A news report today sent Washington into another spasm when it appeared that ABC and other news outlets reported that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein confirmed that he might have to recuse himself from any further involvement in the Russian investigation. Like invading Russia in winter, it appears that participating in the Russian investigation is a prospect fraught with peril for those on the front lines. While the news account has not been verified, there is actually very good reason for Rosenstein’s recusal. Moreover, any recusal by Rosenstein would add questions about the status of Special Counsel Robert Mueller himself. Rosenstein reportedly
While they might eventually recuse themselves, they have already appointed the Democrat lawyers throughout the Special Counsel staff who will conduct the investigation to undo the election by trying to remove President Trump from office. At the moment that is very clear, don´t be fooled if they do recuse themselves.
Fire them both and shut this down. Testimony before congress the past two weeks shows this is fake. Hire some conservative lawyers from out of town to investigate comey and clinton and podesta and obola and valjar and holder and lynch. Turn up the heat.
In a perfect and disinterested world, when Washington, D.C. is deluged in scandal, a nonpartisan investigator or prosecutor should survey the contemporary rotten landscape. He would then distinguish the likely guilty from the probably falsely accused—regardless of the political consequences at stake. In the real cosmos of Washington, however, the majority party—the group that controls the House, Senate, presidency, and U.S. Supreme Court—if it were necessary, would de facto appoint the government’s own special investigatory team, and then allow it to follow where leads dictate. Its majority status would assure that there were no political opponents in control of the investigations,
(Chart: Dow up 3,200 points since Trump victory) For Middle Class America, the chart above is a beautiful thing to behold. It represents more retirement account earnings, more job opportunities, more home values, more freedom to purchase goods and services, and more choice. While the Establishment Media and politicians have been wasting time with fabricated Russian conspiracies and personal taunts against POTUS Trump and his administration, just the thought of some of Mr. Trump’s policies becoming reality is enough to send the U.S. economy into a growth spurt not seen in years. Imagine if Congress would actually get behind this
The appointment of Kenneth Smith on Monday was bigger than the appointment of retired Marine General John Kelly as President Trump´s glorified office manager. Trump did not appoint Smith. Mexico did. This is one of many signs that President Trump´s agenda is progressing. From the Wall Street Journal: Mexico appointed its chief negotiator in coming talks to rewrite the North American Free Trade Agreement, giving the role to a career bureaucrat with 20 years of experience in trade negotiations who heads the trade office at Mexico’s embassy in Washington, D.C. Kenneth Smith, a 47-year-old trade expert with a master’s degree in international economics
Well, the headline attention on Venezuela’s collapsing democracy provides the tripwire trigger to go deeper into the South America crisis and how it is not rising up organically without geopolitical and ideological connection. Always remember, in the battle for U.S. sovereignty, there are multiple facets connected to larger and more consequential issues. (Snip) *Venezuela’s democracy is collapsing. *Argentina and other South American nations have been engaged by the Trump administration for over six months. *President Trump signed pro-active executive orders. *Mexico’s economy and political apparatus is infected with corruption. *NAFTA is on the cusp of renegotiation. *Candidate, now President Trump, proposed
CTH doesn’t know enough about General John Kelly (specifically) to be overly concerned about his political influence as Chief-of-Staff. However, CTH does know how the Administrative State operates, and therein everyone should watch closely and cautiously. If the President becomes isolated from his base of support, and consequently removed from his campaign promises, John Kelly will be the cause. (Snip)To facilitate and retain these priorities the President must be marginalized. To gain that marginalization the Deep State agenda is to isolate the existential threat that is Trump. One of the key indicators on John Kelly will be if the “physical structure” of
President Trump’s announcement via Twitter last week that he would discontinue administrative directives ordering the armed forces to accommodate transgender men and women in the military has met with an all-too-predictable response.(Snip)What can we say about the plan to revoke Obama-era transgender policy? For one thing, it violates no one’s “rights.” Transgender people continue to possess all of the rights of their fellow citizens, but there is no “right” to serve in the military. The military rejects many people based on physical and psychological conditions. Second, we are not talking about changing a longstanding policy. Opening service to transgenders was
