Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating whether President Donald Trump attempted to obstruct justice in the probe of Russian interference in last year´s presidential election, according to a story by The Washington Post. ABC News has not independently confirmed the report, which cites U.S. officials. Reached by ABC News, special counsel spokesman Peter Carr offered no comment. In response to the story, a spokesman for Trump´s attorney Marc Kasowitz issued a statement only addressing what he referred to as a "leak" from the FBI. “The FBI leak of information regarding the President is
He obstructed a fishing expedition designed to find somethimg/anything that could be used as a pretext to claim a violation of any law or judicial process sufficient to get him impeached but which they had not yet been able to find for the six previous months,
Comey criminally leaks an email that is clearly government property. Rosenstein in response appoints his closest buddy Mueller as Special Counsel with unlimited powers. Mueller plans blanket amnesty for Comey. Both of them start looking foe manufactured procedural ´crimes´ to bring down a constitutionally elected administration. Neat uh? How is this any less violent than what happened in Alexandria yesterday?
#1, that does not matter. The left is determined to bring down this President and they will stop at nothing to do it. Evidently, the Republicans have decided to let them. While I loathe the democrats, but I am sickened by the sight of the weak Republican leadership who let Obama skate and now will not vigorously support this President. I am very disappointed in AG Sessions, the President´s advisors, and rank and file Republicans. The democrats are waging war and the Repubicans are hoisting the white flag. This is a conflict that is being fought in the Court of public opinion and the Republicans aren´t even showing up to make an argument. We need warriors and all we have is an abundance of wimps.
This is infuriating! The leaks continue from the Department of Justice. All illegal. There were no obstruction of justice charges brought against Loretta Lynch and James Comey in the Hillary Clinton email "matter".
Where are the Republicans in Congress calling for leaks of investigations? Why does Mueller get to load up his investigative team with Hillary Democrat lawyers?
Who suggested Rod Rosenstein as DAG? Was he Sessions´ idea or someone else in the Trump Admin?
You have President ObBama on national tv say while the FBI was "investigating Hlllary and her emails that he didn´t think did anything wrong, nothing should come of the investigation, but that is not obstruction of justice?
Or AG Loretta Lynch meeting with Bill Clinton in Phoenix or....
President Trump and aides better wake up that the Left smells blood we water and that no matter how much Jared and Ivanka tells themselves that they will come to accept us, the Left will not.
#11 is right on the money... "What the hell is going on?"!!!! This entire investigation needs to be shut down, today! Mueller needs to be fired and the entire operation needs to end, today! There is no evidence of any crime, and this has gone on way too long. I agree that the Republicans must be secretly supporting these efforts. Why else would they allow this to continue? Beyond frustrating and needs to stop. TODAY!!
Shrillary stepped out fronting as the Queen of the Resistance a few months ago. She and her cronies are famous for the "war room." I believe there is a tight inner circle composed of powerful dem leaders, Just-us carry-overs, and media all choreographed together to carry out a coup of our honestly elected leader and his administration. Too much is conveniently orchestrated and piled on to overwhelm in many directions. We are experiencing political terrorism from the Left with their guidance being heightened Alinsky lessons imbued with anything it takes to bring down President Trump, Republican votes (congress) to make and pass bills, notwithstanding murder if necessary to accomplish their goals. We are witnessing the murder of our country!
I wonder who leaked this Comey or Mueller? It sounds like this democrat council is getting off to a leaking start. I find it odd they never leak anything about Hillary, Lynch, or any democrat and they never leak to Rush or Hannity, it´s always the NY Times & WP.
No names of sources, "no comment" from spokesperson. How long can the dems and the MSM keep this up until nobody but their own useful idiots continue to listen? They are trying to bait trump into firing Mueller so the obstruction of justice charges can be filed all over again. He´s smarter than that.
Conservatives held back their anger and did little to protest the left in public during the Obama years because we foolishly thought that the Republican Congress would handle it. We were wrong to trust them. Obama rode over them like a panicked Wildebeest.
I feel a conservative backlash coming on. The left has yet to feel the anger and the power that we have. Keep it up, weasels, and find out what real "resistance" is.
#2 does not go far enough. President Trump must first fire Deputy AG Rosenstein, who promptly appointed Comey´s "good friend" Mueller when AG Sessions recused himself. Then PT should instruct either AG Sessions (override his "recusal", if necessary) or a new conservative Deputy AG to fire Mueller and shut down the entire investigation .. er, "matter".
Damn the Democrat/RINO torpedoes: shut this down and full speed ahead on the task you were elected to accomplish. Drain the swamp.
