It´s been just 48 hours since Republican lawmakers and their staff members were gunned down on a field in Alexandria by a Bernie Sanders volunteer while practicing for the Congressional Baseball Game. Republican Whip Steve Scalise is still in critical condition at the hospital and has undergone a number of surgeries after being shot in the pelvis. In reaction to the attack, Nebraska Democrat Chelsey Gentry-Tipton said it was funny to watch Republicans who were on the field get emotional when recalling what happened during media interviews. All you need to know:

she will not resign as chairwoman of the party’s Black Caucus, saying her post was taken out of context by party officials.

Let´s not be hasty on calling for her resignation, after all she is representing the Democrat Black Caucus in Nebraska. Let the people of Nebraska see what she is, and what the leadership of the Democratic party in their state is. If the leaders don´t have the guts to get rid of her, maybe the good people of Nebraska will remember this in next year´s election cycle.

The left does indeed have a message. It is based in intimidation and guilt. In the wake of the Georgia election, the left cannot understand or explain its rejection by the electorate. Some Democrats blame their fall out of favor on Nancy Pelosi. Increasing numbers opine that the left has no real message to tell. But liberalism does have a message. It is strong, clear, and quintessentially left-wing. Its message is the widespread projection of intimidation and assignment of guilt via self-righteous, sanctimonious activism.

John Eastman, law professor at Chapman University, writes in American Greatness this week that the powers invested in Special Counsel Mueller to investigate "Russian hacking/collusion/obstruction poses grave dangers to our body politic and our liberty." His advice to President Trump: Fight fire with fire. Turn the law and the courts back on your opponents. Trump is being investigated without any probable cause of a crime. The Obama administration, in contrast, is a target-rich arena of criminal activity. It is unconstitutional to issue a search warrant when there has been no crime and there is no probable cause.

Illinois is like Venezuela now, a fiscally broken state that has lost its will to live, although for the moment, we still have enough toilet paper. But before we run out of the essentials, let´s finally admit that after decade upon decade of taxing and spending and borrowing, Illinois has finally run out of other people´s money. Those "other people" include taxpayers who´ve abandoned the state. And now Illinois faces doomsday. So as the politicians meet in Springfield this week for another round of posturing and gesturing and blaming, we need a plan.

When the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed, Americans breathed a sigh of relief that the sun seemed to be setting on communism and its dictatorships. Although Fidel Castro and a few others clung to power, communism and its close sister socialism proved to be failed systems. History demonstrates conclusively that totalitarian governments have a limited shelf-life because they do not work. An alphabet of nations from Afghanistan to Yugoslavia had their fling with communism, only to realize that Marxism is a lie. It is a radical departure from truth and the reality of human nature.

Duke is the most fundamentally racist and sexist university in America. If you don’t believe me just ask Paul Griffiths – an Oxford educated now-former Professor at Duke Divinity School (DDS). Just last semester, Griffiths, who is white, expressed opposition to a Racial Equity Institute “diversity” program that was being pushed by one of his so-called colleagues. Expressing his opposition to the program resulted in a charge of racial and sexual harassment by a white professor named Thea Portier-Young.

One of the silliest arguments made by some Paris Accord supporters is that pulling out of the accord would weaken the U.S.´ global leadership because more than 140 countries, including North Korea signed on to it. In liberal thinking, it´s very popular to rewrite history to make the pharaohs black. I think it was all about the liberal ideal of building black self-esteem. There were no empires or castles or advanced civilizations in sub-Saharan Africa, and liberals felt there was a gap to be filled. Liberal pop culture emulated this theme, to the point of unintentional parody, in Michael Jackson´s "Remember the Time" video, where Jackson portrayed all the Egyptians as black and Eddie Murphy as their pharaoh.