Sally Yates -- one of the hundreds of Marxists Democrats appointed to the Obama regime -- wrote in the New York Times about President Trump not being normal. Good. That is why we elected him. Normal politics have created a Frankengovernment that feeds off our freedom and liberty. The headline showed how far afield this woman and the New York Times are from America: Sally Yates: Protect the Justice Department From President Trump No. No, no, no. We will not live in your fascist state where the FBI, NSA, and a score of other constitutionally questionable agencies do whatever the hell they want -- spying on thousands if
In the Final Days of Secretary General Obama, the EPA established a museum in the Ronald Reagan International Trade Building at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington -- providing a Whiskey Tango Foxtrot moment for a nation beleaguered by decades of anti-industrial policy.Of course, the Washington Post embraced the idea of a museum dedicated not only to revisionist history but revisionist science, with posters screaming: CLIMATE CHANGE IS HAPPENING NOW! Weird. From the Washington Post: A miniature museum that began as a pet project of former EPA administrator Gina McCarthy has come under scrutiny. It features the agency´s work over four and a half decades,
The Department of Homeland Security has released data showing how former President Barack Obama gave work permits to roughly 2.3 million migrants for U.S. jobs in 2016. The award of 2.3 million work permits was added to the 2016 inflow of roughly 1.1 million new legal immigrants and roughly 500,000 outsourcing visa workers, such as the H-1B white-collar workers. The combined inflow delivered 4 million legal foreign workers to Americans’ economy in 2016, just as 4 million young Americans turned 18 and began looking for decently paid jobs. From 2012 to 2016, Obama boosted this little-recognized work-permit inflow by 73
Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) introduced legislation Monday aimed at nullifying state-level gun controls that exceed gun controls put in place by the federal government. New York’s SAFE Act (2013) is a prime example of the kind of gun control Collins hopes to erase. WKBW reports Collins’ bill is titled the Second Amendment Guarantee Act (SAGA), and its language explicitly “[limits] the authority of states to regulate conduct, or impose penalties or taxes in relation to rifles or shotguns.” It is designed to catch laws that go beyond federal statutes and render them void. According to the Buffalo News, Collins described SAGA, saying, “This
According to most reports and intellectually honest reviews, Anthony Scaramucci was fired today as White House Communications Director because the new Chief of Staff, General John Kelly, wanted more rigid “unidirectional” controls. (Snip - screen shot WH press statement) It will be interesting to see who might be considered as a replacement White House Communications Director. One thought below: (Photo).
Many people don’t call President Trump the Tea Party President for nothing. For the first time in our lifetime President Trump’s fiscal policies, targeting growth in the economy, actually have the cumulative effect of lowering the national debt as measured by the U.S. Treasury. –SEE DATA HERE– When President Trump took office January 20th the total national debt was $19,947,304,555,212, or nearly $20 trillion. While there are fluctuating cycles of increase and decrease the debt reached a high of $19,959,593,604,841 on February 28, 2017, stalled, and since March 14th 2017 continually dropped: (Chart) Total U.S. National Debt has now decreased by
WASHINGTON — President Trump has decided to remove Anthony Scaramucci from his position as communications director, three people close to the decision said Monday, relieving him just days after Mr. Scaramucci unloaded a crude verbal tirade against other senior members of the president’s senior staff. (Snip) The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kelly’s request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge. It was not
“We cannot tolerate this any longer,” said the former CIA Director at the head of the table. “We have to forcibly retake the government from Donald Trump. It is the only way save our democracy.” His audience nodded solemnly. The men and women gathered at that secret February meeting on the top floor of 241 West 41st Street, the New York Times building, were Democrat politicians, media figures, retired and active members of the federal security bureaucracy, and several Establishment Republicans, and they were at wit’s end. There simply was no other choice. Donald Trump must be replaced, and it no
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has had a long run. At 77 — and a multi-millionaire — the California Democrat could ride off into the sunset. But the former Speaker of the House said Sunday she´s not going anywhere. “Self-promotion is a terrible thing, but somebody has to do it,” Pelosi said on Fox News Sunday. “I am a master legislator. I know the budget to the nth degree.” There have been rumblings that Democrats want to replace its aging leadership before the 2018 mid-term elections. Right now, there is no leader of the party, with Hillary Clinton gone and