Another Stinking Leak... So what about Holder and his gun running, Lynch and her blatant Obstruction of Justice on the Hitlery email scandal, Hitlery herself on her violation of numerous statutes releasing Classified Information and her obvious selling of access and Bribes for same...and Obama´s ILLEGAL activity abusing the FISA process and releasing information on American Citizens from ILLEGAL surveillance...and COMEY releasing private communications to Damage a sitting President, and.........
What he have here is a CONSPIRACY of the Democraps, why aren´t they targets?
Sorry for the second post, but I thought it´d be useful to quickly recap what we´ve got here.
The Special Counsel, Mueller... Is a close friend/BFF of Comey. Met privately with Comey just before Comey testified. Is widely praised by Democrats as trustworthy. Has hired 3 attorneys who are donors to the Democrats. Is alleged to have done the same thing Trump has been accused of (asking Waco prosecutors to go easy on some of the accused). And now has someone on his new team leaking even more disclosures.
Yeah, I´m not so sure of the impeccable reputation thing for this guy. Is it just me?
There is one weak ray of sunshine in all of this. At that is if impeachment is attempted against President Trump, I believe it will simply fail in the House. End of story. However, if by some miracle the House did voted Articles of Impeachment against Trump, it then has to go to the Senate for trial. And since it takes I think it take either 2/3 or 3/4 of the senate to vote against Trump. And I don´t believe that there are that many would do so. So, the dims alter war is to try to get enough republicans to force Trump to resign just like happened to Nixon. And again, I don´t think that Trump would do that. He would likely tell them to go to hell.
Why do you think the Comey leaked about Sessions with the Russian ambassador with his senate staff? My guess is to force Sessions to recluse himself from the Trump Russia non issue so democrat McCabe could have his democrat special council filled with democrats. McCabe´s wife took over 1/2 million from Virginia governor McCulliff while running for office (democrat) & he stayed on the committee investigating Hillary Clinton. Talking about a double standard! The republicans should have insisted McCabe be removed. I used to blame democrats, but the republicans allow the democrats to be the bully while they sit like kittens. This special council should never have been formed by Schumer for the purpose of dragging it out until 2020 to say Trump´s been under investigation for 4 years. If I was Trump I would pardon Flynn, after all the dems can´t hate him anymore than they do.
BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — White House officials, under siege over President Trump’s reluctance to condemn white supremacists for the weekend’s bloody rallies in Charlottesville, Va., tried to clarify his comments on Sunday, as critics in both parties intensified demands that he adopt a stronger, more unifying message. A statement on Sunday — issued more than 36 hours after the protests began — condemned “white supremacists” for the violence that led to one death. It came in an email sent to reporters in the president’s traveling press pool, and was attributed to an unnamed representative. It was not attributed directly to Mr.
‘We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides. On many sides.” Such was President Trump’s statement Saturday on the violence in Charlottesville, Va.Really: That was it.Yet “many sides” didn’t drive a car into a crowd, an evident act of terrorism that killed Heather Heyer, 32, and hospitalized many more, with some still in critical condition. It shouldn’t be that hard to summon up a few Trumpian terms like “losers” and “really, really bad people” to describe the hundreds of neo-Nazis, Klansmen, white supremacists and the like who descended on the
Lawyers for a HuffPost writer are pushing back against a $50 million defamation lawsuit filed by Fox News host Eric Bolling. The suspended cable news anchor sued writer Yashar Ali over a report detailing allegations that Bolling sent lewd photos to female co-workers. The lawsuit, according to Ali’s lawyer, Patricia Glaser, is without merit and “does not identify which purportedly ‘false and misleading’ statements could possibly support a $50 million damages award.” Glaser calls Bolling’s suit “a calculated effort to harass and intimidate Mr. Ali personally.”
Hillary Clinton has hired two political operatives from her 2016 presidential campaign to help manage Onward Together, the project she founded this spring with former governor Howard Dean to fund and support a coalition of Democratic groups led by activists and organizers. The new additions, Emmy Ruiz and Adam Parkhomenko, held central roles on Clinton’s campaign: Ruiz delivered key victories as state director in Nevada during the primary and in Colorado during the general election; Parkhomenko worked in headquarters as her director of grassroots engagement before moving to the Democratic National Committee. Both served on Clinton’s first presidential bid in 2008.
