Unions plotting Red October: Militants

Union leaders are plotting a ‘summer of discontent’ to cause chaos and force Theresa May from power. Militants linked to Unite, rail guards, teachers and junior doctors told followers this week to prepare for co-ordinated strikes and national protests, which would bring the country to a standstill. They pledged to defy the election result and help the Labour Party seize power like the Bolsheviks in 1917, stating: ‘We will have a Red October with Jeremy Corbyn as our Prime Minister!’ The sinister campaign will start in days, with a protest planned outside Parliament on Wednesday to coincide with the Queen’s

Unions, when you do not respect the electoral process, how do you expect to legitimize your seizure of power by force, and how long do you think the opposition will go before they use force to retain, or take back the power they won at the ballot box? You should think, but you won´t, because you are crazy.

Loretta Lynch, President Obama´s last attorney-general, used a secret email address for official business under the name Elizabeth Carlisle, it has been revealed. Lynch used the account to discuss her notorious meeting on a plane with Bill Clinton while his wife´s own email scandal was being investigated by the FBI. The disclosure is the latest blow to the reputation of the woman who had once been the country´s most senior law enforcement official. She had to step aside from deciding on whether to charge Hillary Clinton with breaking the law for having her secret server in alleged breach of national security law because

Sadiq Khan today tore into YouTube for refusing to take down four ´shocking´ videos boasting about gang violence which were reported to them by the police. The London Mayor warned that people could be killed needlessly unless more is done to take down material which encourages violence. The menacing videos, in which gang members wearing scarves and masks and brag about how they would murder their rivals, have been viewed over 356,000 times. The Metropolitan Police reported the clips to the internet giant in December, but despite having policies to remove threatening material, eight months on YouTube have

President Donald Trump said in morning tweets that his base is actually getting ´bigger & stronger´ in spite of polling that shows support for the Republican executive receding. A Quinnipiac University poll shows Republican optimism about Trump´s presidency dropping 12 points since January. His backing among other voters who were key to his victory has also been slipping. Trump launched an assault from his New Jersey golf club on ´fake news´ this morning in a flurry of tweets attacking the survey. His actions in office, he said, ´have driven the Trump base even closer together. Will never change!´ The tweets corresponded with Trump´s

NEW ORLEANS – Even after heavy rains stopped pouring down Saturday, many residents in areas of the city experienced rising water. Residents in Lakeview said hours after the rainfall stopped, water was rising inch-by-inch. However, city officials said during a press conference Sunday that rising water during drainage is a “normal occurrence.” “When you get that much rainfall it takes time for them to catch up,” said Ryan Berni, Deputy Mayor of External Affairs about the city´s drainage system. “Particularly lower lying areas, in the lowest parts of the city, water goes to those areas as the system takes time

Two Atlantic low pressure systems continue their threat to develop into tropical storms, the National Hurricane Center reports. A system in the west central Caribbean sea seems to be quickly gaining momentum, with a 60 percent chance of developing into a tropical storm in the next two days and an 80 percent chance in the next five. Those odds are up from yesterday’s 30 percent chance of formation over two days and 50 percent chance over five. “You’ve got to watch this one a lot closer because it is surrounded by land in all four directions,” said Dennis Feltgen, spokesman

Now we´re getting down to brass tacks. The UK is prepared to offer the EU £36 billion in payment of outstanding liabilities as we leave, according to the Sunday Telegraph. The figure seems to be well sourced and has a plausibility about it. Equivalent to 40 billion euros it is significantly less than the 100 billion euros some in the EU had mooted and is at least approaching the same ball park as the more commonly suggested 60 billion euros. Two things are particularly interesting here. Firstly, there has not been much outrage amongst Eurosceptics. Richard Tice, from the Leave Means Leave campaign

That´s thanks to Trump´s decision to delegate decisions and engage in a ´campaign of annihilation,´ Brett McGurk, the State Department´s senior envoy to the anti-Islamic State coalition, told the Washington Post. McConnell, R-Ky., told the group in Florence that he found it “extremely irritating” that Congress has earned the reputation of not accomplishing anything. “Part of the reason I think that the storyline is that we haven’t done much is because, in part, the president and others have set these early timelines about things need to be done by a certain point,” said McConnell, a Republican

When former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and President Bill Clinton were busted secretly meeting aboard Lynch´s private plane last summer by a local television reporter, a number of government watchdog groups filed lawsuits for documents surrounding the meeting. After all the FBI, under the jurisdiction of the Department of Justice, was actively investigating Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information at the time. In response to information requests, the FBI and DOJ said documents didn´t exist. Fast forward more than a year and it turns out hundreds of documents related to the meeting do exist and show the Department

Hillary Clinton wants to preach. That’s what she told Bill Shillady, her long-time pastor, at a recent photo shoot for his new book about the daily devotionals he sent her during the 2016 campaign. Scattered bits of reporting suggest that ministry has always been a secret dream of the two-time presidential candidate: Last fall, the former Newsweek editor Kenneth Woodward revealed that Clinton told him in 1994 that she thought “all the time” about becoming an ordained Methodist minister. She asked him not to write about it, though: “It will make me seem much too pious.” The incident perfectly captures

The FBI said earlier such records did not exist. This discharge of information is the result of a lawsuit filed against the DOJ by the American Council for Law and Justice (ACLJ) in November 2016. The newly-released emails mostly include DOJ officials’ conversations with reporters, who were seeking comment on the meeting between Lynch and the former president on an airport tarmac in

Trump lost significant support across the board, but saw big declines among areas of core support, including Republicans, Midwesterners, middle-income families, white men and the high-school educated. The results come in the wake of the Senate´s failure to repeal ObamaCare, upheavals in the White House staff, the ongoing investigation into Russian meddling in the election, and the daily beatings administered by the mainstream press. Donald Trump is the reigning king of American victimhood. He is unceasingly pained, injured, aggrieved. The primaries were unfair. The debates were unfair. The general election was unfair. “No politician in history — and I say this with great surety — has been treated worse or more unfairly,” he laments. People refuse to reach past his flaws — which are legion! — and pat him on the back. People refuse to praise his minimal effort and minimal efficacy. They refuse to ignore that the legend he created about himself is a lie. People’s insistence on truth and honest appraisal is so annoying. It’s all so terribly unfair.
