If You Read One Twitter Argument On
The Scalise Shooting, Make It This One

It did not take long for journalists on Twitter to start politicizing the Alexandria shooting that targeted a group of Republican Congressmen on Tuesday, as Atlantic Editor David Frum was quick to make a gun control argument. “There was a terrible fire in London.. Would any British person say in the aftermath ‘this is not the time to discuss fire safety?” said Frum in a tweet, just more than an hour after the news of the shooting broke. John Podhoretz, the editor of Commentary Magazine, admonished Frum in a responding tweet. “Seriously, David, wait an hour before you start wagging

Comments:
It is just sickening and outrageous that a RINO had to be one of the first to bring up gun control. What a hideous jerk. I´m glad Podhoretz reamed him a new one. Then the despicable Terry McAuliffe took less than a minute to bring gun control into this horrific event. Link below. I cannot believe this happened in the United States of America. Considering McAuliffe´s behavior this soon after the incident I see there will be no change in the vile Democrats.

We´ve heard from one of America´s leading Quislings, "Professor" David Frum, now let´s hear from the late Adolf Schicklgruber, who had this to say about Nazi Germany´s Weapons Act of 1935---"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future."

I guess the Republican members left their "concealed carry" weapons in the locker room - big mistake: you never know when you´re going to need that pistol.

Frum´s shooting opening:

"David Frum: Given the non-stop carnage in [U.S.] due to our inability to acknowledge our national firearms pathology...”"

Another issue:

Given the non-stop carnage in the World due to our inability to acknowledge our global radical Islam pathology...

Frum´s solution for guns: take away all guns.
Terrorism solution Frum equivalent: lock up all Islamists?
Rational solution: Identify and target radical Islamists and restrict their movements and monitor their actions.

Extend this to: 1/3 of driving fatalities, about 10,000 people, are killed annually due to alcohol impaired driving.

Frum style solution: take away all cars
Rational solution: crackdown on drunk drivers?

No more Frum solutions please.

The hatred this subhuman demonstrated needs to be addressed. People that read others violent rants need to turn them in to a law enforcement that WILL investigate, not add it to the stack. Gun control? Number 1 it is number 2 in our freedoms. And second there are anywhere from 300,000,000 to 400,000,000 firearms in private possession. They don´t know how many and more are handed to the next generation each day with infirmary and deaths. So you must protect yourselves with detection and response.

David Frum complains of our refusal to recognize our "national firearms pathology." There is something pathological about the anti-second amendment crowd which blames every unjustified shooting on those who believe in the right of citizens to bear arms. Weed out the terrorists, criminals, lunatics, immature children and others who cannot be trusted with access to firearms and incidents of firearms abuse will decline sharply without affecting the right of Americans to protect themselves.

Frum is a perfect example of most of the left and the city nirvana types who are entirely ignorant of or even repulsed by the very concepts of self-reliance in all things, absolutely refuse to recognize the individual right to be armed for self defense.
in their Three Monkeys approach to life, they only imagine guns as doing harm, never recognizing that millions of times per year, guns in the hands of ordinary citizens avert crimes and save lives.

They will not recognize the facts of effective self defense, always denying the facts and evidence to the contrary. That all states but a few recognize nearly universal right to carry a firearm for non-felons of adult age is a fact not in their recognition.
Mostly they live in the few states who deny most the choice to be armed for self defense, and they fiercely cling to the notion that great numbers of ordinary citizens are only a millimeter from mowing down their neighbors over a parking dispute, regardless that it doesn´t happen where there are almost no restrictions on or no licensing required concealed carry beyond denying it to felons and children.

They are willfully blind, holding fast to their paranoid delusions about the ordinary citizen, regardless of the weight of facts proving them wrong about human nature, and the clear words in the Constitution, guaranteeing a right to "keep and bear arms which "shall not be infringed".

If they weren’t trying to destroy the president, Democrats would have to focus on an agenda most Americans don’t support. By 1968, voters had tired of the failed Great Society of Lyndon Johnson. Four years later, the 1972 Nixon reelection re-emphasized that a doubled-down McGovern liberalism was even less of a viable agenda. In that context, in 1974, obsessing on Watergate and a demonized Nixon were wise liberal alternatives to running on a positive left-wing vision, given the growing conservative backlash of the 1970s. After Watergate and the Ford pardon, Jimmy Carter squeaked to a close victory and a one-term presidency

Former National Security Adviser Susan E. A U.S. warship struck by a container vessel in Japanese waters failed to respond to warning signals or take evasive action before a collision that killed seven of its crew, according to a report of the incident by the Philippine cargo ship´s captain. In the first detailed account from one of those directly involved, the cargo ship´s captain said the ACX Crystal had

The New York Daily News’ senior justice writer Shaun King blasted Christians Monday for perpetrating white supremacy for their support of President Donald Trump’s immigration halt. King put out a series of tweets accusing Christians who supported the halt of “fake faith” after the Supreme Court allowed Trump’s immigration ban to go into effect. (Snip) “To support a ban on immigrants & refugees, while calling yourself a Christian, is not faith, it’s white supremacy disguised as religion,” King tweeted.

Al Gore is ‘an idiot’ who only made his vast fortune just because he happened to get lucky by obsessing about climate change. Possibly we’d all guessed this already. Now it has been confirmed by an expert in the field of finance – Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman and fellow investment billionaire Charlie Munger. Munger, who was speaking at an informal investors’ Q & A – recorded here – clearly does not rate Gore’s intelligence or investment acumen. “Al Gore has come into you fellas business, Munger said. “He has made $3 or $400 million in your business. The Supreme Court said Monday that most of President Trump’s travel ban executive order can go into effect, delivering the first major victory to the new administration on perhaps his most controversial policy to date. Justices said the lower court rulings that blocked Mr. Trump’s policy were far too broad, and said the president can begin to enforce his ban against foreigners who don’t already have some ties to the U.S. That means the president can begin denying visas to visitors from six countries — Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen — who don’t already have family in the U.S., or some other prior connection such as

Hillary Clinton cited a study showing young people who read the Harry Potter series are "more compassionate" toward immigrants and LGBT community members during her speech Tuesday in Chicago. Clinton made the reference while delivering a speech at the American Library Association´s annual conference, as fans of the popular book series celebrated the 20th anniversary of the first novel´s release. "Years of data suggest that reading fiction builds empathy," she said. "It helps us put ourselves in others´ shoes. One study even found that young people who read the Harry Potter books, which first came out 20 years ago this week, were

Losing presidential candidates over the past quarter century have tended to become more popular in the months following the election. But former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has broken that trend, according to Gallup. The latest Gallup poll reveals that a majority of Americans, 57 percent, continue to view Secretary Clinton unfavorably. There has been no change in this percentage since January 2017. Clinton’s favorable rating hit an all-time low, 38 percent, early September last year. The highest it has ever been was 67 percent, which was in 1998 when she was first lady.