WASHINGTON — Donald Trump was promising to destroy a vile criminal cartel.Unfortunately, not his own.But one could be forgiven for mistaking the vicious tactics of the MS-13 gang, as described by the president in a Long Island speech on Friday, with those of the Trump White House.“They don’t like shooting people because it’s too quick, it’s too fast,” Trump said, adding: “They like to knife them and cut them, and let them die slowly because that way, it’s more painful, and they enjoy watching that much more. These are animals.” The president could have been describing his own sadistic assault on
Washington — Reince Priebus, the White House chief of staff who failed to impose order on a chaos-racked West Wing, was pushed out on Friday after a stormy six-month tenure, and President Trump replaced him with John F. Kelly, the secretary of homeland security and retired four-star Marine general. Mr. Trump announced the change via Twitter while sitting aboard Air Force One on a tarmac outside Washington minutes after returning from Long Island. Mr. Priebus, who had joined the president on the trip and never let on to other passengers what was about to occur, stepped off the plane into a drenching rain,
Anthony Scaramucci, the White House’s potty-mouthed new communications director, has been dumped by his beautiful blond wife because of his “naked political ambition,” multiple sources exclusively tell Page Six. Deidre Ball, who worked as a vice president in investor relations for SkyBridge Capital, the firm he founded in 2005 and sold to ascend to the White House, has filed for divorce from “The Mooch” after three years of marriage after getting fed up with his ruthless quest to get close to President Trump, whom she despises. One source told Page Six, “Deidre has left him and has filed for divorce. She liked
Sean Spicer is taking his first steps to transition from the White House briefing room to the bright lights of a TV news studio — but he’s also being courted by “Dancing with the Stars,” Page Six has learned. The outgoing press secretary spent the day in New York City in talks with major broadcasters about a new career in TV where he can share his insider knowledge of President Trump. Spicer, who announced his resignation Friday, was seen coming out of high-level meetings at ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox News in Manhattan, according to sources. A source told us some news
President Trump and his advisers are floating possible replacements for Attorney General Jeff Sessions — and the list includes Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), The Washington Post reports.Cruz and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) are reportedly among the candidates Trump’s team is considering to replace Sessions, though Giuliani said earlier in the day that he´s not being considered. Trump has repeatedly said that he is disappointed by Sessions’s decision to recuse himself from the probe into ties between the Trump administration and Russia, saying in an interview last week that he would have never hired Sessions if he knew
enate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer ripped his former colleague, Hillary Clinton, over her election loss to President Donald Trump and her subsequent efforts to explain why she lost. “When you lose to somebody who has 40 percent popularity, you don’t blame other things—Comey, Russia—you blame yourself,” Schumer told The Washington Post. “So what did we do wrong? People didn’t know what we stood for, just that we were against Trump. And still believe that.” Schumer’s comments—referring to Clinton blaming Russian meddling
The Republican president has a job approval rating around 40 percent. The GOP has an unfavorability rating around 56 percent. And Republicans trail Democrats by nine points in an average of "generic ballot" polls. McCain´s opponents bridge the political divide following brain cancer diagnosis All of which makes it notable that the Republican National Committee is trouncing the Democratic National Committee when it comes to raising money, especially from small donors. The numbers are striking. In June, the RNC raised $13.5 million to the DNC´s $5.5 million. For 2017 so far, the RNC has raised $75.4 million to the DNC´s $38.2 million.
WASHINGTON — Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, resigned Friday after telling President Trump he vehemently disagreed with his appointment of Anthony Scaramucci, a New York financier, as his new communications director. After offering Mr. Scaramucci the job on Friday morning, Mr. Trump asked Mr. Spicer to stay on as press secretary, reporting to Mr. Scaramucci. But Mr. Spicer rejected the offer, expressing his belief that Mr. Scaramucci’s hiring would add to the confusion and uncertainty already engulfing the White House, according to two people with direct knowledge of the exchange.
CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta unleashed a series of tweets throughout the day on Saturday blaming President Trump for the white supremacists rally and subsequently deadly violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. “These are the consequences of sanitizing white supremacists who seek to be rebranded as part of American ‘right.’ They are peddling hatred,” Acosta complained in his first tweet. Acosta made no attempt to look at his own employer or the rest of the news media in the mirror for the amount of free publicity they’ve given neo-Nazis over the last few years, but that would require a level-headed kind
FOX News reporter Doug McKelway attended the violent protests Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia. McKelway told FOX News viewers the police pulled out of Lee Park after the violence started. The police told him, “We’re leaving. It’s too dangerous.” (Photo) This was after violent Antifa terrorists launched an attack on the white supremacists. Doug McKelway: We are now beginning to hear criticism bubble up on all sides of this event about the initial slow response by the police. When I got out of my car yesterday in Charlottesville about 10:30 in the morning you knew this was a bad scene and
An Ohio man is accused of driving a car into a crowd of people protesting a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., killing a 32-year-old woman and injuring 19 others, police said late Saturday. James Alex Fields Jr., 20, was booked into the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail on one count of second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding, and one count of failing to stop at an accident that resulted in a death. On Saturday night, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the opening of a federal civil rights investigation into
Saturday was marked by bloodshed in Charlottesville, Virginia after an apparent white nationalist plowed into a crowd of counter-protesters in a blatant attack. And on the morning after, NBC’s Sunday Today put President Trump in their sights as they unloaded on him while appearing to pin the blame for the attack on him. At one point even claiming he “enjoys” the support he gets from the bigots who were rallying in Virginia. “President Trump condemned the violence there on Saturday but he did not specifically speak to the white nationalism that was on display,” complained Anchor Willie Geist as he was
Worst. President. Ever. Barack Obama executed the weakest economic growth in US history, the worst recovery since World War II, a genocide of Christians and minorities in the Middle East, and a disastrous foreign policy. The Democrat Party suffered historic losses under Barack Obama. (Chart) Democrats lost 1,042 state and federal Democratic posts during the Obama years including senators, representatives, governorships and the White House. (Tweet) But have faith Democrats– Barack is coming back to help rebuild the Democrat Party. The Hill reported: Former President Barack Obama will re-emerge on the national scene this fall, though Democrats expect him to
A day after violence broke out between counter-protesters and white nationalists in his city, Charlottesville Mayor Michael Signer on Sunday said President Trump deserves at least some of the blame. “Look at the campaign he ran,” Mr. Signer told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “Look at the intentional courting, on one hand, of all these white supremacists, white nationalists … and look on the other hand at the repeated failure to step up, condemn, denounce, silence, put to bed all of these different efforts, just like we saw yesterday. This isn’t hard.” Mr. Trump has come under bipartisan fire for failing to explicitly condemn white
President Donald Trump allegedly suspects his chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, is behind some White House leaks about fellow staffers, according to a new report. Sources reportedly told Axios that West Wing staff believe Bannon was behind leaks about National Security Adviser HR McMaster and that Bannon´s job could be in jeopardy. Trump has been ´irritated´ with Bannon following a series of Breitbart reports targeting McMaster, according to the report.. Bannon was formerly the executive chairman of Breitbart.
HAMPTON, Iowa — It was quitting time. Edith Rivera took one last lunch order, dropped off a basket of tortilla chips and set off from work, heading out to the farm roads where other immigrants feared to drive. Like them, Ms. Rivera, 33, had no legal status in the country where she had lived for 18 years. She had no driver’s license, apart from the long-expired North Carolina identification she held safe, like a talisman, in her wallet. But as she skimmed past the northern Iowa cornfields on her way to her son Steven’s seventh-grade track meet, she did not
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called on the Department of Justice to investigate a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va. that turned violent and left three dead and dozens injured. "The Nazis, the KKK, and white supremacists are repulsive and evil, and all of us have a moral obligation to speak out against the lies, bigotry, ant-semitism, and hatred that they propagate," Cruz said in a statement. Having watched the horrifying video of the car deliberately crashing into a crowd of protesters, I urge the Department of Justice to immediately investigate and prosecute this grotesque act of domestic terrorism," he
ATLANTA — Referring to the crowd of progressive conference-goers as President Trump´s "worst nightmare," Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., tore into members of her own party who believe Democrats should move toward the center in a fiery speech at Netroots Nation. In the Saturday morning keynote, Warren singled out a July op-ed in the New York Times written by Mark Penn and Andrew Stein titled "Back to the Center, Democrats." The headline itself was enough to draw a loud chorus of boos from the audience. "It was all about how we have to stop caring about ´identity politics´ and how we
Rep. Maxine Waters excoriated President Trump on social media Sunday for his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Va., saying the White House is now the "White Supremacists´ House." "Trump has made it clear - w/ Bannon & Gorka in the WH, & the Klan in the streets, it is now the White Supremacists´ House. #Charlottesviille," Waters wrote on Twitter, referring to White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and deputy assistant to the president Sebastian Gorka. The California Democrat added, "Trump refuses to condemn white supremacists & terrorists who showed up in Charlottesville. Is he sending a signal? Everyone must
Horror author Stephen King (author of Dark Tower) tweeted spitefully toward President Trump, claiming that he is unfit for office and must be removed. “Donald Trump is unfit for office. Needs to be removed,” (Photo) -(Original story from Breitbart): (Tweets) It’s hard to tell what is more deranged, the horrible creatures in Mr. King’s stories, or King’s faith in the MSM. Stephen King has been one of President Trump’s most outspoken critics from the literary community. In May of 2016, the King signed on to an open letter along with more than 300 other writers, including Dave Eggers, Cheryl Strayed
