A Time Warner shareholder accused CNN of acting like it was the part the “resistance” movement against President Donald Trump. “I’m inquiring about CNN’s bias and our return on investment,” shareholder David Almasi reportedly told Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes during Thursday’s annual shareholders meeting. “Half the American public—which includes potential and current CNN viewers—voted for Trump last November and supports his agenda. CNN acts as if it is part of the anti-Trump resistance.” According to the Hollywood Reporter, “about half of the 300 people” at the annual shareholders meeting “applauded” Almasi while “several others later approached” him to “thank
This should happen at every shareholders meeting where the company is blatantly Anti-Trump. Advertisers should pull their ads and management should be fired. Once this starts to happen, you´ll see how fast things change. All it takes is a Joe the Plumber or a David the Shareholder type to speak out.
Pro-Trump, anti-RadLib, stockholders at CNN need to organize more effectively. ALL in attendance must rise as ONE! The RadLibs running that outfit infiltrated it after networking with each other over many years. CNN was taken over by RadLibs just as they took over the Heinz Foundation.
Fire the current CEO! Fire the current management! As long as the current RadLib Bill Ayers cadre runs CNN, stockholders that oppose what CNN is doing currently do nothing but complain, they are derelict in their duty.
WASHINGTON –The Cubs bought their 2016 World Series trophy to Capitol Hill on Tuesday and lug it to the White House on Wednesday for a meeting with President Donald Trump – expected by team honchos Tom and Todd Ricketts to be more low-key than the love fest former President Barack Obama squeezed in before leaving office. The Cubs are here for a four-game series with the NationaIs; Todd Ricketts told the Chicago Sun-Times, “I think the president just knew that we all were going to be here going to baseball games and thought it would be fun to come up
We know that President Obama had it in for Gen. Michael Flynn. The former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency was a persistent critic of Obama’s feckless policies, especially regarding ISIS. Obama reportedly advised president-elect Trump not to offer Flynn a high level position. According to this report from Circa, the FBI’s Andrew McCabe also had an ax to grind with Flynn. A few years ago, Robyn Gritz, a supervisory special agent, filed a discrimination/retaliation claim against the FBI. Flynn supported Gritz’s claim. According to Circa, he wrote a letter of support in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationery, backed
Underscoring the earth´s ever-changing face, a new island has been spotted off the coast of North Carolina. The crescent-shaped landmass off the tip of Cape Point in Buxton started surfacing in spring and now it measures around one-mile long and more than 400 feet wide. Locals have dubbed the sandbar Shelly Island, because of the vast quantities of shells littering its shores. Scroll down for video (Photo) Janice Regan, who lives nearby, told the Virginian Pilot that it was actually her grandson who came up with the apt moniker. She added that the island was just a ´little bump´ in
The Senate Judiciary Committee is probing alleged political interference by former Attorney General Loretta Lynch in the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Last Thursday, two Republicans and two Democrats on the committee sent letters to four people, including Lynch. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Crime and Terrorism Subcommittee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Ranking Member Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) signed the letters, all pointing to an April 22, 2017 New York Times report that said the FBI obtained an email or memo "written by a Democratic operative who expressed confidence that Ms. Lynch would keep
Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the White House Press Corps on Tuesday that CNN was “a disgrace to journalism.” Sanders’s remarks came after CNN retracted a “fake news” story over the weekend alleging links between a member of President Donald Trump’s transition team and a Russian firm, and after an exposé on Monday by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas showed a CNN producer admitting the Russia story was “bullsh*t.” (Video) Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump had blasted CNN on Twitter, along with other mainstream media networks. He also retweeted a parody of the CNN logo that recast
Senate Majority Leader Mitchell McConnell announced Tuesday he will delay a vote on healthcare reform until after the July 4 recess amid growing Republican opposition. McConnell, of Kentucky, said he wants to make changes to the bill and vote after senators return from the holiday break. “We will not be on the bill this week, but we will still be working to get at least 50 people in a comfortable place,” McConnell said at a news conference at the Capitol. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene on July 11 for three weeks then break for one month in August. A
