Judicial Watch announced Friday it has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Justice Department for information related to memos former FBI Director James Comey testified that he had written about his private meetings with President Trump. The conservative watchdog group said its latest suit is in response to not hearing back about a FOIA request it sent the Justice Department on May 16 when one of the leaked memos was cited in a New York Times story. The withholding of these memos - that Comey himself discussed with friend Ben Wittes and asked friend Dan Richman to get to NYT reporter Michael Schmidt - is outrageous.

“Law enforcement”? Hardly. Partisan witch hunt intended to besiege and paralyze the Trump administration, if not destroy it entirely.

I am very thankful for Fitton and Judicial Watch for all they do to keep people honest. Fitton has been appearing a great deal on FBN - Lou Dobbs - and is a splendid advocate for truth, a rare and precious commodity these days.

Correction to #1, it is Chris Farrell, Judicial Watch’s Director of Investigations, who appears regularly on Lou Dobbs.

President Donald Trump´s childhood home in Queens, New York, can now be rented through Airbnb for $725 a night. The Jamaica Estates Tudor fits 20 people, comes with a life-size cut-out of the Commander in Chief and the only books on the shelves are Trump´s The Art of the Deal. Americans generally favor a more selective legal immigration system that would reward those who speak English and those who bring desired skills to the U.S., according to a new poll released Wednesday that could boost the new immigration bill President Trump is backing. The Morning Consult/Politico poll found 62 percent support for giving would-be immigrants who can speak English a leg up, and found 61 percent support for creating a point-based system to select new employer-based immigrants. Some 54 percent also said they want the government to weigh an immigrant’s need for taxpayer assistance in deciding whether to admit someone.

An attorney in the Justice Department who helped edit press statements about the tarmac meeting between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch is now a top attorney for Democrats in the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is currently investigating Lynch over concerns she may have tried to influence the FBI´s investigation into Hillary Clinton. The connection, first reported by the Washington Free Beacon, comes after hundreds of pages of emails about the infamous "tarmac" meeting were released by two conservative watchdog groups who had filed Freedom of Information Act requests for documents about the meeting from the Justice Department. Food stamp enrollment went down over the past year in 46 out of 50 states, according to the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) statistics on food stamp enrollment. The states of Connecticut, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia saw the biggest drops in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) enrollment. Connecticut saw the largest drop, with SNAP enrollment dropping 25.4 percent from May 2016 to May 2017. The state also saw a pretty hefty drop in enrollment over one month — Connecticut’s enrollment in the food stamp program dropped 14.2 percent from April 2017 to May 2017. North Carolina

Michelle Obama´s ´nasty, rotty´ school

The man who brought us the phrase "nasty, rotty" food has unsurprisingly been busted for corruption. That´s one David Binkle, a former chef who bit and clawed his way to the top of the Los Angeles Unified School District´s $354-million food operation, running the Michelle Obama-ordained school lunch reform that was so bad in Los Angeles that the students set up a black market in Flamin´ Hot Cheetos as a substitute. His horrible operation gave us that evocative descriptor, "nasty rotty stuff," which got around. Turns out he was overpaying contractors, taking kickbacks, and billing it all to the taxpayer.

CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin chided his own network Tuesday night for scaring its viewers with talks of underground bunkers in response to reports that North Korea is threatening to attack Guam. After sharing reports of the North Korean threat, CNN decided to take its viewers into an underground bunker in Hawaii to describe what would happen if the state were hit with a nuclear attack. The segment, which aired on “Erin Burnett Outfront,” explained that a nuclear missile could reach Hawaii in 20 minutes, giving residents only 15 minutes with which to brace themselves underground. Former vice president Al Gore suggested on Tuesday that President Trump´s presidency could end early for "ethical reasons." "We´re only six months into the experiment with Trump. Some experiments are ended early for ethical reasons," Gore said at a showing in Berlin, Germany, of his new film on climate change. Gore, the Democratic former vice president to President Bill Clinton, is an outspoken critic of Trump´s climate change policies. His new movie, "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power," argues climate change is an ethical challenge similar to the civil rights movement or the fight for gay rights. "We can win

Trump´s Unintended Consequences:

The term "Deep State" unleashes many paranoid fantasies. Movies and spy stories abound about the existence of dark, nefarious forces from our government aligned against us. But as Joseph Heller once wrote, "Just because you´re paranoid, doesn´t mean they aren´t after you." One of the more disturbing revelations after Trump´s win was finding that these dark forces not only exist, but are powerful and seemingly out of control. "Deep State" is hard to define, because it is composed of overlapping groups and individuals with complex and differing agendas. It´s an amalgam of people, agencies, and bureaucrats that changes. McConnell, R-Ky., told the group in Florence that he found it “extremely irritating” that Congress has earned the reputation of not accomplishing anything. “Part of the reason I think that the storyline is that we haven’t done much is because, in part, the president and others have set these early timelines about things need to be done by a certain point,” said McConnell, a Republican

When former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and President Bill Clinton were busted secretly meeting aboard Lynch´s private plane last summer by a local television reporter, a number of government watchdog groups filed lawsuits for documents surrounding the meeting. After all the FBI, under the jurisdiction of the Department of Justice, was actively investigating Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information at the time. In response to information requests, the FBI and DOJ said documents didn´t exist. Fast forward more than a year and it turns out hundreds of documents related to the meeting do exist and show the Department

The book features daily devotionals he sent her during the 2016 campaign. “Clinton is lifting up an intimate, closely guarded part of herself,” Emma Green writes. “There are no more voters left to lose.
