Taxpayers Give $30 Million
so NYC’s Shakespeare Festival
can Assassinate Trump Onstage

After learning that an actor dressed to look just like his father gets brutally murdered on stage in a production of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, Donald Trump, Jr. asked, “I wonder how much of this ´art´ is funded by taxpayers?" Well, thanks to some digging by Adam Andrzejewski, founder of the federal watchdog OpenTheBooks.com, we now know the answer: Data at OpenTheBooks.com shows that over $4.1 million in federal, state and city grants funded the New York Shakespeare Festival (NYSF) – the parent company to Public Theater and its production, Shakespeare in the Park – over the past three years.

There are no words that go far enough to describe how appalling and detestable this is. It´s so sad that this goes on with such little pushback.

Has the media ever so deliberately and consistently misinterpreted what a president said? It certainly seems as if the media finally found its proof that President Trump is a racist. ABC News’ coverage was all too typical: Trump quickly blamed both sides for the conflict, adding that there were "very fine people" among both the protesters — which included white supremacists and white nationalists — and the counterprotesters. "I think there is blame on both sides. You look at both sides. I think there is blame on both sides," Trump said today. "You had some very bad people in that

For days now the media and regular Trump critics on Capitol Hill have berated the President for his rhetoric about North Korea. Specifically, they´ve said his words about "fire and fury" were particularly incendiary. But back in the 1990s when North Korea was causing problems and issuing threats about atomic bombs, President Bill Clinton essentially said the same thing. From the New York Times in 1996: The North Korean Government accused President Clinton today of provoking it with threats of war after he warned that the United States would retaliate if North Korea developed nuclear arms. In addition to the active lawsuit I have in federal court over the intrusion into my government computers, I have been litigating several of the many failed government responses to lawful Freedom of Information Act requests. I’m giving up on one of them as of this week. It’s my request for public material the government withheld after the disastrous launch of Obamacare in 2013 when I was reporting on the topic for CBS News. We have learned, among other things, that federal officials gave incorrect and misleading information to the public and under oath to Congress regarding serious security failures in development

Once upon a time, brothers-in-law William Procter and James Gamble sold candles and soap. Their 19th-century family business grew into the largest consumer goods conglomerate in the world -- launching the most recognizable brands on our grocery shelves, including Tide, Pampers, Crest, Nyquil and Old Spice. Now, Procter & Gamble want to conquer a new market: identity-politics pandering. Industry marketers aren´t satisfied with selling useful products people want and need. They´re hell-bent on transforming successful businesses into social justice busybodies. P&G´s "My Black is Beautiful" campaign released a new video last week called, "The Talk." Trannies remind me of libertarians. To be more precise, the thing I find most objectionable about trannies is also the thing I find most objectionable about the hardcore, uncompromising “no government” anarcho-voluntaryist libertarian types. These “get rid of government” crusaders spend every moment of their lives hectoring nonbelievers like me, trying to make us acquiesce to their vision of a world without the state. What cheeses me off is, if you want to be free, if you want to live “off grid” without government, if you want to grow your own food and barter hens and nanny goats for potatoes

Lots of talk about language this week. Anthony Scaramucci, the ousted pick for White House communications director, was removed, apparently, for a variety of reasons, the most public being a vulgarity-laced conversation with a reporter. When the writer from The New Yorker first made public the “colorful” comments that Mr. Scaramucci thought were off the record, it was fascinating to watch pretty much everyone from the establishment rush to their fainting couch. This from the same sort of know-it-alls that were bragging about lying to the American people about Obamacare, with Jonathan Gruber speaking publicly about the “stupidity” of the American voter.

The United States is currently the world’s oldest democracy. But America is no more immune from collapse than were some of history’s most stable and impressive consensual governments. Fifth-century Athens, Republican Rome, Renaissance Florence and Venice, and many of the elected governments of early 20th-century Western European states eventually destroyed themselves, went bankrupt, or were overrun by invaders. The United States is dividing as rarely before. Half the country, mostly liberal America, is concentrated in 146 of the nation’s more than 3,000 counties — in an area that collectively represents less than 10 percent of the U.S. land mass. The
