Tax Reform Campaign Launched Nationwide
to Address Lawmakers on Hill

Washington Free Beacon, by Ali Meyer

A national campaign focusing on tax reform is being launched to urge lawmakers on the Hill to craft reform legislation that would bring jobs back to America. The Job Creators Network and FreedomWorks have come together to host events in 15 cities across the United States to address the issue. "The Job Creators Network and FreedomWorks are partnering to hold events all over the country that are prompting lawmakers to address the tax burden that is levied onto our nation´s small businesses," said Elaine Parker, president of the Job Creators Network Foundation. "By uniting job creators and their employees in

So long as it´s not the ´Fair´ tax, or VAT tax. Talk about black market. The Russians and Chinese have extensive black market already in the U.S. The ´Fair´ tax would make them bigger than Amazon without paying one red cent in taxes.

The tangled mess that is the current tax "system" (gag) has so many vested interests defending this provision and that provision that it cannot be salvaged or "reformed".

No topics confound media with greater regularity than firearms and Christianity. To put it plainly, many commentators and reporters have no idea what the hell they´re talking about when it comes to these two subjects. We were reminded earlier this month of the press´ general ignorance of the Second Amendment and firearm-related issues following a politically motivated assassination attempt on a Republican member of Congress. And we´re reminded now of media´s general illiteracy regarding Christianity following the publication of a New Yorker article titled, "How A. E. Housman Invented Englishness." In a lengthy and meticulously edited piece examining the works

Friday on CNN’s “Inside Politics,” anchor John King described Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” as “state TV” for show co-host Ainsley Earhardt saying President Donald Trump’s tweet was “smart.” King played a clip of the interview that centered on Trump’s initial “tape” tweet and his tweet yesterday saying he did not tape his conversations with former FBI Director James Comey. Earhardt said Trump’s suggestion of the possible existence of tapes was “a smart way to make sure he stayed honest in those hearings.” Trump replied, “Well it wasn’t very stupid. I can tell you that.” King said, “Let’s set

The summer reading list for Gene Ponder´s AP Government and Economics class at Spanish Fort High School in Alabama is causing some trouble. Mr. Ponder filled his list with books authored by conservatives -- and libertarians. I know – right? Imagine that - a conservative public school teacher! Sweet mercy, America! Miracles do happen. Mr. Ponder’s summer reading list was a bonus assignment and included writers like Ann Coulter and Mark Levin and Ronald Reagan and Thomas Sowell. For the past 10 years, he’s instructed the students to spend a portion of their summer reading just one book on the

James T. He took pictures of this otherwise unremarkable locale, and showed up there last Wednesday with two guns and a list of six elected Republicans on his person. He verified with a member of Congress that they were indeed Republicans on the field before opening fire, attempting to murder a bunch of them. A week later, one of the victims, Rep.

File this one under, ‘no, this not a joke.’ For Friday’s off-camera White House press briefing, CNN hired a sketch artist to render images of press secretary Sean Spicer as yet another example of their pathetic meltdowns over the Trump communications team’s decisions about access. On June 22, President Donald Trump raised three unanswered questions about the Democratic Party and the Obama administration’s role in claims that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. All three questions are backed by legitimate data and should be at the top of the list for news media outlets to investigate if the goal is to get to the bottom of the alleged Russia hacking story. Here are Trump’s three queries together with background information raising further questions on the subjects. 1 – Why did the Democratic National Committee (DNC) turn down FBI requests to inspect its hacked servers?

There is a long-worded Washington Post story gaining lots of attention as the definitive article outlining the ‘vast Russian election conspiracy‘. However, anyone who walks in the deep weeds of DC propaganda constructs will immediately note the Ben Rhodes styled fingerprints of obfuscation and disingenuous nonsense. The article is transparently presented for several aligned purposes; all of them political, including the intensely political objectives of John Brennan and James Clapper, and all of them transparently spreading the truth-sauce way too thin. As a deep weeds walker myself, and having inoculated against the nonsensical -albeit fashionable to believe- infection, here’s my

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch dissented from Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg´s Friday ruling that resolved a dispute over the judicial review procedure for complaints filed by federal employees. The Supreme Court´s 7-2 decision authored by Ginsburg reversed the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals decision in Perry v. Merit Systems Protection Board, and remanded the case for further review. The case itself involves the process for handling federal employee workforce complaints. Those complaints that fall under both the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 and federal antidiscrimination laws are called "mixed cases." When the federal Merit Systems Protection Board dismisses a

Jon Ossoff was on a trajectory to defeat Karen Handel narrowly, poised to deliver a humiliating blow to the White House in a race billed as a referendum of Donald Trump’s early months in office. Then the Republican voters in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District unexpectedly showed up in droves. Pollsters say sky-high turnout drove Handel, the GOP nominee, to a nearly 4-point victory on Tuesday, despite most pre-election surveys showing Ossoff with a small-but-shrinking lead. Mathematically, a 4-point loss for a Democratic House candidate in a district that has traditionally elected Republicans by wide margins is an encouraging result for

California is restricting publicly funded travel to four more states because of recent laws that leaders here view as discriminatory against gay and transgender people. All totaled, California now bans most state-funded travel to eight states. The new additions to California’s restricted travel list are Texas, Alabama, Kentucky and South Dakota. They join Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee as states already subjected to the ban. California Attorney Xavier Becerra announced the new states at a Thursday press conference, where he was joined by representatives from ACLU Northern California and Equality California.

"I recognize that repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act has become a core tenet of the Republican Party," Obama wrote. "Still, I hope that our senators, many of whom I know well, step back and measure what’s really at stake, and consider that the rationale for action, on health care or any other issue, must be something more than simply undoing something that Democrats did." Most illegal immigrants who pay taxes have stolen someone else’s legal identity, and the IRS doesn’t do a very good job of letting those American citizens and legal immigrants know they’re being impersonated, the tax agency’s inspector general said in a new report released Thursday. The theft creates major problems for the American citizens and legal foreign workers whose identities are stolen, and who have to deal with explaining money they never earned. But the IRS only manages to identify half of the potentially 1.4 million people likely affected by the fraud in 2015, the Treasury Inspector General for Tax

The deadly collision between a U.S. destroyer and a container ship June 17 took place while the freighter was on autopilot, according to Navy officials. The Philippines-flagged cargo ship ACX Crystal was under control of a computerized navigation system that was steering and guiding the container vessel, according to officials familiar with preliminary results of an ongoing Navy investigation. Investigators so far found no evidence the collision was deliberate. Nevertheless, an accident during computerized navigation raises the possibility the container ship´s computer system could have been hacked and the ship deliberately steered into the USS Fitzgerald, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer. President Donald Trump has said he will pursue legislation that would bar immigrants from being eligible for welfare for at least five years. At a rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, last night he said ´the time has come´ for ´new immigration rules´ that would require those seeking admission to the country to be able to support themselves financially and would bar the use of welfare for a period of at least five years. He said his administration would be ´putting in legislation to that effect very shortly.´ It is unclear, however, how Trump´s proposal would change the current situation.

Ex-Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson’s testimony Wednesday should mark the definitive end of “Russia hacked the election” hysteria. Too bad it took so long to get to this point. Johnson told the House Intelligence Committee outright that the Russians failed to alter “ballots, ballot counts or reporting of election results.” Yes, it’s clear Russia (with Vladimir Putin’s full approval) orchestrated cyberattacks designed to influence the 2016 contest, and also pushed fake news. But the hack, and release via WikiLeaks, etc., of Democratic e-mails produced nothing game-changing. The biggest impact was to confirm the obvious: The Democratic National Committee favored Hillary Clinton from the
