Comey’s Testimony: A Limited Dissection
SharylAttkisson.com, by Sharyl Attkisson

Original Article

Posted By:Tianne, 6/12/2017 12:56:58 AM

I know a number of government officials and employees who like and respect former FBI Director James Comey. Much has been written about how damaging his Thursday testimony was for President Trump. It’s easy to find articles such as these on NBC, in the Washington Post and in The Atlantic. The fact that Comey was willing to give testimony that sometimes reflected poorly on his own behavior doesn’t necessarily mean he told the truth on all matters, but seems to weigh in his favor on the honesty scale. The following is a compilation of some of my questions, comments and observations

Comments:
Sharyl Attkisson reports on the testimony of James Comey point by point - excellent reporting, as always.

She shows how much of what NYT, ComPost, Atlantic, NBC, etc are pushing, standing by and failing to correct their Fake News.

Great Article. A sample "It’s unclear why the possible existence of tapes prompted Comey to anonymously leak his memo, especially since the tapes would presumably prove his point better than an uncorroborated memo".

Going to add hew site to my "must reads".

I was puzzled by her opener:

She seemed to issue him a break. I watched his testimony and don’t believe he deserved it.

Right #3 this is the belief that most take away from Comey´s testimony--that since it was self damaging, in many ways, that the entirety of the testimony is true. I don´t happen to believe that.

#3, 4 - I suspect because those people never read, "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made."

When you´re dealing with the snakes in DC (and other garden spots around the world), you always need to remember that.

Obama inc. has been teasing a return of America´s worst president forever. We were told he would "finally" speak out when President Trump and Attorney General Sessions decided to slowly wind down his illegal alien amnesty aka DACA aka Dreams of Illegal Alien Amnesty. What we got was a Facebook statement which conveniently promotes his own forum. It´s no coincidence that this comes after his letter to Trump became a news story. It´s all part of the rollout for Obama´s midterm campaign. Anyone could have predicted that Obama´s statement on DACA would be... 1. Dishonest 2. Self-righteous 3. Condescending 4. Hypocritical And no one is surprised

Mark Steyn joined Tucker Carlson to riff on Hillary Clinton, who is charging hundreds of dollars for the chance to meet her at a book signing and a meet-and-greet. Clinton´s new book, "What Happened," which chronicles the election she lost to President Trump, will be released soon. Carlson said that for $125, people could come to New York City for a book signing. Or, for $2400, they could head to Toronto to meet Mrs. Clinton. Steyn noted how Carlson compared the prices to that of a Broadway show, saying that at the New York appearance, attendees might get a "restricted

First Lady Melania Trump is being slammed for wearing stiletto heels to board Air Force One for the trip to visit hurricane-ravaged Texas Tuesday. She later changed out of them. Which begs the question: What shoes did Michelle Obama wear when accompanying her husband to Atlantic City to meet with local leaders and comfort residents? The answer is, she didn’t technically wear any shoes at all to go to New Jersey, because she didn’t go to New Jersey. On October 30, 2012, President Obama took a day off from campaigning for reelection to go to Atlantic City and stroll around with Gov.

Stop watching the eclipse. It´s racist. If you want evidence that the American leftist cult has reached a point of fanatical unreason every bit as bad as the darkest of dark ages, here´s a sentence from the Atlantic´s piece on the eclipse. On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will arrive mid-morning on the coast of Oregon. It has been dubbed the Great American Eclipse, and along most of its path, there live almost no black people. Presumably, this is not explained by the implicit bias of the solar system. Presumably. We can´t rule out the possibility entirely. It´s presumably not the case.

Trust in the mass media is at an all-time low. Two-thirds of Americans believe the mainstream press publishes fake news. Yes, there’s still much good journalism to be found, if you know where to look. Yet, ask reporters who’ve been around a while, and many will tell you that a lot of good journalism is being left unpublished. Good journalists hate what’s happening to the news. We have only ourselves to blame. Firewalls that once strictly separated news from opinion have been replaced by hopelessly blurred lines. Once-forbidden practices such as editorializing within straight news reports, and the inclusion of opinions as if

Mark Steyn criticized former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton for what he saw as hypocrisy in her objection to Confederate monuments. Clinton appeared to compare keeping statue erected to Confederates and slaveowners like Robert E. Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson to a Christian church featuring a Lucifer statue. She said that Lucifer "rebelled against God," but unlike in the formerly-rebellious South, "I´ve never been in a church with a Lucifer statue." "I don´t think she´s very sound on the theology or the history," Steyn said. "If the Confederacy is Satanic, the church... of Satan is the Democratic Party," he said. Has the media ever so deliberately and consistently misinterpreted what a president said? It certainly seems as if the media finally found its proof that President Trump is a racist. ABC News’ coverage was all too typical: Trump quickly blamed both sides for the conflict, adding that there were "very fine people" among both the protesters — which included white supremacists and white nationalists — and the counterprotesters. "I think there is blame on both sides. You look at both sides. I think there is blame on both sides," Trump said today. "You had some very bad people in that

For days now the media and regular Trump critics on Capitol Hill have berated the President for his rhetoric about North Korea. Specifically, they´ve said his words about "fire and fury" were particularly incendiary. But back in the 1990s when North Korea was causing problems and issuing threats about atomic bombs, President Bill Clinton essentially said the same thing. From the New York Times in 1996: The North Korean Government accused President Clinton today of provoking it with threats of war after he warned that the United States would retaliate if North Korea developed nuclear arms. Trannies remind me of libertarians. To be more precise, the thing I find most objectionable about trannies is also the thing I find most objectionable about the hardcore, uncompromising “no government” anarcho-voluntaryist libertarian types. These “get rid of government” crusaders spend every moment of their lives hectoring nonbelievers like me, trying to make us acquiesce to their vision of a world without the state. What cheeses me off is, if you want to be free, if you want to live “off grid” without government, if you want to grow your own food and barter hens and nanny goats for potatoes

It cannot be overstated how eagerly the Democrats want to take back the White House in 2020. The Democrats face many obstacles in this effort, but the greatest threat is the fierce internal divisions within the party. Two of the leading prospective presidential candidates, Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), have begun national fundraising operations. Former Vice President Joe Biden has been busy building a national email list to communicate directly with his supporters, and Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) has already announced his presidential candidacy. The Democratic Party does not just need a new leader, but a new

Keep these numbers in mind: 316 to 90 and 80 to 17. They were the lopsided votes in the House and Senate in support of the deal President Trump made with Democratic leaders on storm aid, the debt limit and government funding. Remarkably, all the no voters were Republicans. The numbers shout that we are witnessing a potential turning point in the Trump presidency, one that could further shake up Washington and rattle the calcified political parties. Frustrated by the failure of GOP majorities in both chambers to pass his agenda, Trump followed through on threats to work with Democrats. Signs suggest it was

The news that President Trump abandoned Republicans to strike a deal with congressional Democrats on a three-month extension of the debt limit yielded a predictable response from his predictable cheerleaders: It was brilliant and typically shrewd for the author of “The Art of the Deal” to take the very first offer the Democrats made and ask for nothing in return. Less obsequious observers on the right claimed this was the long-prophesied moment. The seventh seal had been broken. Donald Trump was “pivoting” at last. “The pivot is real and it’s spectacular!” proclaimed Ben Domenech, the publisher of The Federalist. In the lexicon
