rich widow-chasing, liberal fool who took the job as Secretary of State so his previously-mentioned horse face would be in front of the cameras and reminding Americans that he should be President simply because "Do you know who I am?" Thus, nobody could believe or take the man seriously.
Very interesting. Perhaps Kerry et al spiked the deal by refusing to budge on a position that they knew [March 2014] PM Bibi would not tolerate. What is odd is that the Kerry´s team took a position more extreme than the PLO´s demand. They [Kerry] wanted Jewish inhabitants removed from those newly designated ´Palestinian´ towns [formerly in Judea and Samaria]. Of course Abbas refused the next US proposal - even tho´ it was based on talks with the Palestinians. SOP for theses charlatans. They say Peace, Peace with their mouths & have greed & hate in their hearts.
OK - I am posting again as I read the entire article - not just the sort of misleading headline. The really good news is that Trump & the State Department are not pressuring Netanyahu on several items which the US has supported in the past some as far back as the Bush Admin. 1 - the foreign NGO´s funded by governments hostile to Israel. The PM has officially come out against them. 2 - Shutting down Al Jazeera in Israel which incites all sorts of bad things. 3 - And most importantly the PM called for the ending of the UNRWA! UNRWA prevents the permanent resettlement of the Arabs who left Israel in 1948 and 1949 as well as their descendants. Trump may make this US policy too!

Here´s one of my favorite parts:
Then there is UNRWA. The UN’s refugee agency dedicated to the Palestinians is arguably one of the central reasons for the perpetuation of the Palestinian conflict with Israel. Indeed, UNRWA was formed by the Arab governments to specifically block all prospect of peace between Israel and its neighbors.
UNRWA prevents the permanent resettlement of the Arabs who left Israel in 1948 and 1949 as well as their descendants. It has doomed five generations of “refugees” to live in the squalor of its camps, blocked from receiving citizenship in the countries of their birth and prevented from being resettled in other countries. (Snip)
Under Obama, the US increased its payments to UNRWA even as UNRWA schools, clinics and other facilities have been used as missile launching pads and storage depots in Hamas’s war against Israel.
This week, Netanyahu finally put to rest the dangerous folly that UNRWA is a foil to Hamas and a positive force in the region. He called for UNRWA to be dismantled and for the Palestinians and their descendants to be treated like every other refugee group in the world and be resettled by the UN’s high commissioner for refugees.
His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI announced it through the Vatican, to shock and surprise. A poised Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands revealed it in a video uploaded to YouTube, and King Juan Carlos of Spain confirmed it by signing a parliamentary bill. Queen Elizabeth, however, has vowed that abdicate is something she will never do. Abdication is, after all, a dirty word in the corridors of Royal palaces, especially after the earthquake caused when her uncle Edward VIII quit the throne in 1936 to marry the twice-divorced Wallis Simpson. And there is no indication that that will ever change. Yet
President Donald Trump has condemned the violence taking place in Charlottesville Virginia amid a planned white nationalist rally. The president took to Twitter to denounce the white nationalists who stormed the city with tiki torches for a planned ´Unite the Right´ rally. ´We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for,´ he wrote. ´There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!´ ´Am in Bedminster for meetings & press conference on V.A. & all that we have done, and are doing, to make it better-but Charlottesville sad!´
A police officer, a songwriter and a surgeon who were blocked by on Twitter by Donald Trump are among a group suing the President. A lawsuit has been filed by seven Twitter users who have fallen foul of the commander-in-chief, plus the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University. It has accused Trump of trying to ´suppress dissent´ after the seven criticized him on the social network. Legal papers state: ´In an effort to suppress dissent in this forum, Defendants have excluded—“blocked”—Twitter users who have criticized the President or his policies. ´This practice is unconstitutional, and this suit seeks to end it.´
e-mail View comments Retired Gen. John Kelly, who is working to bring order to the White House as chief of staff, says it is his job to tell ´truth to power´ but then ´salute´ once a decision gets made. ´Remember, telling the unvarnished truth to power doesn´t mean you always get your way,´ Kelly told Fox News in his first interview since he replaced chief of staff Reince Priebus. ´The principal ultimately decides and it is our way that so long as that decision is legal, moral, and ethical, one salutes and executes. Sometimes you win and sometimes you don´t,´
Loretta Lynch, President Obama´s last attorney-general, used a secret email address for official business under the name Elizabeth Carlisle, it has been revealed. Lynch used the account to discuss her notorious meeting on a plane with Bill Clinton while his wife´s own email scandal was being investigated by the FBI. The disclosure is the latest blow to the reputation of the woman who had once been the country´s most senior law enforcement official. She had to step aside from deciding on whether to charge Hillary Clinton with breaking the law for having her secret server in alleged breach of national security law because
