Turns out, the joke was on Kathy Griffin
Miami Herald, by Carl Hiaasen

Original Article

What can happen to a comedy writer on a really slow day: “Hey, here’s a kooky concept,” Kathy Griffin apparently mused. “Why don’t I pose for a picture while holding a fake severed head of President Trump? Then I’ll post it on social media!” Everyone knows how that worked out. After an instant backlash, Griffin apologized, admitting the stunt was “stupid.” She lost several stand-up gigs, and CNN fired her from her co-hosting role with Anderson Cooper on the annual New Year’s Eve broadcast. She also held a strange press conference that veered from remorse to a rant against the Trumps for trying to

Kathy Griffin is a stupid person who was trying to gloss over her lack of talent by being "edgy".

It was only a matter of time before she would do something to end her career.

Hers was neither a joke-gone-wrong nor an attempt at political humor. This was her very own political opinion. She wasn´t hired for her opinion, but she was surely fired for it. And from CNN, no less. That is like being called ugly by a frog.

Liberals use their lack of brains and talent to keep pushing the "edge", of everything. Griffin did it and found there is a limit to how banal, talentless, and offensive someone can be.

Griffin´s whining about being a victim is like a bank robber moaning about being arrested when caught red handed in the bank safe at midnight with all the paraphernalia of the thief´s trade.

Typical minimize and dismiss tactic by the leftists.

Griffin isn´t a naive twenty year old, as evident in her latest photographs.

This hag has been around the block more times that a set of Michelin tires, and could easily be mistaken as a sister of the Gila monster. No amount of plastic surgery will erase the fact her face resembles a road atlas. Meeeoooowww!

First, Griffin stated she intended to target the eleven year old son of our sitting President, in a pathetic attempt to get ahead of her fellow comedians. When you have to smear an innocent eleven year old boy, you know your career is in serious trouble. Clearly, Ms. Griffin has no ´moral compass.´

Then, Ms. Griffin posted a self portait in which she held the severed head of our President. If this wasn´t a threat, I don´t know what was, because this sure in the hell wasn´t funny.

The definition of joke is that it is intended to be funny -- to amuse its intended audience.

This self-aggrandizing political stunt was not a joke.

Prepare for Kathy Griffin come back in this manner. Griffin appears on the View makes fun of herself and doesn´t mention the horrible picture. Whoopie and company adore her and loves it. Griffin steps on stage with Cher, Ashley Judd and others in the ´vagina movement´ then voila she back in good liberal standing. Leaving the politics of Trump bashing´ but making some minority group proud to have her as ´iconic´ spokesperson.

It would be a little easier to hear these disquisitions on nonviolence from brow-furrowing anchorettes and celebrity bloggers if many of them weren’t always obsessing over “reproductive rights.” When will these abortion supporters

Jim Mattis, retired Marine four-star general, was the first person President Trump nominated to his cabinet. Mattis received nearly unanimous (99 to 1) bipartisan support for his nomination. He then received an extremely rare waiver of the guidelines that exclude recently active military leaders from the position of secretary of defense. It has been more than 60 years since the last such waiver. What could create such unprecedented unity, even enthusiasm, amid the hyper-partisan political rancor of 2017? This overwhelming support goes beyond enthusiasm for his record of military competence. His sometimes shocking public statements and quiet triumphs point to