It’s been an utter disaster for Megyn Kelly since kicking things off at NBC. The New York Post reports Kelly’s Sunday show has been pulled two episodes sooner than scheduled due to poor ratings. Ouch. Breitbart News reports: Last week, Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly set another viewership low with just 2.71 million total viewers. In the last three weeks, her show has failed to beat the years-old Dateline rerun the network ran in her show’s time slot when Kelly took a week off during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. According to the New York Post, “Kelly’s ratings-challenged Sunday show was
On the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in Germany last month, President Trump’s advisers discussed how to respond to a new revelation that Trump’s oldest son had met with a Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign — a disclosure the advisers knew carried political and potentially legal peril. The strategy, the advisers agreed, should be for Donald Trump Jr. to release a statement to get ahead of the story. They wanted to be truthful, so their account couldn’t be repudiated later if the full details emerged. But within hours, at the president’s direction, the plan changed. Flying home
Former Sheriff Joe Arpaio was convicted on Monday of defying a court order to stop rounding up immigrants, and he may face jail time — another rebuke for a once-popular politician who was voted out of office last year. In 24 years as sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., Mr. Arpaio built a national reputation for harsh conditions in his county jail, and for his campaign against undocumented immigrants; his deputies detained people solely based on a belief that they were in the country illegally, and then turn them over to immigration authorities for deportation. In December 2011, a federal district judge hearing a racial
President Trump should not be blamed for what the Republican Party has become, said Republican Sen. Jeff Flake, who believes the party´s problems began during the Bush administration. "I´m not blaming this lack of principle, or where we are, solely on the president. He´s more the culmination of it," Flake told NPR in an interview.
Imran Awan, a congressional aide arrested by the FBI after wiring $300,000 to Pakistan and misrepresenting the purpose, had previously wired money to the Muslim country and was frantically liquidating multiple real estate properties on the day he was arrested, The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has learned. Imran’s real estate properties provide a source of money that could be sent directly to Pakistan when two upcoming home sales close. Prosecutors have since filed paperwork saying they fear “the dissipation of the proceeds of the fraud and destruction of evidence in other locations.” Imran was arrested July 24 — four months
When Roseanne returns to the air next year, there will be a new character bending gender norms. Showbiz411.com reports that the revival will include a ´gender creative´ character. A source told the outlet that the character will be Mark, the 9-year-old son of Darlene and David, played by Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki. (Photos) Casting directors have been looking for a kid who can play ´sensitive and effeminate´ and ´displays qualities of both young female and male traits,´ the outlet reports. The original series followed the working-class Conner family in Illinois, and ran from 1988 to 1997. Roseanne Barr played
Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake claimed his party is in “denial” about President Donald Trump in a recently released excerpt from his upcoming book. (Snip) “I’ve been sympathetic to this impulse to denial, as one doesn’t ever want to believe that the government of the United States has been made dysfunctional at the highest levels, especially by the actions of one’s own party,” Flake continued.”… For a conservative, that’s an awfully bitter pill to swallow.” One of the few ways to stop a way-ward president is through Congress, Flake said, before calling on his fellow congressmen to acts as the “checks
Progressives, crazed with identifying new forms of oppression attached to the currently fashionable catchword “privilege,” have finally embraced the stupid as a victim class. Hey, let´s celebrate stupidity! Just ponder for a moment all the potential grand marshalls for the inevitable Supidity Day Parade in New York City, once the stupid are organized into a grievance-powered pressure group. And where else, but at a university, a temple of higher learning? In this case, one funded by taxpayers. This is from a genuine column in the student newspaper of the University of Iowa. A student suddenly has discovered that being smart is
President Trump, hoping to prod reluctant lawmakers to once again try for an ObamaCare overhaul deal, has zeroed in on a benefit that could serve as a powerful piece of leverage for the negotiator-in-chief. The president´s ultimatum to Congress: Figure out a way forward on health care, or lose a valuable insurance carve-out for you and your staff. The benefit allows part of their ObamaCare premium costs to be covered by taxpayers. “The president will not accept those who said it is, quote, time to move on,” White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway said on "Fox News Sunday." The president has