Sadiq Khan today tore into YouTube for refusing to take down four ´shocking´ videos boasting about gang violence which were reported to them by the police. The London Mayor warned that people could be killed needlessly unless more is done to take down material which encourages violence. The menacing videos, in which gang members wearing scarves and masks and brag about how they would murder their rivals, have been viewed over 356,000 times. The Metropolitan Police reported the clips to the internet giant in December, but despite having policies to remove threatening material, eight months on YouTube have
President Donald Trump said in morning tweets that his base is actually getting ´bigger & stronger´ in spite of polling that shows support for the Republican executive receding. A Quinnipiac University poll shows Republican optimism about Trump´s presidency dropping 12 points since January. His backing among other voters who were key to his victory has also been slipping. Trump launched an assault from his New Jersey golf club on ´fake news´ this morning in a flurry of tweets attacking the survey. His actions in office, he said, ´have driven the Trump base even closer together. Will never change!´ The tweets corresponded with Trump´s
NEW ORLEANS – Even after heavy rains stopped pouring down Saturday, many residents in areas of the city experienced rising water. Residents in Lakeview said hours after the rainfall stopped, water was rising inch-by-inch. However, city officials said during a press conference Sunday that rising water during drainage is a “normal occurrence.” “When you get that much rainfall it takes time for them to catch up,” said Ryan Berni, Deputy Mayor of External Affairs about the city´s drainage system. “Particularly lower lying areas, in the lowest parts of the city, water goes to those areas as the system takes time
The driver of a truck bearing a construction company´s name shown in a video speeding down a heavily flooded Mid-City street and pushing wakes of water onto inundated cars Saturday (Aug. 5) has been fired, according to a message posted to the company´s Facebook page. The video, which has garnered nearly 160,000 views on Facebook since being posted around 7 p.m. Saturday, catches a white pickup truck racing down Banks Street with water up to the truck´s bumper, then -- without slowing -- veer onto South Murat Street in Mid-City. Along the way, the truck can be seen sloshing water onto
Two Atlantic low pressure systems continue their threat to develop into tropical storms, the National Hurricane Center reports. A system in the west central Caribbean sea seems to be quickly gaining momentum, with a 60 percent chance of developing into a tropical storm in the next two days and an 80 percent chance in the next five. Those odds are up from yesterday’s 30 percent chance of formation over two days and 50 percent chance over five. “You’ve got to watch this one a lot closer because it is surrounded by land in all four directions,” said Dennis Feltgen, spokesman
SYDNEY — U.S. military officials called off a search and rescue operation on Sunday for three U.S. Marines who were missing after their Osprey aircraft crashed into the sea off the east coast of Australia while trying to land. The U.S. Navy and Marine Corps suspended the rescue operation and launched a recovery effort instead, the Marine base Camp Butler in Japan said in a statement, essentially confirming the military does not expect to find the missing Marines alive. The Marines’ next of kin had been notified, and Australia’s defense force was assisting the Americans with the recovery effort, the statement said. The
Stone-throwing terrorists ambushed a civilian bus full of children leaving a protest rally on the ruins of the town of Sa-Nur in northern Samaria Thursday. Arutz Sheva spoke with Rochel, the mother of 10 year old Shmuel-David, who was struck in the head by a large rock when the bus was attacked. Shmuel-David remains in the hospital for further treatment following the discovery of minor internal bleeding in his head. "We were on our way to the center of the country. When we left Sa-Nur we passed an [Arab] village, and at the entrance to the village we saw that Arabs were
Hillary Clinton´s pastoral adviser urged her to keep her head up following her unexpected Election Day loss in November and compared the election to Good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified. "It is Friday, but Sunday is coming ... This is not the devotional you wish to receive this day. While Good Friday may be the starkest representation of a Friday that we have, life is filled with a lot of Fridays," wrote United Methodist City Society Executive Director the Rev. Bill Shillady in an email to Clinton obtained by CNN. "Friday is the day that it all falls apart and
The debut of Megyn Kelly´s morning show is nearly a month away, and NBC is working hard to try and make sure America falls in love with the real her. The former Fox News host was featured in a glowing segment about taking her family camping as part of the Today Show´s ´Summer of Yes´ series. Megyn, her husband Douglas Brunt, and their three children Edward, seven, Yardley, six, and Thatcher, four, were filmed hiking, singing around the campfire, and touching worms. ´Sadly, I haven´t spent a lot of time outdoors since I moved to New York. I feel the
Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) made it clear he has no intention to stop reminding people that President Trump is bigoted against Muslims. The congressman spoke with radio host and Mediaite contributor Dean Obeidallah, where they discussed the fallout from the recent bomb attack against a mosque in Minnesota. The Trump Administration has been noticeably reluctant to comment about the matter, and Gallego slammed the president for marginalizing Muslims around the country with his rhetoric instead of promising to protect them as citizens. “It’s disappointing that Trump doesn’t show any leadership – doesn’t even do attempt to do it on his own –
