The top 3 miss US Open cut,

ERIN, Wis.— The biggest surprise at this U.S. Open was not who was leading, but who was leaving. Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day — the top three players in the world, all of them professing expansive Erin Hills to be perfect for their games — spent Friday cleaning out their lockers after missing the cut. Left behind was the biggest 36-hole logjam in 43 years at the U.S. Open. Paul Casey chopped his way to a triple bogey, only to respond with five straight birdies that carried him to a 1-under 71 and make him the first to

When you´ve got Maria Bartiromo from Fox Business broadcasting from the Wisconsin US Open, you know this is going t/b a snoozer. Did not watch but what are the fairways there - 75 yards wide? Much rather watch the Pros cough & sputter on like the Washington state Chambers Bay course where they had to ´earn it´.

No one player can dominate for long these days. With so many players within striking distance it should be fun to watch the leaderboard in Round 3.

The infamous Phoenix airport tarmac meeting between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton is currently being investigated by the American Center for Law and Justice. After pouring over documents connected to the meeting, the legal team says they were shocked to learn how dishonest the FBI under James Comey was in relation to the incident. The ACLJ says they were shocked with the dishonesty of the Comey FBI regarding the controversial tarmac meeting. “We have just obtained hundreds of pages in our ongoing investigation and federal lawsuit on former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s tarmac meeting with former

I´ve spent the last two weeks teaching a course on the history of the conservative intellectual movement for the Hertog political studies program. This is the second year Hertog has offered the course, and the first time under President Trump. I like to joke that I offered the students, all of whom were intelligent, well spoken, and impressive, a complete story. There was a beginning, middle, and end. If, as Alfred North Whitehead said, the history of philosophy is a series of footnotes to Plato, then the history of intellectual conservatism in America is a series of influences on the

Add Newsweek to the list of publications that no longer care at all if President Trump or his ever-changing administration coterie ever give them the time of day again. The weekly has likely burned every bridge with its latest cover story — or more accurately, its latest brutal cover. Newsweek unveiled it on Thursday, and while the subject and headline — Trump, America’s Boy King: Golf and Television Won’t Make America Great Again — weren’t exactly kind to the 45th president, it was the cover that had Trump opponents standing up and cheering. Set against the backdrop of the White

Early Thursday morning, President Trump teased a big announcement that would be made at his campaign rally in West Virginia later in the day. Like many things in Washington lately, the announcement leaked early and it was one liberals couldn’t stand: Jim Justice, the governor of the state, was changing his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. It’s rare for sitting governors to change their party affiliation, but that didn’t matter to ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News who ignored the news altogether. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Friday that the Justice Department is ramping up steps to investigate and prosecute government leakers, a day after transcripts of President Trump´s calls with two foreign leaders were leaked to the Washington Post. "Criminals who would illegally use their access to our most sensitive information to endanger our national security are in fact being investigated, and will be prosecuted," he said in a press conference. Sessions stressed that his department doesn´t confirm or deny specific investigations, but made it clear there are many more leak investigations ongoing today than there were less than a year

Batten down the hatches. Thanks in part to warmer waters in the southern Atlantic Ocean, experts are predicting a worse-than-usual hurricane season. The probability of a major hurricane making landfall on US soil is 62 percent, according to a new forecast out Friday morning from Colorado State’s Tropical Meteorology Project, which uses 60 years of data to assess current weather conditions. On average, the probability of hurricanes making landfall is significantly less: 52 percent. Though hurricane season lasts from June 1 to November 30, its peak comes during the late summer and fall. America’s atheists are losing faith — in President Trump. For months, secular organizations say they have unsuccessfully lobbied the president to make an effort to reach out to America’s nonreligious community. Now, revelations of a weekly Bible study group in the Trump White House, regularly attended by high-ranking Cabinet members, has free thinkers up in arms. The Freedom From Religion Foundation is calling the Bible study group disturbing, scary and maybe even an illegal use of taxpayer funds. “If those officials want privacy, the solution is pretty damn simple: Study the Bible in your private capacity, not in your official

We are bombarded daily by the Democrats and the Destroy Trump Media screeching about Russian "meddling" and "interference" regarding our 2016 election. "Meddling" and "interference" are vague charges unless one specifies the concrete evidence. Since Mueller is authorized to investigate this "meddling," the lawyerly questions are, what is the evidence, and what did the evidence cause, if anything? Never mind that the Obama intelligence agencies and FBI investigated this before Mueller was appointed and found no concrete evidence. In a January 2017 Armed Service Committee hearing, John McCain, trying to help Hillary and the Dems sell the Russia story, asked:

VATICAN CITY — Two close associates of Pope Francis have accused American Catholic ultraconservatives of making an alliance of “hate” with evangelical Christians to back President Trump, further alienating a group already out of the Vatican’s good graces. The authors, writing in a Vatican-vetted journal, singled out Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, as a “supporter of an apocalyptic geopolitics” that has stymied action against climate change and exploited fears of migrants and Muslims with calls for “walls and purifying deportations.” The article warns that conservative American Catholics have strayed dangerously into the deepening political polarization in the United States. Given that desire, and given the fact we have absolutely no idea when Andrew Luck might return, this next move makes so much sense, it hurts my brain just to write it: Go sign Colin Kaepernick. A bipartisan pair of senators has introduced a bill aimed at protecting Robert Mueller, the special counsel overseeing the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, should President Trump decide to fire him. The bill, introduced Thursday by Sens. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., and Chris Coons, D-Del., would allow a special counsel who is removed to challenge the firing in court. There, a three-judge panel would decide whether the special counsel´s removal was justified. If the judges decide there was no good cause for firing, the person would be reinstated as special counsel over the wishes of the president.