The Democrats’ unprecedented losing streak continues. As Rich Lowry noted a couple of days after Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama’s chief legacy is the total collapse of the modern Democratic Party. In the handful of special elections this year -- including in Georgia and South Carolina on Tuesday -- nothing has happened to change that. As a refresher on just how decimated is the modern Democratic Party, in addition to the U.S. Presidency, along with the U.S. House and Senate, Republicans hold the state offices in: 33 of 50 governorships- 30 of 45 (with Alabama’s currently vacant)
The 10 Commandments monument was put in place on the Capitol grounds this morning and Sen. Jason Rapert, the evangelist who sponsored legislation to enable it, was on hand to preen before the cameras. He insisted the monument — paid by private contributions — will withstand the legal challenge promised by the ACLU and others to state promotion of religion on the Capitol grounds. He rests his case on Texas´ similar monument — a relic from a movie decades ago that had become so enshrined and essentially invisible that the courts allowed it to stand when a challenge was raised
A Democrat Senator who claimed she never met with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak actually attended a black tie event at his residence, it has been revealed. Claire McCaskill, the Senator from Missouri, tweeted in March: ´I´ve been on the Armed Services Com for 10 years. No call or meeting w/Russian ambassador. Ever.´ But CNN has now revealed that in November 2015 she attended an evening at his Washington residence to honor Democratic Rep. James Symington, who is from her state and worked to further US-Russian relations. (Photo/Tweet) McCaskill admitted attending the event after CNN obtained a photograph of her there, but said
Salon.com declared Tuesday as "Trump-free Tuesday" to its readers because "American politics have been consumed by one man for almost two years." "Trump-free Tuesday" includes the left-leaning publication to not mention the president in any capacity nor post his photo. "American politics and culture and media, and damn near everything else, have been consumed by one man for almost two years," writes Salon´s editorial team. "You know the person we’re talking about. ´Consumed´ is a metaphor in this case, but sometimes it feels almost literal, as if our country and its public discourse had been eaten by alien invaders or
“Never Trump” writer John Podhoretz, who once threw a hissy fit at Breitbart News over an article that was 100 percent factually correct, came to embattled CNN’s defense on Monday evening. Even though Podhoretz admitted that CNN published a “fake news” story that forced three of its employees to resign on Monday evening, he said yelling “Fake News” at the network is “unfair.” (Tweets) On Monday, three CNN employees—the author of the “fake news” piece and his two editors—resigned after Breitbart News’ Matt Boyle’s investigative report on Friday shredded a CNN story, based on a single anonymous source, that falsely
Project Veritas dropped a new bombshell undercover video on Tuesday. The video shows CNN Producer John Bonifield admitting the Trump-Russia story is B.S. but that CNN continues to push the false narrative for ‘ratings’. (Photo) O’Keefe teased his Twitter followers on Monday by sending out a cryptic tweet saying, “Independence Day is approaching, but this year the fireworks come early.” The video is the latest setback for CNN after a reckless weekend report on the Trump administration. President Trump responded to the O’Keefe video on Tuesday morning: (Tweets)
President Donald Trump broke a long standing White House tradition of hosting a dinner to celebrate Ramadan, a Muslim religious holiday. Hosting an Iftar dinner to mark the end of Ramadan fasting is a tradition that started in the Clinton years and was continued by Presidents Bush and Obama. Over the past two decades presidents have honored the holy day by hosting such a dinner. Thomas Jefferson was the first president noted in history to host Itfar in 1805 with an invitation to the dinner stating ´Dinner will be on the table precisely at sun-set – ´ the invitation read. ´The favour
An angry couple assaulted a Georgia fast food owner and her daughter outside a restaurant over a chicken and fries order — leaving the two women battered and authorities in disbelief. “I have a severely broken nose that requires surgery,” Quik Chik owner Jeanette Norris told the Daily News Sunday. “My daughter is scared. She was hit on her right side and has a black eye.” Norris was violently attacked at around 3 p.m. Thursday at the restaurant in Baxley after a couple complained about an order — prompting an argument that led suspect, Latasha Smith, to slap and punch
Former national security adviser and UN ambassador Susan Rice refuses to go quietly into retirement, even though she remains one of the most controversial figures of the Obama Administration. Now, thanks to a glowing profile in New York Magazine, we know that despite Susan Rice’s very public shortcomings (whatever happened to that dastardly filmmaker who spurred violence across the Middle East, anyway?), she believes any criticism of her tenure is at least partly the result of racism and sexism. When asked why she became a “target” in the Trump Administration, she replied, “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about
Actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner was shredded by social media users over the weekend after he called for an “all out war” to resist President Donald Trump. Writing on Twitter Sunday, the All in the Family star mentioned a Fox News report about the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 election. “When Fox says that DT colluding with the enemy is not a crime, the fight to save Democracy is now an all out war. US-Stay strong. #Treason,” he wrote. (Tweet) Reiner’s remarks were slammed by several social media users, many of them suggesting that the actor’s tweet
I’ve been talking about the importance of protecting against voting-machine hacks since 2002. And now, finally, people are starting to take me seriously. The move to paperless voting started in response to the Florida “hanging chad” fiasco in the 2000 presidential election. Some people (like me) thought this was a mistake, but such concerns were often dismissed. Now, apparently, you can’t be paranoid enough. As Politico’s Bob King noted, while 10 years ago critics of paperless voting were called paranoid, now both parties are worried. It remains true that there is no actual evidence that a single vote was changed by hackers
Ohio Gov. John Kasich came out against the Senate Republican health care bill Sunday, saying both Republicans and Democrats need to do a better job at helping poor people. “Both parties ought to be worried about poor people, because I don’t think either party particularly cares about helping poor people,” Mr. Kasich, who lost the Republican Party’s presidential nomination to President Trump last year, told CNN’s Dana Bash. “You look at the rates of poverty, the problems in this country,” he continued. “We have not designed a system to get people work. Everything we’re talking about now — getting people
The Obama adventures continue! Barack Obama and his family went rafting on the Ayung River in Bali on Monday amid their nine-day vacation to Indonesia, where the former president lived for several years as a child. Obama, wife Michelle and their daughters, Sasha and Malia, were invited to vacation in Indonesia by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who also asked the family to visit the presidential Bogor Palace in West Java during their trip, according to ABC News. Obama will also speak at an Indonesian Diaspora Congress in Jakarta on July 1. Obama moved to Indonesia in 1967 at age 6
Just days before he resigns from Congress, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said Monday that House and Senate lawmakers should receive a $2,500 per month housing allowance — something he explained would help ease housing costs for members who can’t afford two mortgages or rents. “I really do believe Congress would be much better served if there was a housing allowance for members of Congress,” Chaffetz told The Hill in an interview in his Capitol office, where he sleeps whenever he’s in Washington. “In today’s climate, nobody’s going to suggest or vote for a pay raise. But you shouldn’t have to be
A U.S. warship struck by a container vessel in Japanese waters failed to respond to warning signals or take evasive action before a collision that killed seven of its crew, according to a report of the incident by the Philippine cargo ship´s captain. Multiple U.S. and Japanese investigations are under way into how the guided missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald and the much larger ACX Crystal container ship collided in clear weather south of Tokyo Bay in the early hours of June 17. In the first detailed account from one of those directly involved, the cargo ship´s captain said the ACX Crystal had
The New York Daily News’ senior justice writer Shaun King blasted Christians Monday for perpetrating white supremacy for their support of President Donald Trump’s immigration halt. King put out a series of tweets accusing Christians who supported the halt of “fake faith” after the Supreme Court allowed Trump’s immigration ban to go into effect. (Snip) “To support a ban on immigrants & refugees, while calling yourself a Christian, is not faith, it’s white supremacy disguised as religion,” King tweeted.
Police are on the hunt for a couple who were caught on video camera beating a restaurant owner and her 15-year-old daughter because they weren´t happy with their meals. The incident happened at the Qwik Chick takeout stand next to U.S. Highway 1 in Baxley, Georgia just after 3pm on Thursday, reported WTOC. The couple, identified as Nathaniel Eric Smith and Latasha M. Smith, got into an altercation with the food store´s owner, Jeanette Norris, because they said their chicken was cold and they didn´t have enough fries. Norris refunded their money but she said they went ´berserk´ anyway and
The Supreme Court said Monday that most of President Trump’s travel ban executive order can go into effect, delivering the first major victory to the new administration on perhaps his most controversial policy to date. Justices said the lower court rulings that blocked Mr. Trump’s policy were far too broad, and said the president can begin to enforce his ban against foreigners who don’t already have some ties to the U.S. That means the president can begin denying visas to visitors from six countries — Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen — who don’t already have family in the U.S., or some other prior connection such as