Chelsea Handler suggested on Friday that U.S. generals should carry out a military coup to replace President Trump, who she called “our idiot-in-chief.” “To all the generals surrounding our idiot-in-chief…the longer U wait to remove him, the longer UR name will appear negatively in history,” the TV personality wrote on Twitter. (Tweet) Handler’s comments come as the Trump administration, including the Defense Department, are on heightened alert over a rhetorical battle between President Trump and North Korea. Handler, a Hillary Clinton supporter who cried when the Democrat lost in November, frequently makes controversial statements about Trump. Earlier on Friday she
These pictures show the inside of Pyongyang´s 360ft deep metro system - that will double up as a nuclear bunker if war breaks out between North Korea and the US. Images show commuters using the world´s deepest underground train system which includes two lines with a combined length of 18 miles beneath North Korea´s capital. Construction work on the Pyongyang Metro started in 1968 and was inaugurated in 1973 by Kim Il Sung, the grandfather of current dictator Kim Jong-un. And while it is usually busy with commuters, the depth of the subway system means citizens could also use it as
Former President Obama will re-emerge on the national scene this fall, though Democrats expect him to do so with caution. One aide describes the beginning of a "delicate dance" that aims to put Obama in the Democratic fray, but prevent him from remaining the face of the party. Aides will huddle with Obama in the coming weeks to plot out what shape the former president´s fall schedule will take. Advisers close to him say that while he will play an active role in helping his party rebuild, much of his work will be behind the scenes. He is likely to
Democratic representative Keith Ellison said Friday that he believes Neil Gorsuch is an “illegitimate” Supreme Court justice. Speaking on a panel at Netroots Nation, a conference for progressives in Georgia, Ellison accused Republicans and Trump of assaulting the United States’ representative democracy and the independence of the judiciary. “I said the other day that I thought that Neil Gorsuch was an illegitimate justice,” Ellison asserted. “I had a great progressive come up to me and say, ‘Oh don’t say that, that’s what they say.´” “I said,’No, wait a minute. This guy escaped every rule that you’re supposed to go through
In many quarters of the American news media today, seasoned journalists seem incapable of pondering those parts of reality that don’t complement their political worldviews. It goes beyond “bias”—we’re all biased. This is negligence. Consider the trove of emails between FBI and Department of Justice officials published this week. The emails concern the June 27, 2016, meeting between former president Bill Clinton and then-attorney general Loretta Lynch. As readers may remember, Clinton paid an apparently impromptu visit to the attorney general aboard her DoJ plane while it was parked at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor airport. It was extremely improper for the two
Col. David “Wil” Riggins, after a highly decorated Army career that included multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, was on the verge of promotion to brigadier general in July 2013 when he got a phone call at the Pentagon from the Army’s Criminal Investigative Division to come in for a meeting. Once there, he learned that a blogger in Washington state had just accused him of raping her, when both were cadets at West Point in 1986. An investigation was underway. Riggins waived his right to an attorney and immediately gave a statement denying any sexual assault of the woman, Susan
A judge who could "decide Trump´s fate" previously served as senior counsel for Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy (Vt.). The Daily Beast reported Wednesday that Beryl Howell, who was appointed as a federal judge by President Barack Obama in 2010, signed off Mueller´s request to form a grand jury that will seek to gather documents and question Trump associates. Howell´s role could become "far more active," the Daily Beast reported. The grand jury could potentially put together a report that could start impeachment proceedings that would have to be signed off by Howell before becoming available to Congress or the public.
When we last checked in on newly released information regarding that infamous tarmac meeting between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton, we learned that the media wasn’t terribly interested in discussing the matter any more than absolutely necessary. But as reporters continue to dig through the trove of Justice Department emails obtained by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, we find out that there were some people who were very interested in talking. The people in question would be Lynch’s staff and they were having a flurry of discussions with
Wednesday night in Beverly Hills, CA, TMZ caught up with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and she said President Donald Trump was “bluffing” with his “fire and fury” warning to North Korea. Waters said, “I think there are some things that they want from us, and we have to find out whether or not we can work with them on the things that they’re asking for. And so this is something we should be very concerned about. But this is not the time to go bluffing and threatening. This is a time for diplomacy.”
