Khia Shanks, an eighth-grader who graduated Thursday, was making water balloons for the big water-balloon fight — a normal occurrence at end-of-year school picnics across the country. But this end-of-year event at Warren Elementary on the Far South Side ended up being anything but normal. Instead of balloons flying, there were bullets. “The kids were running around the playground playing with water balloons,” 14-year-old Khia said. “I went outside and saw a black van drive by and someone fired about five shots. “I ran inside. I was in shock.” (Video) Two of her schoolmates, ages 7 and 13, ended up

Chicago is full of racists. It´s just black kids, so who gives a damn. What a bunch of enablers. If this happened in the exclusive white enclaves of the progressive puke´s neighborhoods, they would ring it with national guard troops and patrol the fences with Rottweilers.

An explosion on a Tube train at the height of rush hour today sent a ´wall´ of fire through the carriage injuring at least 20 people in a suspected terror attack. Terrified commuters ´ran for their lives´ and were seen covered in blood with scorched faces and and hair after the incident at Parsons Green station in west London at 8.20am. Photographs from the District Line train show what experts believe is a ´pretty unsophisticated´ bomb in a flaming white bucket inside a Lidl freezer bag with wire protruding out of the top. Scotland Yard sources have said that it

Melania Trump put on an incredibly glamorous display as she joined her husband President Donald Trump in hosting a black-tie dinner at the White House. The 47-year-old looked a world away from the incredibly casual figure she had cut earlier in the day when she visited hurricane-hit areas of Florida, when she opted to wear jeans, a baggy shirt and $50 Converse sneakers, donning an $8,000 Monique Lhuillier gown for the White House Historical Association dinner and reception. Standing alongside her husband as he took to the stage to welcome guests to the decadent evening event, Melania was the picture

As President Trump is castigated by some conservatives over his negotiations with congressional Democrats on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, the president has at least one supporter on the far-right: former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio. On Thursday, Arpaio, who last month received a presidential pardon from Trump, said he supports the president on whatever he chooses to do on the Obama Administration program that shields from deportation nearly 800,000 young immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children. “Whatever final policy he supports, I’ll also support. He’s very intelligent. He cuts deals,” Arpaio, speaking by telephone from his home

A person close to the discussions said State may shift gears and speed up its responses to Freedom of Information Act lawsuits. The pressure from the White House may be working. On Thursday, the State Department released a batch of Clinton-related emails that show how she honored requests from Clinton Foundation and campaign donors to pull some strings. The department turned over to Judicial Watch, a government watchdog group, 1,617 pages of documents, including 97 email exchanges not

Hillary Clinton’s “What Happened” reads like a therapy session in which the losing presidential candidate works through the five stages of grief in real time. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign memoir includes a questionable interpretation of the central lesson of George Orwell’s novel “1984,” namely that individuals should trust those in positions of authority. Clinton’s memoir “What Happened,” released Tuesday, suggests the goal of the government-sanctioned torture featured prominently in Orwell’s novel is to erode trust in the authoritarian overlords who control all aspects of society. This perspective is diametrically opposed to the central lesson most readers have drawn from the book since it was published in 1949. “Attempting to define reality is a core feature of authoritarianism. This is what the Soviets
